Hugging Longs
Chapters. 19
“Come, sana.” Oma Widya pushes Arga slowly, asking her to approach Sara who is helping Darmi prepare dinner.
Arga hesitated, still not daring to approach. Especially if you have to invite Sara to chat together. Honestly, he does not have a topic that can be used as chat material.
“Come, there, Arga. This time alone must be Oma who intervenes.” Oma kept urging Arga. Because he thinks everything should be clear. Before going to a more serious level, at least Arga and Sara really already know each other. Nothing else is covered up.
Arga scratched his head. “But, Oma.” He still doubts. He is not an accomplished seducer, who always has interesting topics to discuss. Instead of talking, the edges even seduce. He is the type who is realistic, as it is, not good at seducing, likes to follow the heart, but also jealous. That is even if he has really anchored his heart to his choices.
“Ah, suck you.” Oma shook her hands, then stepped over to Sara who was busy in the kitchen.
“What are you cooking, Sara? It smells so good,” Oma said in praise. While sniffing the aroma of curry that was stirred Sara.
“Cari chicken, Oma. Said Bi Darmi, Oma likes curry the most.”
“Yes, but you don't need this serepot. There is Darmi. Why you should be tired.”
“It's okay, Oma. I'm glad I could make something for Oma. Think of this as an expression of my gratitude to Oma.”
“Ya. Now, you leave this. Let Darmi continue. You come with Oma for a minute. Come.” Grabbing Sara's wrist, Oma then takes Sara to the backyard, near the pool. Where Arga was waiting, sitting alone nailing a glance at the pool.
“Oma, sorry, there's something I have to tell Oma. I've never told you this before. I think maybe Oma should have known about me,” Sara said when Oma Widya stopped her steps at the place where Arga was sitting.
Sara's little heart said that Arga may have told her about the truth about herself to Oma Widya. And it's possible that Oma got angry when she found out about her true self.
“Not that I meant cover-up, Oma. It's just me_”
“Oma already knows. Arga told Oma. You want to know what Oma's response is about your past?” Oma interrupted Sara's words, raising both eyebrows to convince Sara. So that Sara does not feel uncomfortable and guilty for hiding her status as a widow.
“For Oma, whoever you are, whatever your past may be, will in no way affect Oma's judgment of you. Everyone has a past, Sara. No exception you,” continued Oma Widya. Then grab Sara's fingers into his grasp.
Arga woke up from his seat. Keep both hands in your pockets, while looking at Sara. Look at Sara's guilty face, which looks a little apprehensive.
“You know why Oma brought you here?” ask Oma Widya while smiling.
Sara nodded slowly.
“Actually Arga wants to talk to you. But he's too shy to call you here.”
Arga was wrong for a moment as Sara turned to look at him. Which automatically brings the gaze of the two accidentally. Rubbing her nape, wetting her lips, Arga smiled. Justifying what Oma Widya said.
“You're.” Oma patted Arga's arm.
“Other times own effort dong,” he continued with a small laugh.
“Ya. Oma stay first huh? But don't forget, don't talk for long. We'll have dinner soon. As if there is still something you are talking about, it will continue again after dinner. Yea? Oma into first.” Shaking his head, Oma then rushed back into the house. Leaving Arga and Sara in awkwardness.
“Ehem, ahem.” Arga cleared his throat for a while, expelling the awkwardness that made the atmosphere feel stiff. Previously Oma continued to urge him, convincing him not to look at the status inherent in Sara. Because the most important thing is Sara's own personality.
“Please sit,” says Arga, while taking a seat first. Y g was followed by Sara. Sit in the chair next to him.
“Sorry I told you about Oma. You may not want Oma to know about_”
“It's okay. Indeed Oma should know about me.” Sara interrupted. Makes Arga nod in understanding.
Arga let out a long sigh, then exhaled slowly to cultivate courage in him. Not wanting to be hypocritical, despite the title that Sara currently holds, honestly still did not undo his intention to get to know Sara more closely.
Sara's personality that seemed a little closed off made Arga curious. Sometimes when noticed, Sara seemed to be hiding her sadness behind the smile that always appeared. Let alone him, even to Oma alone, Sara rarely recounted her grief.
Maybe there's something else Sara's hiding?
“Oh yes, about my question earlier. Actually I still expect your answer,” said Arga.
“What you are not ashamed of with_”
“For what shame. I don't mind your status. As Oma said, everyone has a past.” Arga interrupted Sara's words quickly. As if he had been convinced of his own decision.
Sara who heard it was shocked. Then he turned his head, looking at Arga who actually broke down a smile. Sara just did not understand, I don't know what prompted Oma Widya to make a match with Arga. I don't know what makes Arga Tek see the flaws in him. Really he just felt unworthy to be close to a man like Arga.
....
Plopping her butt on the edge of the bed, Sara recalls her chat with Arga moments ago before they left for dinner.
He just lacks faith with the earnestness of Arga. Not wanting to cover up Sara finally told her past to Arga. How he and Danny got married, until things separated them.
Arga looked beautiful at the time. But it doesn't give him confidence. The reason is, maybe a man like Arga is interested in him. Which has many shortcomings from any side.
Telling his past to Arga, makes him think of Danny. He really misses that guy. He misses his promise, his carousel, his ugliness, how he misses the hassle of serving all the wishes of Danny.
But his heart was like a thorn when he remembered what Danny had done to him. Danny's hatred makes him have to bury deep in that longing.
Exhaling a long breath, he was about to lay down on that bed when suddenly his phone rang. Urung lay down, he then grabbed the phone on the nightstand. Shifting the green button, he then said.
“What's up, Bi? Why did Auntie call me these nights?”
“Emm ... Non ... Sorry if Aunt interfered. Aunty just wanted to ask.” Bi Minah said on the other end of the phone.
“What's Bi?”
“Abibi can meet Non Sara for a moment. Anyone want Aunt cincin.”
“But it's night, Bi. If there's anything you want to talk to me about, just talk to Bi now. I'll listen.”
“Can't, Non. Auntie wants to talk about it in person. Can ya Non, we meet?”
“Alright, Bi.”
In another place, at the same time.
Danny gave a faint smile on the other side, when Bi Minah managed to ask Sara to meet. There is relief in the chest, also can't wait for tomorrow.
