Forever Young's
CHAPTER XIII Running Practices

The atmosphere in the school was very crowded as Nuna walked towards her class. He saw many students carrying his paintings to hand over to the committee today. Some of the paintings are small and some are so large that they require three people to carry them.

After Nuna put her bag on the chair, she exited the classroom and stood under a tree waiting for Rigel to come. Five minutes later Rigel appeared and approached her.

"Morning, Nuna," said Rigel with a big smile.

Nuna suspects there is a conspiracy behind her friendly attitude. But he kept replying, "Morning."

Rigel handed him his bag and the two walked side by side.

The first lesson today is sports. Nuna has replaced her batik uniform with a gym shirt from school. The design of the Liver School for students and schoolgirls is the same, namely knee-length shorts and short-sleeved shirts. But the girls modified their pants to be above the knee. They reasoned that it could accentuate her legs so that they look beautiful.

Upon learning of this from Joshua's mouth, Rigel chuckled. They will exercise and sweat, what is the point of looking beautiful? Rigel doesn't understand.

Rigel eventually sees Nuna walking onto the field, he discovers that Nuna has not changed anything on her gym pants. Rigel did not expect, the girl was quite conservative while in school. She still remembers Nuna's appearance at her family's banquet.

At that time Rigel tried to find out the perpetrator who kicked him, but he only saw the face of the perpetrator without knowing his identity so that his papa subordinates handed over the guest list of women and their photos. He then looked at Nuna's biodata and found a photo of the girl wearing a black dress with her shoulders open and had a design that accentuated her left leg. The dress made her look grown.

Rigel observes Nuna collecting her hair back one at a time and shreds it with a ponytail on her wrist.

"Rigel, the Nuna is in the arrow race, right?" joshua whispers standing beside Rigel making Rigel shift his focus on Joshua.

Rigel, Joshua, Bimo and Eagle were gathering on the sidelines.

The eagle that heard him immediately turned his head, "Eh? Nuna's following along too? Yesterday I didn't see Nuna raise her hand, did she register directly with the committee?"

Joshua shook his head, "Somewhat. Nuna hasn't listed. But Rigel says he can make Nuna join."

"Silent guys. I guarantee one hundred percent Nuna will come. Registration's still open, isn't it, Lang?"

"Yes, until 3pm."

"Good."

The whistle rang, all the students gathered in the middle of the field. Pram, Sports Teacher instructs them to organize a line. After seeing them lined up neatly, Pram began his lesson.

"Morning, children."

"Morning, Sir."

"As Master said last week, we will practice running today. The route as usual, from here, goes through the back of the library building, continues to your classroom building, then back here. The first five students will get 100, the next five 95, the next 90, 85, 80, and the rest 75. You understand?"

"Understand me, sir."

"Okay, warm up first."

The eagle as the class leader led his classmates to warm up. "Let's stretch your hands."

The students spread their hands.

"OK, now bow your head, and put two hands behind your head" the eagle gave an example of the movement and his friends followed. "Count start. One two three four five six seven eight."

After fifteen minutes had passed, the students had finished warming up. Pram asks them to prepare for running position. The whistle sounded and the practice began.

Joshua led in first place, Nuna in second, Bimo in seventh with Eagle behind him. Rigel is in the last position because he walks. Doctors temporarily banned him from running until the bruises on his legs recovered.

Joshua looked back, observing the position of his friends. He smiled proudly as he looked at the distance between him and them quite far away. Without paying attention to the road, Joshua's shoes hit the rock and he fell hard into the paving.

Joshua hissed and slowly sat down with his legs straightened, he saw both knees bleeding. A gust of wind blew on him, which turned out to be from Nuna running past him. Then his friends took turns to overtake him. They were just staring at Joshua.

Joshua got up and grimaced in pain while trying to run.

"Why you, Jo?" Bimo finally reached Joshua's place. His eyes were on Joshua's knees.

"Gue stumbling against the rock." Joshua pointed at the rock beside him.

"How come you can run?"

Joshua shook his head.

Bimo patted Joshua on the shoulder then crouched down in front of him. "Roving up."

Without hesitation, Joshua climbed onto Bimo's back. Bimo ran back with Joshua on his back. Only a quarter of the way, Bimo was exhausted and his breathing was a mess. He stopped and dropped Joshua.

The eagle that was behind them, ran over, "Here, I change." Joshua was carried by an eagle. They finally made it to the field.

Pram looked at them and said, "Helping a friend in trouble shows good teamwork. The teacher will add 2 points to each of you. You guys got 97."

After almost an hour, all the XI MIA I students had gathered in the field back. Pram also instructs them to march.

"Okay, the running practice has been done well. Teacher ends sports today. Don't forget to do the training in Chapter 6 later and collect before going home. Disperse, walk."

Rigel observes Nuna who has been wearing a batik uniform with her hair down. The girl was working on the assignment of a Sports Teacher.

"Gue saw the answer lo dong," Rigel said as he brought his head closer to read Nuna's answer.

Nuna stopped writing and turned to Rigel. "OKAY. Wait I'm done."

"okay." Rigel agreed but he remained in his position staring at Nuna's black eyes. "Gue wants you to join the archery race next week."

"I don't want to."

"Inget our deal?"

"Remember."

"So I asked you to run the race, and you have to."

A moment later, the two stared at each other.

Nuna turned her eyes, "Okay. I'll sign up later."

Rigel patted Nuna on the head. "Good."

Nuna brushed off Rigel's hand and said firmly, "Please keep your distance."

Rigel chuckled and sat on his stool without disturbing Nuna.

As promised, after the last class was over, Nuna went to the OSIS room.

"Hello, how can I help you?" tanya Wayan who is the Sports Week committee who is on guard this afternoon.

"I want to sign up for an archery race" replied Nuna.

"OKAY. Name and class?"

"Nuna Callista, XI grade MIA I."

There was a fleeting shock on the student's face. "Okay, I've written your name, the schedule can you see later on OSIS social media."

"good. Thank you." Thank you." Nuna left the room.

"Lo know him?" ask the students beside Wayan.

"Gue knew him, Nuna Callista who was the general champion last year. He was his son pendiem and never participated in school activities," explained Wayan.

The student covered his mouth with his hands, "Oh, I'd love to! He's the one who refused to go to the Olympics, right?"

Wayan. "That's it."

"Usually a child who is poor in academia, performance in sports is bad."

Wayan glanced at the girl beside him and smiled faintly. "Who knows."
