Explanations That Give No Clarity
Dira knew, he could not find the bright spot of his problem. Until a week he waits, only occasionally his papa meets Mayen and is right always on the side of the road.
Dira even to do reckless deeds by tapping Mayen's phone. There was no answer, not even Mayen's way of talking to Ernesto sounded special at all. Just bewildered asking for money on good grounds he and his daughter have no income. His way of speaking was full of respect like other employees.
Ceril's phone didn't give any clues either. Just a conversation
Dira knew gradually, his papa would realize if it was being watched. Before that, Dira had to ascertain the truth himself even though he had to punch Ernesto directly.
"What's this?" asked Ernesto who was shocked because Dira met him at the office. Usually if not asked, Dira will not come.
"There's something I have to talk about with Papah" said Dira.
The office door was knocked. Before long the leaves open and Daren gets out of there. "Thankfully Papah is in the office" said Daren.
Ernesto was astonished. Both of his sons came looking for him. Simultaneously. "I told you about the company, it's your decision. I officially quit my post. Why do I still have to look for me?"
Daren sat down next to Dira. "It's not a company thing. This is our family's internal business. I'm sorry I didn't talk about this at home. I just want to keep my feelings."
The opening that made Ernesto already feel bad from the start. "What is this really about?" ask Ernesto. Daren was relieved that her papa was completely unaware of it.
"Who's cheating, right?" todong Daren's. Dira's mouth was open because shocked by her brother's outspoken attitude. "You ever cheated and you're trying to cover up?"
Ernesto chuckles. "Where do you have such thoughts from?" asked Ernesto who was amused by his son's conjecture.
Daren took out some photos from his pocket and kept them on his papa desk. This office is rarely used because Ernesto has resigned as chairman. Only he occasionally came so as not to feel bored at home.
Ernesto was stunned to see those photos. He did not think what he did would be smelled by his two sons. "This is not something you should know" Ernesto said. He collected and took these photos.
"We need to know, we're papah's sons. Honestly, I wouldn't let Papah hurt your feelings. Especially for the sake of women who are clearly more beautiful mamah everywhere," Dira even more firmly.
Ernesto laughed when he heard it. He wanted to take this as a serious matter, just that the notion of his two sons was really funny.
"So, just don't cheat. About this woman, you can ask Maria yourself. He knows too. Only if you ask why? It's none of your business" Ernesto tried to explain.
"Please." Ernesto's expression looked calm.
Only Dira can't just believe it. "Didn't papah have threatened mamah to keep his mouth shut? Dira often sees in the cinema morning, cheating husband and his wife threatened to cover up!" suspicious Dira.
Ernesto patted the jidat. "So you often miss going to the office because you watch shows like that?" Ernestos's Reprimand.
"Blame Bia, he took it."
Daren flicked Dira's ear until the man screamed in pain. "We cannot trust Papah until he gives us the truth. Unless Papah wants us to investigate ourselves," said Daren not to lose.
There was a gap between them. Silent, Ernesto was still trying to think how to get his two sons to understand. "Kenan Group is our most valuable family-owned company. Our lives depend on this company. Your family's future is here" Ernesto began.
He took a long breath. His eyes were straight at Dira. "One day I was lost. One of my valuable files went missing and threatened to leak my job secrets. Until a man helped me by finding the file. He was willing to walk around on foot to explore the place I had been."
Daren and Dira were still paying attention to hear the story. "The man was the husband of Mayen, the mother of Ceril," replied Ernesto.
"A debt?" tanya Dira tries to summarize. Ernesto nodded.
"He's my most precious friend. He left and left his daughter. The only thing I can do is pay my debt by looking after the kid. Papah also felt devastated by the case experienced by Ceril. Absolutely unexpected for the sake of luxury, he was willing to do the deed. It really makes me feel guilty."
"It wasn't Papah's fault, it was his life's choice." Dira tried to shake off the guilt of his papa.
"Sometimes there are secrets we must keep for the good of someone. That's what your father and mother did. Whatever it is behind Mayen and Ceril will be better buried forever" Ernesto said.
He breathed heavily and then let out a. "Only every human being has sin and will one day turn to us. Therefore, you who are young .. take good care of your family. Quite like papah and mama who are always together until this old age. Marriage is something. Which must be guarded. After marriage, women and men are not the full selves" advises Ernesto.
"When we get married and have children, we are committed to giving everything for the sake of our child. If in marriage we still think about ourselves, it means we betray that commitment. If you are not ready, why marry and have children? If we feel that having children we can't have ourselves anymore, it's better not to be parents forever" Ernesto added.
