The Sinis look of Stepmother,

"I have arrived in Indonesia" said a woman who had just arrived at Soetta airport pickup terminal. He just told the driver who was going to pick him up.

Fayre, a twenty-four-year-old girl who recently completed her undergraduate and master's degree at Rhode Island School of Design, United States. The girl who used to be called Fay was a graduate of the painting study program. Fay aspires to be a great painter like his late mother. Since graduating high school he has flown to America to realize his goals.

"Miss Fay!" There was the beacon of a middle-aged man not far from where Fay was at the moment. The beautiful girl immediately turned her eyes to the source of the voice.

"Pak Mukti." Fay muttered after seeing his father's private driver waving his hand.

Fay immediately pulled the suitcase to where Mr. Mukti was. His left hand carried a canvas wrapped in brown paper. Perhaps, this is the work for a special person in his life.

"Welcome back, young lady," welcome Mr. Mukti with a thin smile. The mature man immediately grabbed the suitcase and canvas that Fay had brought.

"Be careful, sir." Fay looks worried about the canvas in Mukti's hand.

After Fay and his belongings got into the car, Mukti immediately steered his car out of the airport area. On the way, Fay didn't say much. Fay is not a talkative girl and can be open to everyone, because Fay has an introverted personality. He would rather be alone with his brush and canvas than have to mingle with his friends.

"Why are we going this way, sir? This is not the way to the house!" ask Fay after realizing that the driver was taking another path.

"Sorry, Miss. This is the road to the hospital. You are being treated at the hospital" Mukti replied, staring at Fay through the rearview mirror in the car.

Fay was surprised not to play when he heard his father being treated. Bad thoughts began to hit his head. Without asking, Fay guessed what had happened until his father fell ill, because so far as Fay knew, his father always maintained a diet and exercise.

After decades of being on the road, in the end the car driven by Mr. Mukti arrived at the hospital. Fay soon came out with a painting to be presented to his father. He swung a step towards the hospital lobby after being told by Mr. Mukti where his father's room was.

"VVIP 001 third floor." Fay muttered as he recalled Mukti's words. He entered the elevator to the third floor as Mukti said.

Within a minute, the elevator doors were wide open. Fay rushed out and immediately searched his father's room. From a distance he saw two bodyguards in front of the room as Mukti mentioned.

"Sorry, Miss can't come in! Mr. Hardi still has an important guest." One of the guards confronted Fay when he was about to open the door.

"Who's inside?" fay asked as he looked at the sturdy man.

"There's Mr. Bramasta and his wife" replied the bodyguard who confronted Fay.

Fay gasped as his hand was pulled back. He knows for sure the culprit is Lisa— mom stepmother. Fay followed the middle-aged woman away from her father's hospital room. I don't know, Fay himself doesn't know where his stepmother is going to take him.

"When did you get home, useless boy?" hardik bu Lisa after stopping the steps at the end of the corridor. He looked at Fay with hateful eyes.

"I just arrived, Mom," said Fay with his head bowed. She was so scared of Lisa.

"Good! Your father has been treated here for a week, but you just arrived in Indonesia today!" The flash of anger is clearly visible from the look of Lisa's mom's eyes.

"You've been having fun in America for six years, and your sister, Dira, has to help your father work in the office! Who is your father's real son? Dira only willing to go to college in Jakarta to help manage your father's business, while you're his biological son, even fun in the country people!" Miss Lisa made fun of Fay without mercy.

"Sorry, Mom. I don't know if you're sick" Fay replied in a trembling voice. He felt sad because he did not know if his father was sick.

"You're a useless child, Fay! It just costs money!" Once again Lisa rebuked the princess.

Ms. Lisa turned her gaze when she heard the sound of someone's footsteps. It turned out that Dira was there to meet Fay. He knew that his younger brother had just arrived in Jakarta.

"Hey, Fay. How are you?" asked Dira after holding the body, "you're getting thinner, Fay," said Dira after disentangling her body with Fay.

Fay had not been able to answer the question, suddenly Lisa's mother pulled Dira's hand. The middle-aged woman kept Dira away from Fay, "Dira! I told you already! Don't get too familiar with him!" Lisa pointed her index finger at Fay.

"Mom, stop! You don't have to be that tough! It's a hospital, ma'am, embarrassed if anyone hears," Dira said in a soft speech.

Dira signals Fay to go see her father in the hospital room. Without much to say, Fay immediately left the hallway, to be free from the tantrums of the female tiger named Lisa.

"I don't know why Lisa hated me so much. I'm an adult now, but his attitude hasn't changed, either" Fay murmured inwardly. Only tears are a sign that the girl is sad.

Fay did not find two sturdy bodyguards in front of his father's hospital room. Apparently, the two men were not his father's men. He opened the door so he could go in and see his father.

"Father," Fay murmured after arriving near the patient's bed. He developed a smile when his father's eyelids opened.

"Fay! You're home, son?" Mr. Hardi was surprised after seeing Fay's presence in his room.

"Why don't you tell Fay that he's sick?" asked Fay after sitting in the chair beside the bed pack Hardi.

"Dad won't interrupt your lecture, son." Mr. Hardi clasped his daughter's hand tightly, "Dad only wants you to focus on college in order to reach your ideals," said Mr. Hardi in a soft voice.

The son and father were giving up longing, because Fay himself returned to Indonesia only during Christmas celebration, it was not long. Mr. Hardi fully supports Fay's decision to pursue art. Mr. Hardi smiled happily after hearing that Fay had graduated from Magister. Just waiting for graduation, Fay's education is completely finished.

"Oh yeah, Dad. Fay's got a present for Daddy!" fay said after remembering if he brought something to show his father.

Fay immediately opened the canvas wrapping paper. Face painting of Mr. Hardi when young, clearly drawn on the canvas. Mr. Hardi was really amazed when he saw the work of his daughter. He shed tears because of the burning feeling in his chest.

"Dad is so proud of you, son! I'm sure, surely you can realize your ideals in the future," said Mr. Hardi while wiping his tears.

The door of the room suddenly opened. Miss Lisa and Dira just walked into the room. Lisa's face remains the same as before. She stood on the other side of her husband's bed staring sinisterly at the painting in Fay's hand.

"So this is your college in America? How sad! It's a waste that your father would work hard if only such a painting were created!" A sinister look was clearly visible from the look of those eyes.
