"Want to go to the cinema? The idea is even here" said I once finished applying a little lipstick and make sure my face beautiful plenary without blame from the mirror reflection.
"It's cooler than the movie theater" he said.
"Who wouldn't want to watch a tancep screen, right?" my forehead is wrinkled. Yes, time and beautiful storm gini taught to watch the screen tancep.
"If only tancep mah screen I make my own at home. Keep watching both while the playful even more bitter. Why go all the way here?" the Mamas.
"Continue?"
"Let's see it in Dalem. It must be exciting" my hand was held by Mas husband to the row of spectators who circular in front of the stage.
"So he said to go dark? This is a lot of lights" I grumbled as soon as I arrived at the seat number according to the ticket Kendra held.
"Later if the turret has started it is also killed by lights on the spectator bench. Stay the stage lights are on" refuted Mas husband saw my face that began to bete again.
"Means can while ahem ahem dong" I cry.
Yaaaah.my lips are back manyun with face bent. Tau gini went to the cinema.
If Bali has a kecak dance that attracts many attention tourists, Yogyakarta has Ramayana ballet staged in front of the most beautiful Hindu temple in Southeast Asia every night of the full moon. The performance is a combination of dance, gamelan music and drama without dialogue. The story is staged from Serat Rama, a composition of one of the leading writers of the Ancient Mataram dynasty.
This colossal drama tells the story of a husband, Rama, to reclaim his wife, Shinta, who was kidnapped by Ravana. The show opened with the extinguishment of all the lighting until only the silhouette of Prambanan Temple is splashed with golden light from the full moon. Incredibly, I felt thrown far past the dimension of time back to the era where Hindu and Buddhist influences coalesced with the indigenous culture of the archipelago. So beautiful and amazing.
Little by little, glowing light illuminates the stage, accompanied by Javanese music and sinden singing that adds to the atmosphere. Then, enter eight male dancers who escort seven female dancers with offerings in their hands. Sacred and sacred shades envelop the show once the offerings are placed near the gamelan. Then came the main actors, Rama and Sinta, who performed the dance so romatis. Just a dance move but able to bring out the aura of two lovers who are so in love with each other, making me sink into the grooves of their movement.
Not feeling, throughout the show, my body docked to Kendra. My head rested on his chest while the man's arm held me from behind. We are both lulled into every scene that is staged in front of there. I don't know what magical power attracts us to drown and get immersed in the square syahdu atmosphere.
The scene alternates with the cheers of the dancers performing the fire attraction. The stage seems to be burned with tempestuous spirit, replacing the romantic nuances and shahdu into an energetic bang that shoots, driving away drowsiness and boredom. Scene after scene changed, joy was replaced by nestapa, not realizing I was getting late in the ups and downs of the story.
