CHAPTER V Apology Rejected

Nuna was released from the hospital with relief. The matter had been resolved well and would not bother his grandfather.

Suddenly Nuna felt thirsty and found a cafe across the highway.

"Tanio, leave the car here. We'll walk to the cafe."

Tanio looked at the cafe, then found a fairly far crossing bridge, then he looked at the hot sun. "Miss, please get in the car. We'll find a detour."

Nuna was silent for a moment before getting into the car and going to the cafe. It took fifteen minutes to get there. Nuna took a seat by the window, while Tanio ordered food that fit his diet.

Nuna answered the phone call, "Hello, grandfather."

"Where are you?"

"I'm at the cafe" replied Nuna honestly.

"Why not go to school?"

Nuna observed the neighborhood of the cafe which was not conducive to talking personal things like this. "I'm going to Grandpa's house now. I'll explain in detail."

Phone terminated.

"Miss, take a look at this." Tanio showed photos uploaded by Indah to her social media. In the photo, Indah took a selfie of her smiling self holding a drink cup. But the focus of Tanio is the figure of Nonanya who is clearly seen sitting near the window drinking the milkshake he gave. "Miss, he must have been on purpose!"

"Leave it." Nuna did not think much. For her 15-year-old Lovely was not something she should be wary of. After finishing her drink, Nuna said to her assistant, "Let's go."

In the beautiful courtyard of the house, Suherman was feeding the chickens he kept. He stopped his activities when he found the arrival of his granddaughter.

Nuna looked at her smiling Grandfather's face. "Good, Grandpa."

His grandfather and grandson sat side by side, opposite Haykal Anderson and Jasmine who were Rigel's parents.

"We came here to apologize for causing your son to be hospitalized. This is my granddaughter's sincerity for Rigel's son." Suherman said with caution and pushed for the land certificate.

Haykal took the certificate and read it. After that he commented, "This land is in a strategic location and has a good future." He closed the certificate and pushed it back to Suherman. "But I refuse this compensation."

"Dear." Jasmine rubbed her husband's upper arm to calm him down.

"What does Mr Anderson mean?" Suherman had not expected Haykal to reject his sincerity. This land was one of hers that she valued the most because of its selling value.

"My son had injuries to his head, back, hands and feet. And you gave me this certificate. Do you think my son is worth this land? What if your beloved granddaughter experienced the same thing, Mr Suherman?" Haykal's words pierced Suherman's heart.

"Mr Haykal, please be careful with the words, you." Suherman stared intently at that Anderson Family Head. "We came here with good intentions."

"I appreciate your goodwill, but I reject your apology. I remember two months ago we signed a business agreement. I'll cancel it."

Suherman's face became ugly. If Haykal cancels the agreement, then his company will suffer losses of up to billions of rupiah. He could only accept that decision, knowing that there was no room for negotiation in this regard.

After exiting the Anderson Family home, Nuna looked at her grandfather with a guilty feeling.

Suherman rubbed his granddaughter's head and sighed, "It's okay. There's nothing to regret. In this way, this problem could be considered as being resolved. You just need to focus on your school."
