Kean Hanum

Kean Hanum
Episode twenty-two

Hanum arrives at the hospital after seeing his father. The sweet sight he saw while opening the curtain of the nursery was when he saw Ibam sleeping on Kean's chest. Ibam's small hand tightly gripped Kean's clothes as if showing that he did not want to be left behind.

Long enough Hanum let at once enjoy the sight.

Your attitude is sweet even though it sucks more. I never forgot about you, the confident man who said love in front of campus that time. I'm not sure if that's true about your feelings or just wanting to be the center of attention. All I know is you always need validation from the people around you Kean.

It turns out that Hanum remembered who Kean was but he did not know that the man was Bimo's son. The man who had been betrothed to himself if he had not experienced bad things at that time. But Hanum is grateful for the current situation despite having regretted it. The presence of Ibam became a beautiful color in the course of his life. He is like a rainbow that comes after rain. Her funny behavior was always a cure when Hanum felt tired. Planting flowers that were once barren are now blooming again thanks to the smile of Ibam. God is fair. There is always wisdom from every disaster. There is always laughter after crying, there is always gratitude after misfortune. Fa inna ma'al-'usri yusroo (Then indeed with difficulty there is ease.)

Are we thankful for today? For this breath, for this smile, for today's happiness.

Hanum immediately turned his face as Kean squirmed and opened his eyes to look at him and smirked.

"I don't think you're home yet." Kean got out of bed after confirming Ibam's sleeping position, "so he was fussy when he wanted to be replaced with intravenous fluids. Afraid she said, so I went up uh overslept," Kean chuckled.

"Father, you must also be tired of our nemenin continue. Pulan gih rest!" Hanum turned to the black crackle Kean had given him before leaving. "You haven't eaten yet?" ask Hanum.

"Where can I eat rice two prosi at once. I'm waiting for you." Kean picked up the package while sitting on the floor. He also opened another pack for Hanum. "Let's eat!" continued.

"But I've eaten, Kean," Hanum replied staring at Kean guiltily as he let this kind-hearted man starve for waiting for him. He should have called her and asked not to wait. If it were like this, I would feel guilty.

Uh, it's not that he doesn't have a cell phone, but today there are still young people who don't have cell phones.

Kean nodded with a smile, not bothering about food. "Love someone else if anyone wants to. If it is too long stored later it is not good to fit in eating."

Hanum nods to take the package and offers it to the other patient waiting next to him.

The phone that was just bought earlier this morning rang in Kean's pants pocket. Soon Kean reached into it using his left hand and swiped the green icon button before attaching it to the ear.

"Ok," Kean replied briefly after hearing the words from the person who contacted him. He finished his meal and immediately washed his hands. He also grabbed his jacket and then left but retreated again because he was not yet ready.

"I go first huh," Kean said with his sweet smile.

"Where are you going?" asked Hanum curiously.

"There's something, put my son away." Next to Kean's eyes glanced at Hanum who snorted. Again made himself laugh.

Hanum returns home after Kean returns to the hospital and asks her to rest at home. He said because he still has to work tomorrow. But when he arrived in front of the house he saw a woman waiting for him there.

"Sister!" Hanum greeted the woman who was none other than his brother. Amira Shanum's.

"I don't think you're going home. It's been almost two hours brother here" replied Amira standing in front of her sister.

"What business is it?" hanum asked while unlocking the house and allowing her brother to enter. "So I also met papa, I thought Kak Mira would not come here. You didn't say anything."

"Have a drink first, brother."

Amira took a glass of drinking water and put it back on after gulping down half its contents. The rough breathing showed that there was a severe problem he wanted to convey to his sister. "I have a problem, Num."

Don't we?

Hanum nodded letting his brother talk. Not intending to interrupt and just intending to be a good oendnegar. From the look on her face she could already guess because Amira looked so depressed.

"It's about Kaif, brother, and you"

"Wait, Brother. If what you want to say about three years ago, I've forgiven him, "cut Hanum who does not want to mengwlow ria with en masalalu.

"It's not just that." Amira shook her head, "It's about the household, Brother. There is a problem with the reproductive system of the older sibling that causes the older sibling to not be able to get pregnant. Kaif wants a child. Sister came here because she thought you could help" said Amira slowly.

"So confused, Kaif keukeuh wants another child of our descendants. You want to help sister?" Ammira looked expectantly at her sister.

"What way should I help?" Hanum grabs Amira's hand and grabs it. The feeling started to feel bad but she kept smiling.

Amira stared hesitantly to say a proposal from her husband. She refused after her conversation with Kaif some time ago but Kaif still forced her to take this step even though she herself was heavy. But for him it was harder to be left by Kaif, who he had to take from Hanum.

"Sister, say! If only I could help, God willing." Although all this time he felt unfairly treated by his brother and father, but the other side of his heart always refused to see others in distress let alone it was his own brother. The resentment in his chest was always wavering with pity. Not just Amira and her father. That nature runs on who the oun who has help on him. Hanum wanted to throw away that feeling but couldn't.

"I'm the same Kaif agreed to borrow your womb, Num."

The grip on Amira's hand immediately loosened. Hanum pulled his hand quickly.

"Please brother, Num. Please, only you can help us."

"That's a really crazy idea, brother. By God it's the craziest idea." Hanum shook his head inexhaustibly with the thoughts of the two humans. He may ask for a womb whose law is clear in Islamic law.

It is illegal for a man to leave his seeds in the womb of a woman who is not his wife. A child born from a system of uterine borrowing or surrogacy has the same laws as a child resulting from adultery. The scholars agree with that. Nasab the child born will pith to his mother. He also has no relationship with his father. Treasure or mahram. If the child was born a girl then Kaif would not be able to become her guardian. Who's the loser?

"Son't got no other way, Num. Please brother."

"There are many ways, brother. Sisters can adopt children, raise and love one of the children who have unfortunate luck. Sisters become parents they don't have and sisters get children they can't get. You are a smart woman, brother. Why think so short." Hanum's breath was burning with anger because of her brother's wishes .

"You don't know, Num. You can say like that tap you're already a mother. You will not feel suffering like a brother. Brother just asked for help with you. Please." Amira clenched her hands, got off the sofa and bowed before Hanum to beg.

Amira felt herself suffering the most. He did not see how others suffered. Though every human being is given their own problems and only differentiated time and solution. People like Amira would say others don't understand because they're not in their position. If he had been in someone else's position, he would have said the same thing. Unfortunately, it never occurred to people like Amira.

Not only him but many people who always see the advantages of others without seeing their own advantages. What was seen in his eyes was only the advantages of others and the shortcomings of himself. Thinking should be the same as those who are more. Why not think the same as those who are lacking.
