Zafira stood glued staring at Fariz's departure until the man disappeared from behind the restaurant door, there was regret slipping in the young girl's heart because he had told his best friend to leave.
Just about two minutes after Fariz left the restaurant, Ronald's phone rang again.
Zafira and Ronald looked at each other and Ronald immediately took the sophisticated object in the pocket of the pants that were still ringing then looked at the mobile phone screen.
"Who is that? Mama you again?" Zafira asked suspiciously.
"Bik Suti, the worker at omaku's house," replied Ronald.
This time the basketballer said honestly, because on the screen of his cellphone was written the name "Bik Suti".
"Here, I'm the one who picked up!," Zafira began to protect Ronald.
Ronald could not resist, he gave the small object that still rang to Zafira.
Zafira immediately took the phone, pressed the lift button, and then pressed the Loudspeaker button.
"Speak!," Zafira said in a whisper, returning the phone to Ronald.
Ronald said he picked up the phone and started talking to his mother.
"Hallo bik Suti?,"
"Hallo mas Ronald, where is Ronald?," the bik Suti voice asked the whereabouts of his master's grandchildren.
"I'm at the mall, what's Suti's calling me?," Ronald asks about the way Suti called him.
"Mas Ronald, stomach oma relapses again, supplies little leftover medicine. Oma told aunt to call Ronald and ask Ronald to the chemist's pharmacy right now. Please buy me the usual magh mas buyan, Ronald already know the name of the drug?," a voice sounded across said at length.
"Yes bik, I already know the name of the medicine, I'm going to the pharmacy right now, tell oma, wait a minute, I'll go to the oma's house soon," replied Ronald quickly, then turned off the connection.
"Zafira, I'm sorry I can't take you home, you take a taxi, that's okay, right?" Ronald asked very carefully, afraid that the girl would get angry for telling him to go home in a taxi.
But unexpectedly, the girl did not object to Ronald's request.
"Yes, it's okay, I get it, I can take a taxi. You go now, pity oma you need medicine," said Zafira understandingly who went down the nature of his mother, Laras. Without getting angry in the slightest, Zafira was heartened to tell Ronald to immediately go to the pharmacy and willing to go home using a taxi.
"Thank you Zafira, you are very good, always understand the condition of others, that makes me very interested in you," said Ronald to hold the delicate hand of Zafira.
But Zafira politely, pulled his hand slowly from Ronald's grasp.
"Yes, go, oma you are waiting for you" Zafira told him.
"Well, I go home first, you be careful on the road yes, later I will call you," said Ronald soon passed from before Zafira with a little run out of the resto.
Zafira nodded as he escorted Ronald away with both eyes until the basketballer was lost behind the door.
Zafira took the bag and paper bag containing the school uniform on the table and walked out of the restaurant.
When he had come out of the restaurant and his legs began to climb the escalator, Zafira suddenly thought of Fariz's whereabouts, where was his best friend? Are you still at the mall or have you gone home?
"Fariz, where are you? You must be mad at me" whispered Zafira's heart in regret.
Zafira kept swinging her legs with a raging mind thinking of Fariz. And now the girl has arrived at the lobby mall.
Zafira's heart was stunned. A feeling of pleasure flowed in his heart as the girl's eyes found something in front of him that was about Eight meters away from where he was standing.
From a distance, Zafira's eyes caught the figure sitting on the waiting chair available in the lobby.
It looks Fariz is sitting while staring blankly ahead observing mall visitors passing by in front of him.
Zafira with long steps approached the friend. Fariz looked like he was daydreaming. The proof when Zafira had stood in front of him, the man had not noticed it at all. Zafira knew, surely Fariz was still thinking about his words earlier. The girl felt very guilty towards her best friend.
"Fariz" called Zafira who stood before the friend.
Fariz who did not see Zafira's presence was immediately shocked. His head looked up at the face above him, but no words were coming from Fariz's lips. He looked back to the front regardless of Zafira's presence.
Zafira sat in the chair right next to Fariz who happened to be still empty.
"You haven't come home yet?" Zafira asked as she turned to the side where Fariz was sitting.
