CHAPTER 56.Sad and happy memories twenty years ago
**Hartono Restaurant***
Thomas looks at the date shown in the photo, May 5, 2001.
Not wrong, the daughter in the photo is Rossy when she was two years old. May 5th is Rossy's birthday.
Rossy's birthday coincides with the day Rossy's mother Isabella died.
Isabella died while giving birth to Rossy in the maternity hospital. Every year celebrating Rossy's birthday, Thomas will take her to Hartono Restaurant to relive Isabella's fond memories there.
The interior design, layout of the chairs, and dining table, especially the kitchen of Hartono Restaurant and so on in Hartono Restaurant are all arranged by Isabella when she was alive.
Thomas wants Rossy to get to know her up close and feel her birth mother's presence through these little things.
Rossy would be at Hartono Restaurant all day and many of Thomas' employees could help him keep an eye on and look after Rossy.
At night when returning home to Hartono, they will celebrate Rossy's birthday with Wulan Sari and Violet.
The tradition of photographing customers inside the Hartono Restaurant and pasting polaroid photos in the corner of the restaurant wall was the idea of Isabella.
"Rossy?" tanya Agung who heard Thomas mention Rossy's name when he saw the photo on his phone screen.
"Yes the Great Lord. The girl in this picture is Rossy, my daughter."
Thomas shows a girl in two braids on a mobile phone screen to Agung.
Agung tried to remember things related to Rossy.
"Oh yes. Eva once told me that while they were at Hartono Restaurant, a cute and beautiful daughter gave her a piece of cake and called her mama. Eva is very happy because she and Satria are planning to have a second child. Eva hugged and held the girl. Jackson was not happy his mother was captured so he judged her. Look at the noses of the two of them being hit by the cream cake" Agung said with a smile.
Agung still remembers as a child Jackson was a cheerful child before the kidnapping incident.
Thomas' heart ached after hearing the words of Great Vijaya. Thomas began to recall the events of the day.
Little Rossy ran into the kitchen and asked her to cut off a piece of birthday cake.
Thomas, who is busy in the kitchen, does not know if Rossy gives the cake to Eva and calls her mama.
Probably because every time Thomas took Rossy to Hartono's restaurant and told him about everything about Isabella that Rossy thought he would meet his real mother at Hartono Restaurant.
Little Rossy asks Thomas to take her again to Hartono Restaurant two days later on the grounds that he will meet his handsome mother and sister there.
Thomas thought it was all a child's hallucination and took little Rossy to Hartono's restaurant. Rossy waited all day and finally cried and complained to Thomas that his mother had not come.
Since that day Rossy never asked Thomas to take him to the Hartono Restaurant again unless it was his birthday, Thomas would still take Rossy to the Hartono Restaurant and Rossy did not refuse.
Now Thomas finds out that Eva and her family have promised Rossy they will come to Hartono's restaurant two days later and they cannot keep their promise because of the tragic accident.
"The world is very small. I didn't expect the girl to be your daughter" said Agung.
"Yes, Great Lord" replied Thomas.
"Thank you for listening to this story from an old man like me. I feel even more relieved now," said Agung.
"Together the Great Lord. The Great Lord can take a photo of the polaroid for a memento" Thomas said.
"It's okay Thomas. I was so happy to take that photo with my phone. The original photo is better to stay where it was. Their beautiful memories in this restaurant will stay awake forever" Agung said.
"All right, great lord" said Thomas.
After Agung left the Hartono restaurant, Thomas asked his employees to take out all the polaroid photos stored in the warehouse and stick them in the corner of the restaurant wall.
The polaroid photos were of customers at the Hartono branch. Thomas took the photos before selling his restaurant branch five years ago.
Since Rossy left Bali five years ago, the tradition of photographing customers at the Hartono restaurant has not continued. Because of the conversation with Agung earlier, Thomas decided to reuse the tradition of photographing customers at Hartono Restaurant now.
From the photos Thomas recognized photos of some old customers who were still loyal to visit his Hartono restaurant. Thomas was moved.
As his eyes stared at the same photo he saw on the screen of the Great's mobile phone, Thomas could not hold back his emotions.
Thomas's hand shook touching the girl's face in the photo.
"Rossy. How are you doing now? I miss you so much" said Thomas.
***Mansion Wijaya***
Rossy serves some of the dishes that have been finished in his cooking on the dining table.
Rossy plans to deliver dinner to Kelvin after finishing serving his cooking.
Mr. Lesmana can help him take care of dinner for Felix later.
"Well! It's very fragrant." Felix's cheerful and loud voice went into Rossy's ears serving his cooking.
Rossy sees Felix pushing Jackson in a wheelchair towards him.
From a distance Felix has smelled the fragrant Rossy cuisine so can not wait to see what dishes are presented on the dining table.
Felix dashed lightning-fast toward the dining table leaving Jackson.
Felix was not aware of his rapid movements accidentally pushed the wheelchair that Jackson was sitting in so that the wheelchair was speeding forward.
Jackson, who was sitting in a wheelchair, was shocked and did not have time to stop the wheelchair.
Rossy saw clearly the incident immediately ran towards Jackson to stop him.
Rossy held back the pace of the wheelchair with her legs all her might. The wheelchair finally stopped. Because of his sudden resistance, Jackson's body will fall forward.
Jackson had already closed his eyes and resigned himself to the body and his face would touch the floor soon.
"Oh No! Mr. Jackson can't be hurt anymore" Rossy cried.
"Aah!" rossy shouted while trying to use his body to hold Jackson's body and both hands tightly embrace Jackson.
Felix who was busy picking up the sweet-sour fish meat and putting it in his mouth was surprised by Rossy's scream and turned his body around.
Felix almost choked on the sweet-sour fish in his mouth when he saw Jackson and Rossy hugging.
"Mr Jackson" cried Mr. Lesmana as he ran into the dining room after hearing Rossy's scream.
