Galak Lecturer's Wife

Galak Lecturer's Wife
We're Friends

Abhimanyu arrived home with a mouth that did not stop grumbling. Apparently, the disturbance of people not only stopped in the mini market, but when he bought fried rice as well.

Some women residents of the complex also did not want to lose, they teased him— said that they did not expect there was a handsome man living in his neighborhood.

Actually not surprising, because every day Abhimanyu only be at home at night. If not to campus, Abhimanyu will go to his office.

The girls continued to tease him, as if it was a natural thing for them. That's what makes Abhimanyu uncomfortable.

Damn fuck!

Abhimanyu went inside the house, he walked towards Infiera's room after putting down his groceries and knocked on the door first. After getting the command from within, Abhimanyu entered. He looked at the woman who was still lying on the bed.

“You should eat first before taking the medicine. I put it on the dinner table.”

Fiera nodded. He tried to get up from his back slowly. His stomach had improved a little, could it be because his mood had improved, that was why his pain had also reduced?

All because of Abhimanyu's attitude that changed completely. Although unfortunate, his care must wait for Fiera to get sick first.

“Can you walk?” asked Abhimanyu, he slightly stretched out his hand, preparing to catch the woman's body if it fell back.

“Of course, I'm not paralyzed.” Perhaps due to the unstable hormones, Fiera gets upset just because of her husband's question, when the man means well.

Ck!

Abhimanyu. “Who knows you want me to carry again!” Abhimanyu grumbled in annoyance while insinuating, he stepped past Fiera and walked out of the room.

Fiera felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment. Apparently, Abhimanyu was worried that he would fall.

When entering the dining room, Fiera saw the fried rice that had been placed on the plate and also a glass of mineral water on his right and also a bottle of pain reliever herbal medicine on his left. His heart warmed just from seeing that.

“Eat, after that take your medicine,” said Abhimanyu, pull up a chair for Infiera.

Fiera simply nodded, her heart beating hard with Abhimanyu's unusual treatment.

“After completion, there are things I want to talk about.”

Fiera froze at Abhimanyu's next utterance, her feelings becoming misbehaved, but her face turned pale. Suddenly, bad thoughts filled his mind.

Did he want to talk about their fight last time?

Does Abhimanyu want to discuss Fiera's words asking to divorce her if Abhimanyu can no longer continue their marriage?

Why would Fiera be afraid to think about that? In fact, he said it out of anger at Abhimanyu's hurtful words.

“What's the problem?” abhimanyu asked as he looked at Fiera who was silent.

“Ah, it's okay.”

“Good.”

After saying that, Abhimanyu passed towards his room and let Infiera enjoy his food.

Half an hour passed, Abhimanyu was again seen descending to the first floor using his casual clothes—kaos in black and also training pants, approaching Fiera who had finished taking his medicine.

Fiera was getting nervous to see her husband walking over.

He did think, maybe his marriage someday could no longer be maintained because of Abhimanyu's never-changing attitude, but should it be this fast?

How did he explain it to his parents? How did Fira keep her promise to finish her studies?

“I want to talk to you.” Abhimanyu started the conversation after he sat down before him.

Fiera raised her face, looked at the man, waiting for what to say next.

“It's about our wedding.”

The deg!

Don't we?

Fiera felt her palm turn cold. He clenched his hands, bracing himself for whatever decision Abhimanyu gave. Maybe this is how it ends.

“We both know that this wedding we never expected. We do not know each other at all, even after one year of marriage, we still can not know each other,” said Abhimanyu.

It actually made Infiera more nervous and afraid, he lowered his head, preparing himself. The hands under the table were squeezing each other.

“Until any time, everything will never change if we do not know each other,” he continued. Fiera's getting less and less.

“I know you must hate me because I am always at will, and I too, yes, can't love you.” Abhimanyu said so not because he could not love Infiera, but because they did not know each other, how that love could grow if not try to grow it, through introductions.

Finally, Fiera got to the point where she resigned herself to what Abhimanyu was going to say next.

However, his guess was wrong.

“It seems, there is no harm if we are friends.”

Huh huh?

Fiera raised her face, looking back at the man before her. Whatdoes thatmean?

He wanted to rub his ears, so unsure of what Abhimanyu said. But, he also did not dare to ask and just looked at her.

“How? We can live it all as friends for now. How ahead, we will talk about it again later.”

It turned out that Abhimanyu really invited him to be friends. Fiera laughed at herself, sighing in relief as it turned out her fear was unreasonable.

When they were first married, Abhimanyu did not discuss the matter. Also after they moved to Jakarta. Abhimanyu only said that they would sleep in separate rooms because after all the two never wanted the marriage. Her thought.

