Chapter 34: Using The Demons Powers Has a Price

[Zoth's Manor]

As Kaido walked down the long hallway, Rundel himself was waiting for Kaido to step inside his office space, sit in his comfortable chair and observe the door for any changes.

As Kaido stood dripping blood from his hands and his clothes were tattered so he almost looked like a serial killer

When he opened the door, Rundel remained calm and composed and he greeted Kaido

"Your Kaido, I guess! I didn't get your name last time but now I already know a little bit about you" Rundel said

Seeing her calm demeanor, Kaido looked at her sharply and sat on the chair with his legs crossed and facing her

"So, you know about me? How much do you really know?" Ask Kaido

Seeing this Rundel found something that made him start laughing, the way Kaido acted in the midst of a serious crisis looked like a person who was already stained by darkness, a being that was not afraid of anything.

As she takes a closer look, Kaido really does not resemble someone who will save the day, but rather resembles a person who works in the dark and has the ability to bring chaos to the world.

"You are quite interesting, I said ... That hero hates non-human citizens in the empire while you somehow like saving them! What's your purpose in doing this? Power? The money? The fame?" Pointing Rundel

With this Kaido laughed

"Man! Why should they limit themselves to these satisfying needs? I accepted them because I knew that one day I could benefit from them ... I wouldn't even save them if I thought they were useless! By saving them, I gain their loyalty! " The word Kaido

"Gee! The loyalty! One of the reasons why most of the kingdoms in the past fell ... From loyalty comes betrayal ... What would you do if someone betrayed you?" Ask Rundel

With this Kaido grinned

"That's easy! Dump them! I'm useless to an ungrateful dog! They may rebel as they please but in the face of actual strength they are nothing" Kaido said

"So, you want to rule by using fear?" Ask Rundel

"If possible, I want to avoid that!" Answer Kaido

With that answer Rundel asserted that Kaido was completely different

"I know it's different with you, you're not like a self-addicted human hero. Justice or a rather powerful but perverted beastmens hero or even an elf hero whose attitude is more childish who thinks this is a game ... You are calmer like an adult and you are included in the darkness unlike the heroes who bask in the limelight" Rundel said

After hearing two more additional heroes Kaido felt stressed, imagining him handling one hero alone was already troublesome but now there were two more additions.

"Are these heroes called by God?" Ask Kaido

“Not one god!… We have a balanced Lord Serefina, Lord Lord Rabdul of development and life, God of Pride, God of Fertility, God of Darkness, and finally God Revifol the God who governs the gods" Rundel said

Kaido knows Serefina after all he calls her also Revifol because she helps serefina but for other gods like Rabdul and others who have no name she feels something is wrong

As he wondered, this Rundel took out a bottle of red potion and opened it

"Are you not going to stop me?" Ask Rundel

"Why?" Answer Kaido

"Because I will drink this demon blood," said Rundel indifferently

"So it's demon blood! If you think you can kill me using that then please try! But I told you that I'm not that easy to kill" Kaido said

With this Rundel laughed

As Rundel drank the demon blood potion, veins appeared on his skin and his entire body turned red as well as the protruding horns on his head made him more like a demon.

The moment his transformation ended, he released a powerful aura that shattered all nearby furniture

As Kaido stood up, he grinned

"You're a fool for letting me drink it freely so let me repay you"

At some point Rundel appeared in front of Kaido and slammed his hand towards him so Kaido hit the wall.

"Geez!" Reacts Kaido

When Rundel took his sword, he immediately thrust it into Kaido

Seeing this Kaido erected a psychic barrier around him and caught the sword in his blade

Due to the demonic energy that enveloped the sword, Kaido's hand started dripping blood from it

"Yeahhhh!" Shouted Kaido

With this Kaido kicked Rundel so hard that Rundel fell back into his office

With this opportunity Kaido generated intense heat from his palm and shot it at Rundel which made the entire second floor of the manor explode.

With this explosion bothering the citizens of the city it also attracted the attention of Rebecca and Melfina

On the bloody first floor, the ceiling above him exploded making Kaido and Rundel fall

As Kaido tried to stand up, Rundel grabbed Kaido's ankle and slammed him to the ground six times before throwing him to the floor.

"Uhhhh" erang Kaido

With each step, Rundel's aura became heavier and when Kaido was already in front of him, Kaido smiled

"Finally!" He exclaimed

With that he defeated Rundel with psychic energy surrounding his fist making a huge shockwave and sending Rundel flying back to the second floor and falling to the ceiling.

With a flash of kaido all the blood around him became needles and shot into Rundel

With each pinprick carrying a hole in Rundel's body made him scream in pain

In addition, Kaido changed the shape of the ceiling on the second floor into a nail and attacked Rundel

As the spikes approached him from all directions Rundel spun around to destroy everything around him, after that he landed on the first floor and punched Kaido whom he blocked with his arm but sent him across the room tripping.

When Kaido wakes up, Rundel sends a shock wave to attack Kaido, blowing him out of his residence and crashing into the gate.

With the pain from the clash of Kaido's body permission, he himself gritted his teeth and stood up while Rundel himself walked out of the Manor while releasing a demonic aura.

Seeing such a formidable enemy, Kaido smiled happily while muttering

"All right! My turn!"
