Firefields
Seeking Deal

THE NIGHT's getting late. Sabran was still waiting for Mat Yusi under the tree while peeking at the activities in Yudha's house. Many times he threw out a flock of mosquitoes that had been so greedy to suck his blood.

Meanwhile, Yudha himself also began to look forward to the results of negotiations between Dul Sanif and Mat Yusi. I can't wait for the good news from both of them.

“What do you know about the incident in the clove field Jauhari earlier?” ask Mat Yusi to Dul Sanif.

“Actually I was there. But all outside of plan. At first I just wanted to see you alone. Yudha actually asked me to invite the roof tiles to accompany,” replied Dul Sanif stopped his sentence. He took a cup of coffee and drank it.

“Lantas, what happened?”

“It turns out you weren't there. I've given you our secret code many times before, but there's no word. Unfortunately, Yudha actually has his own plan,” story Dul Sanif explained.

“Plan to burn clove fields, you mean?”

“I didn't know that Yudha sent her other men. Apparently they were hiding among the trees to wait for the right time. In fact, they have also prepared the meech of the soil.”

Mat Yusi was furious to hear it. “You've seen for yourself how cunning Yudha is, but why would you still want to help her?”

“I don't know your problems during this place. Yudha's actions in the clove field earlier I will make it a consideration to be careful to deal with it,” said Dul Sanif.

Mat Yusi seemed to be thinking of something. For him, Yudha and Dul Sanif are both good at strategy. They currently have a relationship with each other. Who is the most dominant, that is what Mat Yusi is thinking right now.

He knew before Dul Sanif came, Yudha had tried many times to burn Jauhari's clove fields by sending his people. That effort always works he fails easily. However, that does not mean Dul Sanif does not play a role behind it all.

Even though Dul Sanif had told me a lot of everything from earlier, still Mat Yusi felt he had to be careful.

“Did you also have time to burn clove fields with the roof tiles?”

“Not at all. The Yudha temples did it all,” Dul Sanif defended himself.

Mat Yusi did not just believe it. “Why don't you prevent them? People like you must be able to do it,” Mat Yusi accused.

“Trust me, as much as I can try to prevent them. However, they still burned the huts and fields of Jauhari. They already intend to do it.”

“So you just watched it all happen without doing anything?”

Dul Sanif took a deep breath. He knew Mat Yusi was still doubtful about all the stories he had told.

“You can't believe it. What would you do if you were faced with two difficult choices. Choosing between life or clove fields?” Dul Sanif asked.

“Which one do you mean?” chase Mat Yusi.

“You think I enjoyed everything that happened there? No. gabe. I faced two difficult choices. Stop the roof tiles burning the fields or save the life of someone who came out of the hut,” said Dul Sanif.

Mat Yusi just understood the meaning of Dul Sanif's words. He immediately remembered something. “Patra you mean? Where is the boy now?”

“So the boy was named Patra? Am I as evil as Yudha if I choose to save the child?”

Mat Yusi was silent. Dul Sanif had just insinuated it and was trying to break all the doubts that were in Mat Yusi's mind.

“Alright, I believe. Tell me where the kid is now?”

Take it easy, he's safe. There were only a few burns on his body. Had I not been there, I believe the boy had been killed by Yudha's men. He did not stop fighting and his movements were quite agile.”

“Thanks for saving him,” Mat Yusi said. “Lantas where is he now?” he continued while observing the entire room to look for Patra.

 “What exactly do you want?”

“I can help you to get out of all the problems in this place. After that, I want you to help me to settle Yudha's affairs elsewhere. For the sake of our bright future,” said Dul Sanif told of a new business plan that will be run Yudha.

“Other place? What will he do?” ask Mat Yusi.

“I have followed Yudha many times to meet important people in Jakarta. All agreed to help Yudha to start a coal mining business."

 “What should I do?”

“We will talk later after all the problems here are done. I can pressure Yudha to leave this place. I think it's the best way out if you want the lives of the citizens no longer threatened.”

Dul Sanif's offer sounds lucrative to Mat Yusi. He wanted to help Jauhari to get rid of Yudha from this place.

“You are sure Yudha will leave this place?”

“The answer depends on your decision,” replied Dul Sanif lightly. “So how?”

“I still doubt Yudha will leave this place. He is very eager to control all clove fields owned by residents.”

“All that leave it to me. Yudha will not dare to fight if I ask,” Dul Sanif gives a guarantee.

"I hope your plan this time works, unlike at that time which finally makes us like this,” said Mat Yusi.

“Give me a chance once again to prove it,” pinta Dul Sanif lirih.

“Alright, I agree. However, if you intend to deceive me, then I'll make sure our relationship is over here. You're on Yudha's side, and I'm on Jauhari's side, we're done in a male way" Mat Yusi replied seriously.

" Let's see later. I'll see you after you've done your business."

"Well what about the booty you just asked?"

"I was just talking to make Yudha happy. If it's still intact, let's just say it's all yours," Dul Sanif's fishing rod is still curious about the fate of the treasure. Since then, Mat Yusi has not told him.

“I already intend to forget it and let it be buried forever in the ground,” replied Mat Yusi.

Dul Sanif was stunned to hear that. However, he did not want to know any further. It was enough for him to know Mat Yusi's earnestness to bury all of his past. “I expected it, and it's all up to you.”

Mat Yusi was relieved after Dul Sanif asked him to go home and hand over Patra.

Seeing that, Yudha immediately tried to prevent it. He ordered his men to besiege Mat Yusi.

From behind the bushes, under the trees there, Sabran was tense to witness the incident.

When Mat Yusi was getting ready to give a fight, Dul Sanif immediately came to mediate them.

"I asked him to come home. If you dare to touch it, then you are looking for trouble with me" cried Dul Sanif making Yudha forced to let Mat Yusi go.

"Remember, I'm not done with you. So don't be happy yet" threatened Yudha.

"You think I'm done? I think there's something more important for you to finish now" Mat Yusi gestured through his eyes to Dul Sanif.

Yudha looks upset because her plan did not end as expected. “Explain right now why did you release them?” yudha said in a loud voice
