Istikharah
In-law

Leon and Arini drive to Leon's parents' house in an online taxi. They are just the four. Not taking baby sitters.

Malvin and Pearl have returned from abroad. The two come home to meet their beloved granddaughter. Joseph.

"I'm scared" said Arini. "What if it turns out that Mama and Papa have not been able to accept Jasmine," he said. He looked anxiously at Jasmine who was asleep on Leon's lap. Unfortunately the fate of Jasmine, the toddler who was affected by the actions of his parents.

Leon stroked Arini's shoulder. "You're calm, huh? I'm sure Mama and Papa will take Jasmine. Jasmine is innocent of anything. He does not deserve to be hated. I am the one who should be hated. Not Jasmine," Leon said.

Arini was worried about that. He was afraid that Leon's first child would have no place in the hearts of his father and mother-in-law.

While still a baby, but what if the hatred continues until Jasmine grows up? What should Arini do?

"It's over, sir, Mom."

The sound of the taxi driver blasting the monologue on Arini's head. He and Leon rushed out of the car.

Arini quietly glued in front of the fence of her in-laws house. He was afraid to put his foot in.

"Don't be afraid" Leon said, holding Arini's hand into his parents' house.

Leon rang the bell. And before long appeared a middle-aged woman who was still beautiful. She is the mother-pearl of Leon. Leon and Arini immediately greeted the Pearl with reverence.

"Yusuf. Same with Oma, yuk!" The pearl immediately took Joseph from Arini's sling and brought him into the house.

Joseph is the kind of baby that gets sticky to everyone. Sometimes Arini feels misgivings, what if Joseph is kidnapped? The baby is not afraid of new people.

Leon and Arini looked at each other. What about Jasmine?

Leon knows that Arini is upset, therefore he clasps Arini's hand again and leads Arini into the house.

"Where is it, where?" leon asked as he landed his butt on the single sofa. He was still holding Jasmine.

"When you take a shower" replied Pearl. He sat down across from Leon.

Meanwhile, Arini heads to the kitchen to serve her eggs and brownies. He deliberately made his own martabak and brownies. Not buy.

Arini soon reappeared with two dishes containing eggs and brownies. "It's Rini's own, Ma," Arini said as she put the two plates on the table.

"You take care of two kids and work outside, still have time to cook?" tanya Pearl amazed. It's amazing this daughter-in-law.

Arini nodded. "Rini will be assisted by two baby sitters, Ma," replied Arini. He sat down next to the pearl.

"Ma.." call Leon.

"What?" the Pearl replied without looking at Leon. He was talking to Joseph. "Yusuf lived in Oma's house, didn't he?" ask Pearl as if Joseph could be spoken to.

"Lohs... You guys have come?" Malvin came down the stairs and headed towards the sofa.

Arini and Leon immediately stood up and greeted his father.

Again, unwanted things happen. Malvin ignored Jasmine's presence. Malvin went straight to Joseph.

As parents, of course Arini and Leon's hearts were sliced apart. Which parents would have the heart to see their children not accepted by a large family?

"Ma... Pa.." call Leon.

"Hmmm..." Only muttered by Malvin, while the Pearl was silent.

The Pearl stared straight at Leon. He said, "Now not yet. Don't know later."

"Papa knew Jasmine was innocent, but somehow it felt so hard to accept" Malvin said.

Arini who sat next to the Pearl could only bow down. He bit his lower lip. Although Jasmine is not her biological child, Arini still loves Jasmine like her own biological child. For Arini there is no special difference between Joseph and Jasmine. And the treatment of her two in-laws made Arini's heart break. His son is not accepted.

"Sorry, Ma, Pa. It's all Leon's fault" Leon said slowly. He let go of Jasmine's sling and held her in his arms.

Malvin just shrugged his shoulders, while the silent Pearl did not say anything.

Malvin and Pearl already knew all about her son. They already know that Leon is divorced from artist Caca Calina. Of course they're very happy. They also know that Arjuna is not Leon's real son.

It was Calina herself who told me through an email message. At once Calina bade her head-in-law farewell, and also apologized for ruining their son's household.

Of course the email was only read and not replied to by Malvin and Pearl. They are not willing to pay it back.

Although they are happy about the news of the separation of his son and artist Caca Calina, but they keep their happiness alone. Not shown in front of Leon and Arini.

"Have you retired, huh?" malvin asked as he looked towards Arini.

"Yes, Pa. How does Papa know?" answer Arini.

"Papa you chat Papa. He said he was retired now. The plan is tomorrow we both want to go to your Papa's house. Silaturahmi. You guys come, just go!" It was the pearl that said.

Arini agreed.

"Jasmine sleepy. Leon went to the room first, Pa, Ma," said Leon, holding Jasmine, whose eyes were five watts.

"Hmmm..." Again Malvin only deals with deheman.

"You want to take care of Becca's son, anyway," said Pearl when Leon had entered his room.

Who should be taken care of? The orphanage? I still have my mom and dad on the beach. Thought Arini.

Arini just smiled. He doesn't know what to answer.

"This mama how, if not Rini, who wants to take care of it? His grandmother and mother are dead" said Malvin.

"Can be put on the orphanage beach, Pa," said Pearl while crossing her right foot on her left foot. Joseph changed hands with Malvin.

"This mom is just careless. If Leon hears, he'll be angry."

"Mama doesn't care. Will Leon be angry with us? He could be an ungodly child."

Malvin and Pearl argue together. Arini could only watch the debate of the two with a wry smile.

"Will Papa accept Jasmine?" ask the pearl ketus.

"Maybe someday Papa can accept Jasmine. If not already."

"Huh! Papa, sucks!" The pearl takes a piece of brownie and then eats it. "Yes... It's delicious, you should open the bakery, Rin," said Pearl as she chewed.

Arini just smiled lightly in response to her mother-in-law. Because he was still upset at his in-laws who always cornered Jasmine.