"Fariz.., you heard me right?," Zafira shook her best friend's shoulder.
There was no response. Fariz is deaf.
"You are evil, I call not to answer" Zafira whined.
Fariz remained unmoved and did not care about Zafira's whining. He was still reminded of Zafira's words at the restaurant that for him it was outrageous, telling him to leave, choosing to go home with Ronald, even to the point of threatening not to be friends with him again.
Fariz got up from the chair and passed away leaving Zafira still sitting. The man exited the lobby mall and quickly walked towards the parking lot.
Fariz deliberately sped up the pace with the intention that Zafira would not follow him. But his desire misses, instead Zafira did not stay silent, immediately chasing the friend who was angry with him.
"Fariz wait!," Zafira continued to follow behind Fariz but the friend still did not press Zafira's call.
Zafira eventually stopped calling Fariz, but he still did not stop following Fariz's footsteps from behind.
Zafira sped up the pace with a little run along the steps of Fariz then blocked the path of the friend.
Fariz paused, glancing at the girl standing in front of him, then casting a glance at the people milling beside them.
"Fariz, why are you walking so fast? I'm tired of chasing you" asked Zafira still standing straight in front of Fariz.
Fariz was still silent, shifted the step to the side then resumed his steps.
Zafira shook his head to see Fariz's attitude that was difficult to make up. The girl finally shut up, and she continued to follow Fariz towards the parking lot.
A few minutes later, they remained silent and finally arrived at the parking lot.
Fariz approached the bike and was about to ride the red bike but quickly Zafira's hand pulled Fariz's arm.
"Stop here!," Zafira pulled Fariz's hand aside so as not to hinder the mall visitors who were about to pick up the bike.
"I'm sorry" said Zafira clenching both hands in front of her chest.
His face looked clear, staring expectantly at Fariz.
Fariz glanced for a moment observing Zafira's face which in her eyes always looks beautiful.
"Let's answer.., will you forgive me? Please forgive me, I was wrong to tell you to leave, but I'm sorry." said Zafira still with a face full of regret.
Both on the lips and in the depths of his heart, Zafira was indeed very sorry to have treated Fariz as before. Fariz was well-intentioned but he let her down. And Zafira's heart will not be able to calm down before he can apologize from a friend who is like his brother.
"Come on Fariz.., I'm sorry," said Zafira without hesitating to grab Fariz's hand and hold it.
Zafira who looks ordinary, but different from Fariz. Fariz suddenly choked, it felt like he lost his balance when Zafira's delicate hand suddenly clasped his hand.
Fariz is seen swallowing saliva and trying to calm his feelings.
During their decades-long friendship, only this time did Zafira clasp her hand tightly.
"L-yes.., I forgive you..," Fariz said stammered.
"Thank you, thank you, you're good, '" Zafira clasped Fariz's hand, which began to sweat.
Fariz immediately stomped Zafira's hand, not because he was still angry at Zafira but he did not want Zafira to feel his hands begin to tremble.
"Yes, I want to go home. What are you going home? Ronald didn't drive you?" asked Fariz, trying to neutralize the mood.
"Ronald went home first, his oma told him to buy medicine" Zafira explained.
"Oh so, continue.., what are you going home? Picked up by Mardi?," Fariz again asked with concern, as there was no way he would leave Zafira alone in the parking lot.
"No, I'll just take a taxi home. Pity to trouble mas Mardi had to pick me up here,"
"Alright, then come with me" Fariz offered.
"Are you carrying a helmet for me?" Zafira set his sights on Fariz's bike but found only one helmet on the top of the seat.
"No, but later we buy it at the helmet shop," Fariz explained casually.
"No way!," Zafira answered quickly.
"I don't want to go with you. Riding a motorcycle is not using a helmet. If papa's mama finds out, I'll definitely be scolded. Anyway, if there's a cop who sees us, we'll definitely be ticketed" Zafira refused Fariz's offer.
"Believe me. God willing, nothing will happen to us. Your mother won't know either. His helmet shop is not far away, at most Fifteen minutes from here. Then we will walk aside. From here to the helmet shop there is also no red light, so our journey will be safe," Fariz calmed Zafira's anxiety.
