Validation of this statue is actually faster than verifying the painting. Krzyzewski took comprehensive photographs of the statue and sent it back to the company. He also took a small sample of copper foam and tested it using carbon-14 testing that he had brought with him.
The machine determined that the statue dates from the mid-16th century. After seeing the results, Krzyzewski confidently said, "Congratulations, sir, you may have the most precious statue of the year!"
In fact, due to the incident with the fake painting "Sunflowers", Shane Casson was mentally prepared that these paintings might not be worth much. Even if this Picasso painting turned out to be fake, he could deal with it with a calm demeanor.
However, after receiving this result, he could no longer remain calm: the statue he thought was only worth a few hundred dollars as scrap copper, was actually an antique worth 30 million CAD!
Upon hearing Shane Casson's thoughts, Krzyzewski's serious face turned into a smile. He said, "If this 'Perseus and Medusa' statue does not rust due to lack of care, its value could be raised by another ten million. You may not know this, but this statue is one of the greatest works of Mr. Cellini, one of the most famous 16th-century sculptors in Italy!"
Shane Casson actually didn't quite understand these things; all he understood was that he suddenly became a rich man...
The assessment was done, but Krzyzewski and his team did not leave. Manager Lee's Auction House and experts from the sculpture department were scheduled to arrive at the fishing village the next day to make a final determination as to the authenticity of the statue.
In addition, Krzyzewski told Shane Casson that his company hoped to work with him to acquire auction rights for the statues and paintings.
Shane Casson hesitated a little. Although Lee's Auction House had a certain reputation, it was actually more famous for its mechanical auctions. When it comes to antiques and art, Sotheby's or even Sotherby's are more reliable.
Krzyzewski is not a salesman. He sees Shane's dilemma and does not push the issue further, instead choosing to chat about the paintings and sculptures.
Based on Krzyzewski's speculation, the painting "Woman with Tambourine" was probably purchased by Pinajian through a friend from Picasso specifically for study purposes. At one point, Pinajian's ability to paint abstracts grew rapidly, perhaps due to the inspiration derived from Picasso's original work.
Krzyzewski was curious where Shane Casson got the statue.
Shane Casson attributed the origin of the items to his mysterious and highly impressive Great-Uncle, and Auerbach confirmed that, "Hendery Casson was an extraordinary man. During World War II, he was in charge of Allied naval transport in the Newfoundland area. I think that's how he obtained these items at that time."
Shane Casson was shocked. He had no idea that his Great Uncle had such a famous reputation.
That night, Shane Casson invited Krzyzewski and his two friends to dinner at Hickman's Flavor's Old Man Restaurant. They enjoy authentic Newfoundland dishes and taste the world-famous ice wine from the area.
The underwater world was still a bit quiet, and his consciousness wandered on the flat sandbed of the sea, with no signs of life for a long time, leaving him with a feeling of sadness.
What caused the once prosperous fishing grounds to become the underwater cemeteries they are today? Shane Casson vows that he will use the money earned from the auction to repair the fish and revive it.
His consciousness turned to a pink coral, and the sponge cup slowly swung around him. He checked and made sure that the sponge cup was in good condition which eventually made Shane Casson feel relieved.
However, after examining the coral more closely, he realized that the situation did not look okay. Yesterday he had not noticed this, but the condition of coral polyps even worsened!
Now, the only coral living around the area is only five or six square meters, half of which is pink and the other half light yellow. In addition, there are also corals around it, but all of them are grayish-white corals.
All of these corals are formed from the aggregation of coral polyp bodies.
The color and body of the coral slowly fade as it moves towards the edge of this rock. Although the coral polyps in the center look vibrant and full of life, the corals on the edges look to begin to decay.
Given his experience saving sponge cups, Shane Casson focused on corals and used the energy contained in his consciousness to care for the life of the coral.
Miraculously, over time, the corals begin to flourish luxuriously. As is well known, corals take many years to form, because coral polyps are small and although they continue to reproduce, they also continue to die.
However, at this time, the pale pink and yellow coral polyps suddenly started to reproduce quickly. Coral reefs are expanding at an incredible speed, spreading to an area of about ten square meters in just two minutes.
Shane Casson was very tired and pulled his consciousness, sleeping deep in sleep.
For the last two days, Shane Casson woke up at exactly 6 a.m. However, this time he fell asleep until after 8 a.m.
Feeling exhausted like he had never felt before, Shane Casson realized that he could not carelessly use his consciousness energy, or that his life would be threatened.
