Chapter 114

When Maura was struggling with her mind that had imagined how she should resist embarrassment while wearing the lingerie. On the other hand, Erland felt disturbed when he heard the ringing of his phone that rang loudly.

"Who the hell, bother," Erland erred irritated but unruffled her hand now moved to pick up her phone lying on the nightstand beside her bed at this time. He opened his eyes slightly to look at the caller.

He clucked when he saw the name Afif that was on the screen of his phone.

"What the hell's the boy," grumbled Erland as he shifted the green phone icon with him changing his lying position to sit. And when he had sat down, he realized that Maura was no longer in the room. Erland's eyes circled around, looking for Maura's whereabouts before someone's voice shifted his attention.

📞 : "Erland Boss! Help me!"

Erland frowned when she heard Afif yelling for help.

📞 : "Boss, please!"

For the second time Afif said the same words which made Erland sigh. He who was very lazy to speak, finally he chose to say so that Afif did not continue to repeat his words.

"Why?" asked Erland briefly.

📞 : "Boss help me!" Erland rolled her eyes lazily. The secretary seemed eager to be hit by a shoe throw from him.

"To the point, Afif. I don't have much time just to hear you repeat your words!" erland said with his ferociousness.

While Afif who got the jolt, he was surprised. But only for a few moments because he returned to focus towards his very, very quiet surroundings.

"You kidnapped? Not your fault?"

Erland's lips lifted, forming a sweet smile with a moving hand, returning Maura's hand.

Where when Maura kissed the back of her hand, Erland placed her left hand right on top of Maura's crown as she recited, "Allahumma inni as'aluka min khoirihaa wa khoirimaa jabaltahaa 'alaih. Wa a'udhu bika min syarri hana wa syarri maa jabaltaha 'alaih."

Maura, who did not understand what Erland was doing, closed her eyes when Erland prayed, and after she felt Erland was done with her prayer she kept her face away from Erland's hands. But it was only a moment when he stood up straight, the surprise attack Erland gave him made him surprised instead of playing. Where Erland immediately kissed her forehead long enough before moving to both cheeks and ending up on her lips.

A smile even Erland showed after finishing giving a sweet kiss earlier to the wife. Before again he gently rubbed Maura's head.

"I'll go out for a minute. Assalamualaikum," said Erland.

"Wa-waalaikumsalam," Maura replied with a stutter. Where it makes Erland must desperately hold his anxiety that makes him not willing to come out of his house. But he has to come out now, considering that there is one life under threat right now.

As for Maura, he stared at Erland's departure with a face that flushed red in shame over what he had just received from Erland earlier. Ahhhh and don't forget that heartbeat that almost came out from inside his chest. Gosh, that makes Maura almost crazy.
