The Patient who is Raging
Amelia put on the table all the ingredients to concoct the medicine. Amelia glanced at Andressa who was busy struggling with her medical devices. Amelia decided not to reprimand Andressa. Now he immediately moved to clean the main ingredients of compounding the drug.
"Oh, Amelia. Did you get everything?" Andressa realizes Amelia's arrival.
"Already, Miss. I'll clean it up soon. So, you'll just have to mix it up."
Andressa pulled out while the medical devices were on her hands. He stood up from his seat and moved closer to Amelia.
"Let me continue. Now you go check on the condition of the patients who were affected by the burns. See how the reaction of the topical medicine that I previously formulated. The drug should now start to react and show signs of recovery" Andressa said.
"Okay, then I'll excuse you."
A few minutes later, Andressa was startled by a noise from the ground floor. He also heard someone yelling at the doctors. Quickly he moved down the stairs to the source of the sound.
"I don't want to be treated here! Unhand me! Let me go! Don't try to hold me back!"
A man who was still in the healing period suddenly regained consciousness after being in a coma for three days. He went on a rampage and injured some of the assistant healers. Plus all the objects that were nearby were thrown towards other patients and people who were around.
"What's wrong? Why would he go crazy like this?!"
Andressa hurriedly mediated the commotion. He asked a physician first to confirm the situation.
"Miss, we don't know anything. As soon as he regained consciousness, he went berserk asking to be removed from the ward. He had just woken up from a coma, but he was acting strange" the healer explained.
Some people immediately restrained the man's movements. They pressed hard so that the big man would stop his assault.
Andressa swiftly stuck a syringe into the man's body. However, strangely, he did not calm down and went on a rampage.
"Damn! What the hell is going on? Why doesn't this tranquilizer work on him?" Andressa began to be confused. "Please increase the dose!" Andressa decisively asked a female healer nearby to provide a high dose of tranquilizer.
After the sixth injection, the man was finally paralyzed. He also became calmer and unconscious.
"There seems to be something strange about that patient" said Amelia.
Andressa glanced at Amelia. Amelia had noticed the patient. He suspected that there might be things they did not realize and then made the man act strangely after waking up from a coma.
"I think so too. Please help me do the check. Then if any of you get hurt, treat it immediately."
Andressa and Amelia carefully examined the body of the man lying on the nursing bed.
"Nothing strange. Everything's normal." Both Andressa's eyes suddenly widened while staring at the infusion liquid. "Amelian! Lower the infusion and replace it with a new one! Hurry along!"
Amelia hurriedly plucked out the infusion liquid and replaced it with a new one. He handed the infusion to Andressa.
"Rightly true, what makes this patient go berserk is the infusion fluid. Who replaced this infusion liquid earlier?"
