Chapter 12 Lucas's Offerings

After the middle-aged woman left, then Bella regretted her words. He seemed rude and disrespectful, even heartlessly accusing his Aunt of planning something bad for him and Lucas, too, he told me to sit on the floor no matter if it was dirty because what he had in mind was only one, how his relationship with Lucas was going forward, anyway the man he loved had agreed to marry another woman.

Bella's tears could not be prevented, and she cried sobbing. Until the sound of footsteps stopped her crying and in a hurry she wiped away the tears on her cheeks.

"Can I come in?" said a woman.

Bella knows well from her voice and the woman is none other than the female Kimber who will be with her man.

With a heavy heart he let the woman into his room. Bella stood up from her seat then looked at Kimber with a flat look.

"I just wanted to take you to lunch, because under the people have been waiting for you." Kimber looks nervous talking to Bella.

Bella smiled, but from the bottom of her heart she cursed Kimber, "I'm not hungry, if you're hungry it's better to just eat now, don't wait for me" she said.

Kimber is not an innocent woman and also innocent because he knows Bella is jealous of him and he does not feel good because of it. If only he and Aaron didn't have that ridiculous deal maybe he would have backed out when Aunt Mandy told Lucas to marry her, because she thought marriage wasn't something to be played with, but it had to be how else, if he refuses then the impact will be felt by his family.

"Are you mad at me, Bell? I mean, about that marriage," Kimber tried to figure out what the woman in front of him was thinking.

"If so, would you be happy" Bella replied in a cynical tone.

"But why? Isn't that fun news? Your brother is getting married, "dog Kimber.

And after Kimber said that Bella's facial expression completely changed. He looks angry.

"Then I congratulate you on your wedding plans. May the man you marry truly love you. You better get out, I'm sleepy," Bella's really upset and she kicked Kimber out of her room.

Kimber could not speak anymore, he resignedly moved from Bella's room with mixed feelings.

"Have you talked to Bella?" someone's voice surprised him.

Kimber turned towards the man, then he lowered his head, "A, may I reject the marriage plan and confess if I lose to you instead?"

Silent. Both of them dissolve with their own thoughts.

"Do I have to win the happiness of others to make my family happy?" kimber's speech was very slow, yet could still be heard by the man.

Aaron looked at the woman's face fixed, actually he wanted to hug the woman's body back. Clutching her tightly, made her feel amused, yet she could not. He was too afraid if he had to be affected more deeply by his feelings.

"I want to run, I don't know. I don't know what it's going to be like, if I'm really married to Lucas, is that guy gonna love me?" the woman was really depressed.

Aaron couldn't do anything, all he could do was listen to the woman's grievances. Until he saw the tear run through the woman's two eyeballs, making him harden his heart not to be affected by the sight.

"We'd better get back to the dinner table, or they'll be suspicious of us" Aaron stepped in first to leave Kimber. He actually wanted to entertain the woman but how else, after all the idea to separate the two brothers was his own idea is not possible if he had to step back because of the feelings of the woman in front of him, who is Kimber? She was just a stranger in her life.

Both go hand in hand. Kimber in the back followed Aaron's tall body. Her tears have been removed and she has to act again as if she is the happiest woman to be married to Lucas.

Arriving at the dining table, Lucas looked at Kimber with a flat gaze and turned his gaze toward Aaron.

"Why did you last long, A?" he asked after Aaron sat in front of him again.

"My stomach is heartbroken, it seems like I ate the wrong thing this morning," Aaron glanced at Lucas as he smiled at his signature smile.

"Then immediately find a partner, I don't want to hear the news in the next few days." Lucas snorted and smiled.

"Sure, and it won't be long" Aaron said.

Kimber and Aunt Mandy were silent. It seemed like they wanted to have more dialogue with themselves inside their heads, rather than join the chatter of the men nearby.

"Can we talk after we eat?" Lucas asked making the woman flinch in shock and glanced at him.

"Speak what? Why not just here?" Kimber did not want to be alone with the man, let alone having to talk about the wedding plan. Suddenly her appetite disappeared and her stomach felt wrapped around her nervousness.

"Did you finally agree to marry Kimber, Luc?" Aaron was really curious.

Lucas frowned then smiled mysteriously at his friend.

Aaron saw a big smile from Lucas made his heart suddenly upset and he really did not like if the man tried to celebrate Kimber.

"Actually who's Kimber? It's not that he's just someone else to you, but why aren't you happy that Lucas is going to play with that woman?" Aaron snorted softly as he suddenly recalled what he had thought a few minutes ago.

After lunch Kimber was led to Lucas' room. While Aunt Mandy and Aaron, they were both still in the kitchen.

The man's room looked neat, and Kimber was astonished that there was a man like Lucas on this earth.

"What do you want to talk about?" Kimber chose to sit on the bed while looking at the man's face.

Lucas raised his eyebrows up, then sat down next to Kimber, "I'm going to marry you anyway, and that's because of my aunt's request, but don't expect me to involve feelings in our marriage."

Kimber's eyes were perfectly rounded and he was completely hurt by the man's words.

"you mean? I don't understand" said Kimber.

Lucas snorted dislikefully if his words were to be repeated, "I will still marry you, but without love. After you give birth to a baby we'll get a divorce."

Kimber was like he was struck by lightning back then, and his feelings were shattered. His tears could not be dammed again as soon as the melt flooded his eye peluk.

"Why don't you just refuse and marry Bella?" Kimber.

"Because that's impossible" Lucas answered so flatly and he was reluctant to look at the face of the woman beside him.

"Why is that impossible, instead of you loving each other? The word love can defeat whatever obstacles stand in their way" Kimber said.

"Unfortunately it's just that, anyway I'm going to marry you, not Bella." Lucas looked up at Kimber's face.

"If that's what you want to talk about, it looks like I should consider this ridiculous wedding plan." Kimber was about to stand up, but his wrist was held back by the man.

"You have no choice, Kim, because I've asked your family for permission and they've agreed. I'm assuming tonight or tomorrow your whole family is here and we'll be married in two days." Lucas jerked Kimber's wrist so that the woman sat back down next to him.

Again, the two kimber eyeballs were rounded to hear the words of the man beside him. True to what Aaron said, Lucas has a cold heart and is also arrogant. Her tears could not be controlled, especially with the sobbing coming out of her thin aunt, she was really weak and wanted to escape. If only when Aaron visited his house and offered him the absurd plan, he would have rejected it if he knew it would eventually be like this.

"Why should I" he murmured more to himself.

"Because you've been a bully from the beginning" Lucas really doesn't have a heart.

The feelings Kimber felt could not be said with words, after all who would hear them.

Actually Lucas did not want to hurt the woman, but how else. If he looks tender to her, because he does not want to give false hope to the woman. With this, Kimber will realize how he feels after they get married.

"If I refuse how?" kimber said as he lowered his head.

"To make sure that won't happen, because I've paid off all your family's debts and I'm not sure you can pay them off in two days' time" Lucas laughed curiously, and he really was like someone who was taking advantage of that woman because of her helplessness.

"I guess you're a good guy I was wrong, you're the same as a loan shark." Kimber's words made Lucas' laughter even louder, and he really disliked it.

"You're funny. How can you equate me with a loan shark, if the payment is only willing to marry me and give me a child, it won't be as hard as you imagine."

Kimber grimaced Lucas' words, and he was a little embarrassed to have likened him to a loan shark.

"I still can't" Kimber said.

"Then pay your family's debt to me," Lucas glanced at Kimber as he turned down his grin.