“Yes, all because of a problem a few days ago. I was angry with your words, but after thinking about it again, it's true that our relationship never went well. I'm with my busyness, you're with your busyness. Worse, I always blame you when there is a little mistake at home, but never want to care.”

Fiera just silently listened to Abhimanyu's words.

“I know, you'll find it hard to love me as well as me. We can't have a marriage like that. That's why we can be friends. How?”

Fiera blinked a few times. He wanted to laugh out loud. Do you not know Abhimanyu if he ever thought to be a good wife? He even promised himself to thank the man for devoting his life as a wife because Abhimanyu had given him the opportunity to go to college.

However, instead of getting the same reply, Fiera had only been ignored for this one year and now, suddenly Abhimanyu offered her friendship.

How did the man know Infiera couldn't love him if he wasn't given the chance?

It is ridiculous, considering their relationship is husband and wife in religious law and also state law.

However, what Fiera said was precisely, “Alright.” A short answer that is a bit ambiguous. He just followed the game that Abhimanyu made.

Abhimanyu smiled faintly. Things that the man rarely did before. He extended his hand before Infiera. “Alright, from now on we are friends.”

Fiera looked at the outstretched hand before her, just for a moment, then she accepted it. “Ya,” he replied in a slow voice.

Fiera still did not understand Abhimanyu's decision, but she could not protest at all. Let everything go like that now.

***

The next day, Fiera felt her stomach had improved, and her head was no longer throbbing either. He was still lying on his bed. His conversation with Abhimanyu last night came back to mind. Fiera laughed offingly. ‘Friends? Just be right!’

The sound of falling objects was heard from outside the room. Fiera's forehead is wrinkled. He hurriedly got up and got out of bed to check what was happening.

Fiera stepped towards the kitchen, the frown on her forehead deepening. He looked at Abhimanyu who was in the kitchen, like he was cooking.

“You're up?” he asked, low voice, but much different from usual. That, sounds more friendly.

“Ya,” replied Fiera still confused. It's seven o'clock, but Abhimanyu is still at home. Usually the man had left the house since six in the morning.

“Fiera, can you dry the laundry? I washed it.”

Whahuh?

Fiera was shocked by Abhimanyu's words. What say? Washed up? When did the man wash? Ever since they lived in one house, the man had never touched the laundry.

“Why silence? Hurry up, after that we can have breakfast together. Don't you have class?”

Fiera was still in a daze, but she still turned around and stepped towards the back to take the laundry that Abhimanyu meant and sun it on the back.

“Did he buy Kira*ti more and drink it?” murmured Fiera thought unreasonable. “What do-not when he bought the medicine, he accident and concussion of the brain?” It's getting more unreasonable.

“Fiera, are you done?”

Fiera realized, she said, “A little more.” He hurriedly finished it and went back inside the house.

Apparently, Abhimanyu was done with his cooking. Fiera glanced, whatever she cooked, definitely not far from her healthy diet.

‘Oh, no salads and eggs. Thank goodness.’

“Quick, get ready, then breakfast soon.”

Fiera could only nod, she was still too shocked by Abhimanyu's drastically changed attitude at the moment. Fiera prepared because today there is still class.

Once out of the room, it turned out that Abhimanyu was also ready to leave. Fiera sat in front of the man and took the plate, ‘Tumben,’ she thought as she looked at the rice that was on the table.

“Can you drive a motorbike?” abhimanyu asked suddenly in between his breakfast.

“Can.”

“Do you have a SIM?”

Fiera shook her head slowly.

“How can you ride a motorbike, but not have a SIM?”

Fiera simply replied to Abhimanyu's question with a smile. In the past, he studied motorcycles with his brother who had a catering business. He helps to deliver orders to customers. His father does have a motorbike, but only a motorbike that has been butot that his father used to go to the garden to farm.

“We can't go to campus together. I'll buy you a motorbike, but before that you have to take care of the SIM first.”

“Eh? No, there's no need. I can take an angkot to go to campus.”

Taking care of that SIM, right, costs money. Fiera has no savings at the moment.

“Why? You don't like it? You want to use the car?”

Fiera surprised. “Not that. I can't drive a car. It's just, it doesn't need.”

“No. It's all decided, tomorrow I'll take care of everything. You take care of the SIM creation.”

Abhimanyu finished his breakfast, he got up from his seat and stepped towards the living room sofa to pick up the bag already placed there.

After Abhimanyu's departure, Fiera dropped her head on the table. He muttered. “It looks like Abhimanyu is really a concussion of the brain,” he muttered. Only his attitude had changed, but he still did his best without even discussing it with himself.
