Advice from Ms. Linda,

Linda's eyes could not be separated from the figure lying weakly on top of the gurney. Both corners of his lips expanded perfectly when he saw that the eyelids were twitching softly. It seems, not long after this, Fay will come to his senses.

Fay moved his eyelids a few times. It adjusts the light of the brightly lit IGD lamp. After being fully conscious, he turned his gaze to the side. Tears just shed after seeing the presence of Linda's mother there.

"Mommy," Fay muttered in a trembling voice. For some reason, it felt like he wanted to cry when he saw his father-in-law.

Ms. Linda pulled out her chair to get closer to Fay. This time he himself had to intervene to solve the problems in this corn-time marriage. The middle-aged woman was thinking of the right way to take her daughter-in-law's heart.

"Don't get arrested, honey!" said Ms. Linda while holding Fay's hand, "the story used to be with Mami, what you are feeling right now. Take it all out, son," persuaded Linda to stare at the black bead.

Sure enough, after listening to Linda's mother's words, tears flowed profusely. Fay did not know where to tell what had been buried in his heart. Everything was so painful for him. After her crying subsided, the woman began to recount all the events of her version. What has been done by Arvin did not escape the conversation in the IGD room, even with a soft voice.

"What Arvin did was outrageous!" said Linda with a hardened jaw. It feels very different when listening to the version of the story of his son and Fay. His heart was getting stiffer.

Ms. Linda was stringing words together to calm Fay down and bring her back to Jakarta. There was a sense of concern when he saw the sad face of his daughter-in-law. He felt that Fay's life was always in sadness.

"Son, Mami knows, you must have felt such a deep pain. As the mother who gave birth to Arvin, Mami apologizes for everything that happened. Mami failed to educate Arvin to be a good man" Linda said without letting go of Fay's hand. Even a tear can no longer be dammed by Linda.

"No. Mommy don't apologize. Mami is not wrong," said Fay in a soft voice so as not to sound other patients.

"Mami really hope you come back to Jakarta, back to live with all of us," said Ms. Linda with hopeful eyes, "after this you want 'I'm taking you to a psychiatrist or psychologist to cure your trauma." Ms. Linda stared intensely at Fay.

Fay could only nod softly upon hearing the request of the in-laws. Honestly, he could not bear to refuse Linda's request even though he actually did not want to return. Being near Arvin was painful.

"Son, listen to Mami talk. Mami just wants to remind you," said Linda as she stared at the black bead.

"The marriage can last if we are willing to forgive our partner's mistakes. Sometimes we have to forget the pain in the heart when we recall the sacred promise we made at the wedding,"

"Don't be like Mami first, choose to leave your papi because of burning anger. We all know that religion forbids divorce. High ego makes Mami forget all the sacred promises that Mami had said when married first. In the end, Arvin is the victim of all Mami's attitudes,"

"Mommy chose to reorganize the household, after Mami met with a priest. She's the one who's awakening Mami, if everything Mami's done isn't right. Mami ponders everything, tries to throw the ego inside and tries to forgive all Papi's mistakes. From there, Mami realized that our quarrel did not produce happiness, but rather a pain for both of us and Arvin."

Ms. Linda shed her tears after recalling all the shocks that had occurred in the past. She is very grateful to finally be able to build a household until this moment.

"Mami didn't ask you to forgive Arvin so quickly. But you have to learn slowly. Don't run away from trouble because it will make you tired. Face, Son! Let's get stronger." Ms. Linda is encouraging her daughter-in-law, "perhaps by widening your heart and being willing to forgive all the bad events you have experienced, your trauma will slowly disappear. You can be a great woman, son."

Fay closed his eyelids because he could no longer see the shady eyes of the in-laws. The tears seemed endless even though the eyes were tightly closed. Fay mused over all the advice his in-laws had just spoken. He also recalled all the sacred promises and sermons of marriage during the blessing. Yes, Fay knew, to the extent that he ran away from Arvin, he would not be able to part with him, because of the long words that the priest said.

"You are no longer two, but one. What God has brought together cannot be divorced from man except by death!"

Fay opened his eyelids after recalling all that advice. Perhaps, his escape all this time was useless. He did not find the bright spot of his life because he ran away from problems. Maybe, trying Linda's advice doesn't hurt, fighting all the fear to get everything done.

"I'm sorry, Mi" Fay said in a soft voice. He looked at Linda with a sad eye.

"All parents forgive their children's mistakes. Don't worry about it" replied Linda, wiping Fay's hair in a gentle gesture.

"Hows it? We go back to Jakarta after this." Linda's mom brought Fay back home.

Fay nodded slowly. Yes, he was sure to go back to Jakarta and go for treatment. He should be able to live a quiet life without the shadow of fear and pain. He realized what Arvin was doing, was not entirely wrong. All of that was Fay's own interference. Maybe it was the dishonesty that made all this happen.

"But, Mi, there's one thing that scares me about Arvin" Fay said, recalling the money for Mia's hospital fees.

"What's that?" Ms. Linda was curious about it.

"I took a lot of money from the debit card that Arvin gave to finance the operation of his daughter bi Atin," said Fay without daring to look at Linda's face.

What Fay said made Linda's mother smile sweetly. He was proud to see the social soul embedded in his daughter-in-law. Naturally, no one would be angry if Fay spent money to help bi Atin.

"Son, that debit card is your right. You are free to use the card. Arvin can't be mad if you use his money to help others. Maybe, he will be angry if the money you use to finance other men," Linda said with a joke.
