I Inherited Fishing Bins in Canada
Episode 7's

The next morning, Auerbach's old and serious face appeared.

Auerbach's home town was Gander, and he retired and returned to live in the small town. However, if the people around him needed legal help, he would give it away for free, so that everyone who knew him respected him.

In North America, attorney fees are very high, and ordinary people cannot afford them. The kind of talk in a Hollywood movie where people say, "I won't talk until my lawyer arrives" is nonsense.

Shane Casson took out the paintings at the same time. Auerbach had clearly set himself up and opened his laptop, which contained a series of Van Gogh paintings, including the high resolution of eleven surviving "Sunflowers" paintings.

"Auerbach asked, "Where did you find these paintings?" when he looked at it.

Shane Casson pointed up the attic and said, "In the attic of my family's old house. We have a habit of keeping treasures in the attic, so I thought yesterday, could it be that my Great Uncle left something in the attic? Luckily, I found these paintings."

After seeing some landscape sketches, Auerbach nodded and said, "Master Pinajian is a great painter with excellent skills. Although I haven't heard much about his name, I think he must be a great artist."

Shane Casson did not want to discuss the author's identity with him. He opened the painting "Sunflowers" carefully and gave it to Auerbach, who pushed his laptop towards him and said, "You can see for yourself."

With those words, Auerbach continued to submerge his head in Pinajian paintings, carefully examining them one by one.

Shane Casson scrolled through the high-resolution photos of "Sunflowers," and after seeing them for only a few seconds, he suddenly became sad. One of the photos was exactly the same as the painting he held in his hand. Next to the photo is a note saying that the painting was discovered in 1900 and is now housed in the British Museum.

"Oh my God, there's no way, is my painting fake?" shane Casson said with a sad feeling.

In an instant, the excitement and hope that Shane Casson felt throughout the night disappeared like snow being exposed to the sun.

Shane Casson threw the painting at Auerbach, who dodged it and caught it carefully. Auerbach then warned him, "Be careful, son. If you ruin this painting, I'm sure you'll regret it and want to kill yourself today!"

Shane Casson replied with some energy, "All the paintings are Pinajian's. What could be worth of him?"

Auerbach laughed and shook his head, saying, "No, young man, this one is precious!"

Shane Casson was surprised, he had seen all thirty paintings of the unknown artist yesterday. But he knew Auerbach was a calm person and would not act without reason, so he bowed to take a closer look.

The painting held by Auerbach was about one meter long and half a meter wide. Shane Casson could not fully understand what was depicted, as only a series of lines showed the shape of a woman. At the top of the paper is a short caption: Femme-au-tambourin.

After seeing this painting, Shane Casson was reminded of an abstract painting that he could not understand. There are four or five of them in this collection, which he says has absolutely no aesthetic appeal. He glanced at them indifferently and threw them aside.

Auerbach smiled slightly and pointed at the lower-right row of lower-letters, saying, "If this name is real, then this painting should be worth a lot of money."

Shane Casson was skeptical and looked to the bottom right corner of the painting. There were hundreds of long strings of letters, and he was surprised, "Oh my goodness, did you say that these letters were someone's name? Is he African? The co-star of the NBA, Dikembe Mutombo?"

Auerbach shook his head and slowly stroked the paper, saying, "This is in Spanish. The name of the painting is 'Female with Tamburin', and the letter below is indeed the name of a person. His name is: Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santisima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruiz y Picasso!"

When Shane Casson heard the last word, he couldn't hold his breath. Everyone on earth knows the name Picasso! And what is Picasso most familiar with in painting? Everyone on earth knows that it is an abstract art!

However, after the incident with van Gogh's fake "Sunflowers" painting, Shane Casson became more cautious and asked doubtfully, "You don't think this painting is real, do you?"

Auerbach nodded slowly and said seriously, "If there are no surprises, this painting is indeed original. Regarding the reason, I will ask my old friend to come and explain to you. His words would be even more weighty since he worked in this field!"

...

Auerbach brought a camera and took many "Woman with Tambourine" photos from different angles. She also chose a painting from an unknown artist called "Morning Window Blowing in the Woods" and took her video as well.

"I'll send it to my friend and let him judge it with his professional eyes" Auerbach explained. "That guy is the art director at Lee Auction House in Ottawa, and he has a keen eye."

Shane Casson kept the painting carefully. As Auerbach was about to leave, he saw the pickup truck in the yard and nodded, "It is inconvenient to go into town from a fishing spot. I forgot about this. Here's what we're gonna do: you drive my old Ford, and I'm gonna take the pickup back to Anderson."

Anderson is the name of the innkeeper.

After hearing those words, Shane Casson was touched and said, "You gave me a Ford, then what are you going to drive?"

Auerbach said, "I also have a BMW 750, so I'll drive a BMW."

Shane Casson remained silent.

After Auerbach left, Shane Casson lived alone in the small building with nothing to do, so he picked up a vacuum cleaner and a duster, preparing to clean the place.

This small building consists of two floors. The first floor has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, storage space, and a kitchen, with a total area of over 300 square meters. The living room itself is almost 100 square meters.

The second floor is slightly smaller, with an area of about 250-260 square meters, there are six bedrooms arranged symmetrically. In addition, there is a large closet with an area of about 20 square meters. The decorating style is simple and the entire small building has been lined with high-quality maple floors on both its floors and walls, which are not only moisture resistant but also beautiful.
