Chapter 24 End of Story

Aaron looked at Lucas. He could not bear to see the man slumped because he heard the truth about their father.

"That's right, Luc, and I'm sorry for everything" Aaron looked at the man sadly, then turned his gaze toward the middle-aged woman.

Aaron stepped up again, he was not afraid in the slightest, if he had to die in his hands. He believes his death is the end of it all. He wants to correct his mistake.

The middle-aged woman looked at her biological child in disbelief. He did not think that his son would turn against him.

"You son of a bitch. It's free for me to look for you back then, if I knew the truth would be like this," Aunt Mandy snorted in dislike. He tightened his grip on Bella's hair, as if only Bella's hair was able to be a grip for her to survive.

Aaron looked at his mother's face flat, he didn't care to get the joking, because the most important thing was the safety of his two younger siblings.

"I'm going to let them go, Mom." Aaron's getting closer to his mom.

Bella cried out in pain, as her aunt Mandy's hand tightened. He looked at the two men in turn, and wanted to say that he wanted to be free.

"I beg you, Mom, for my sake" Aaron is now right in front of his mother. He wanted to reach her, to embrace her. Strengthen the middle-aged woman.

Aunt Mandy is still flinching. Slowly her hand began to weaken leaving Bella's long hair.

Aaron smiled, because his mother wanted to do what he wanted. Then turned her gaze towards Bella.

"Quick go, calm Lucas," he muttered, only to be heard by Bella.

Slowly Bella got away. He turned his head towards the middle-aged woman, then ran towards the man he loved.

Bella hugged Lucas' body. Trying to give him strength. However, the man simply shook his head without giving him any response.

Lucas' tears still welled up from both of his eyes, and Bella didn't like it. He cupped both sides of the man's face, then pointed it right at his face.

"There's me by your side, Luc," Bella kept staring fixedly at Lucas. He rubbed the man's face.

Slowly Lucas began to look at Bella's beautiful face, then grabbed the slender body into his embrace.

"I'm afraid that what Aunt Mandy told me is true" Lucas murmured.

Bella's body stiffened, but after that it squeezed back.

"I believe Dad wouldn't do that. Because I believe she only loves a Mom." Bella was actually doubtful of her words. Because, if indeed his Daddy only loves his Mommy, why when he was a child, he had seen a dispute between the two.

Lucas nodded. He was convinced by what the woman in front of him said, because he knew she would not lie.

Lucas stood up while pulling Bella to his feet as well. Afterwards, he could only silently stare at the two people in front of him.

Aaron grabbed his mother's body. He did not care, if at any time the muzzle of the gun would lead to him. What he wants now is to calm his mother, to want her back to what she used to be.

"Mom, forget all this and come back," Aaron hugged him. Now, her tears have come out of her eyes.

The middle-aged woman stiffened, but said nothing. He just kept quiet.

Behind her predicament, the middle-aged woman was in a dilemma between choosing to stick to her decision or retreat as her son had asked. But a sweet smile began to appear on her lips.

"A, I want you to fulfill my request." Aunt Mandy releases Aaron's embrace. He looked at his son's face. Both of his hands framed Aaron's face. "I want to be free when I'm gone. I want to be connected to nature. Do you want to fulfill my request, A?" Both of his eyes were wet. However, that smile had not completely disappeared from his lips.

Aaron looked at that smile. He remembered most of the time, when the woman first met him and told him that she was his birth mother.

Aaron nodded. Grabbing that body back into his embrace. He's very happy. Because in the end, her mother returns to her, forgetting her ambition to hurt Bella.

"I hate him, but I love him too. This affection is far too great than the hate I feel. So, I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm glad you're my first and last man. Even though your body I don't have, you gave me someone in my life. I will still love you, despite having to endure the pain of my entire life" muttered Aunt Mandy who could be heard by Aaron.

With a big smile Aunt Mandy raised her hand that was holding the gun, then pointed it at her own forehead.

Aaron did not see what his mother did, but he saw the pale faces of Lucas and Bella. Both are only visible sculpting, until the sound of deafening ears is heard from the eruption of weapons that do not belong to whom.

Bella screamed, and so did Lucas. The two ran towards Aaron and Aunt Mandy.

Aaron was not aware of what happened, but when his mother felt his body weakened he released his hug.

"What did Mom do?" Aaron looked at his mother's pretty face. He tried to wipe away the blood that hit that face.

Aunt Mandy smiled. His hand was trying to reach Aaron's face. "I love you, just in case you're all right."

Aaron cried when he found out that his mother was lifeless.

Lucas hugged Aaron from behind. As for Bella, she grasped the man's gaze tightly.

"I'm sure Aunt Mandy is happy there, '" muttered Bella.

Aaron fulfilled his mother's last wish. And now here he is, on the reef. Down there the waves look ferocious rolling and hit the reef. He is not alone, because Bella wants Lucas to accompany her. The three of them agreed to sprinkle the ashes of the woman they loved in that place. So that his body can blend with nature.

After the ash sowing event was over. The three went towards the black car parked not far from the place.

Along the way, Bella always holds Lucas' hand. As for Aaron, he looked glum.

Lucas noticed the unusual attitude of the man. Then he let go of his hand and matched Aaron's pace.

Lucas looked back at the face of the man he now knew as his half-brother.

"Some news, Kim?" Aaron turned his head, then shook his head to hear a question from Lucas.

"Didn't he leave any messages for you, A?" ask Lucas again.

Aaron's eyes were round, then a smile fell from his lips.

He accelerated his pace. Open the car door in a hurry. Scramble the contents of the car's dashboard, until a piece of paper folded neatly has moved in his hand.

"Kim left this to the Sister," he said excitedly, then opened the folds of paper to read it.

However, the sweet-looking smile on Aaron's lips slowly began to fade.

The sight did not escape Bella nor lucas. Both of them approached Aaron.

"How's it?" ask Bella.

Aaron shook his head, then handed the paper to Bella.

At first Bella smiled, but as she read the letter. His smile was lost and replaced by a look of sadness that seemed lazy.

Bella turned her head towards Lucas, then hugged the man tightly. "Kim's gone" he said.

Lucas stared in turn at the two. Then read the letter directly.

Bella says Kimber has left and may never return.

I'm sorry for everything. I had to leave because I wanted to start over. Don't look for me, because no one knows where I am.

I'm sorry, A, I have to say everything through this piece of paper. I don't hate you, really. It's just that I was afraid that if I had to face you, my heart started to doubt. And I'd be more afraid of losing you.

Yeah, my fear is ridiculous. However, with this I do not have to face you directly. But I promise this isn't the end of our story.

Yes, I will admit that I love you too. Away from your confession to me, maybe you showed up for the first time that night.

I love you, it doesn't mean we're going to be together. Love is a real sacrifice.
