Chapters 14. Lian

Five months had passed quickly, during that time as well. I never again gave the mission to Lien Hua and made her both annoyed and bored.

“What's up, Hua? Why is your face so sour.” Lien Hua who was in upset mode turned her head towards the sound, she forced a smile.

“It's okay, Lian. I just don't feel well.”

“So yeah? Do you want to go to the library? He said there were some books that had just been ushered in.” Lien Hua gave a small nod, she then took Lian's hand and walked to the library.

“Lian, can I ask?” lien Hua asked suddenly and making Lian's focus break, she turned her head towards Lien Hua and nodded.

“What are you, really just a noble from the village?”

Lian immediately coughed, she nodded with a tense face. “T-of course, are you suspicious of your three-month-old friend?”

Just a few seconds before everything returned to normal, Lien Hua blinked a few times with a puzzled face. He rubbed his eyes slowly and turned towards the window.

“What's up, Lien? Aren't you feeling well?” asked Lian who felt strange about Lien Hua's change in attitude.

“Ah no, I'm just dizzy. Maybe later it will be better.”

“Yes, you go back to the dorm. It's getting dark, don't wander around. The assassin who finished off prince Yu is still nowhere to be found and may still be wandering around here, be careful!” Lien Hua gave a small nod, Lian stood up and placed her book on the bookshelf.

He then walked out and left Lien Hua still grappling with his own thoughts.

Time passed quickly, until the lighting in the library went out and made Lien Hua realize. He looked over and saw his pitch-black surroundings.

Lien Hua stood up and walked out while carrying the unfinished book.

Lien Hua opened the library door very slowly, she turned her head around in a completely dark environment without any illumination.

With a doubtful step, Lien Hua closed the door and walked towards her dormitory and made the wall a directional clue.

Lien Hua screeched as there was no longer a wall that he could make a hint of direction. 'Thicken it! If only I knew it would be like this, I wouldn't be in the library that long!'

Slowly and hesitantly, Lien Hua stepped up little by little while tightly holding onto her book. 'Argh, I hate the darkness! If asked to choose, maybe I would rather see people skinned alive than be in the middle of darkness!'

Suddenly, the shadow of someone passed quickly behind Lien Hua and made her sculpt. His hands were shaking in fear. 'Shit, shit, shit!! You fool Lilia!' Lien Hua sped up her pace until she finally reached the front of the princess building, she opened the door and walked in.

He put his hand on the wall again, with his eyes closed. Lien Hua walked decisively towards her dorm.

He smoothly walked without falling even a little, until the wind felt in his ears and made him amused. But that was not what made Lien Hua shocked and afraid.

'Wait, wait, wait! It is not possible that the usual wind that fits into my ears, do not-don't.'

“Wah, it turns out that a cold-blooded killer like you can be scared too ya.” A hoarse yet familiar voice instantly lingered in Lien Hua's ears, she opened her eyes and turned her head.

“Not accusing, I have proof. Miss Li.” Zhang Xue reached into his pants pocket, he took out an object wrapped in a white cloth, as the cloth was removed. Lien Hua rounded her eyes, she was able to see clearly due to the help of the moonlight and also the thing that was somewhat glowing.

'That dagger, that dagger I accidentally left five months ago! I thought that the dagger was gone, it was taken by Zhang Xue. If he gives it to the Professor, it is certain that my disguise will be exposed!' Lien Hua biting his nails in frustration, he looked straight at Zhang Xue who always wore his blindfold.

Lien Hua looked at the people who were now surrounding her with swords and also magic wand.

'I'm surrounded!'
