Chapter 16 - Towards Military Headquarters

Takashi is about to approach the teapot. But Yuki stopped his movement.

"Let me. I also want to make tea for myself," Yuki said.

Takashi smiles. He immediately sat down to the chair that was on the dining table.

Shortly after, Yuki came to bring tea. He made two cups of tea. One for Takashi, the other for himself.

"Arigato Gozaimashita," said Takashi who responded to Yuki with a knotty smile. Until the girl's eyes look squinted. He then sipped tea with Takashi.

The atmosphere of silence enveloped. Takashi and Yuki choose to spend their tea to warm up.

The rain outside is starting to fade. But the cold still feels. It felt even colder than before.

"Didn't the weather feel colder" Takashi chirped as he folded two hands to the front of his chest.

"I feel that way too" Yuki said.

"How about we just light the fireplace." Takashi standing. He and Yuki immediately light the fireplace in the house.

Takashi lit the fire with the lighters he always carried. He and Yuki can easily light a fireplace. After that, they sat side by side facing the fireplace. Rubbing your palms repeatedly to feel warmer.

While exhaling from the mouth, Takashi and Yuki let out a puff of carbon dioxide. Indicates that the weather is very cold.

"I told you. You should've used this for yourself." Takashi took off the scarf from the neck. Then attach it to Yuki's neck

"Takashi, I said this-"

"You just wear it. I'm wearing a jacket anyway." Takashi. She smiled as she tightened the jacket she was wearing.

"Thank you." Yuki smiled back. He who got carried away, floated a kiss on Takashi's cheek. It made Takashi's face flushed in embarrassment. The man was reflexively holding his cheek.

"By the way, you've kissed me twice on the cheek." said Takashi. Dare not look at Yuki.

"Take that as my gratitude. Because right now, money seems to be worthless anymore," Yuki said.

"Please stop doing that all of a sudden. You made me hang" Takashi said.

"All right." Yuki nodded while chuckling.

The night is getting late. Takashi and Yuki are attacked by sleepiness. Slowly both fell asleep. Yuki seemed to be leaning his head against Takashi's shoulders. While Takashi himself leaned to Yuki's head perched on the shoulder.

The sun appears to emerge from the eastern horizon. Sakura and Nana wake up together. The two of them immediately came out of the room. They certainly see the togetherness of Takashi and Yuki who look fun to sleep with each other.

"Yuki quietly swept away. He took advantage of the opportunity when we slept" Nana said. He was envious to see Yuki get close to Takashi.

"Let's wake them up" Sakura asked. He also seems to be annoyed at Takashi and Yuki's closeness.

"Ekhem!" Sakura deliberately cleared her throat loudly. He did it a few times. Takashi and Yuki wake up from sleep. They opened their eyes and realized that it was noon.

"Yuki, you must have slept really well last night" Sakura said cynically.

"Takashi and I can't sleep. We lit the fireplace until we accidentally fell asleep" Yuki explained.

"That's it. Let's get ready! We have to do another search" Takashi said. He did not want to see any more fights between the girls. Moreover, they always fight because of trivial problems.

Takashi and the girls leave the rest house. Now they walk the streets carefully.

Takashi's steps stopped because he suddenly thought of something. "I think we should find a destination first" he said, turning to face the three girls behind.

"I heard that there are a lot of men in the military headquarters! I think we should check in there," Takashi continued.

"Good idea. There may be survivors still there." Sakura agrees with Takashi's proposal. So did Nana and Yuki. They then began the journey to the military headquarters located in the western end of Tokyo.
