“Nona, where will we escape? Guards around the residence.”

Xia He and Lien Hua had noticed the surroundings and the guards on patrol.

“Follow me!” lien Hua said and ran small while holding Black, Lien Hua looked around vigilantly and stopped in front of the not-so-high wall, according to him.

However, he still could not climb the wall because Xia He was the one who rejected the clothes he was given and preferred to wear the servant uniform.

'I can climb this wall, but what about Xia He?' inner Lien Hua while glancing at Xia He who was watching the surroundings.

“Xia He, can you climb?”

“I'm sorry Miss, but I can't climb. Moreover, walls this high.”

Lien Hua tapped her chin thinking, she analyzed the height of the wall in front of her.

“Lien Hua!”

A faint smile rose on Lien Hua's face when her name was called.

“Egh, finally being able to get out of the residence,” muttered Lien Hua while stretching her body, she gazed towards the high wall that blocked her from seeing her home for the last time.

“N-miss Lien.”

Lien Hua glanced back, where Xia He was sobbing while holding Black.

“K-why do Miss Li Yao and Miss Mei have so much heart on you?”

“Forget Xia, why are you sad? You should be happy, at least. There was no longer any need to accept the scorn or humiliation of the two spoiled Misses. Let's go, I have a lot of coins for us to rent a house.” Lien Hua turned around and walked away, leaving the ministerial residence with a satisfied smile on her face.

'I should have thanked my two sisters. They turned out to be smart enough that I didn't have to do anything to escape or get kicked out.'

“Xia He, stop crying! You're disrupting my concentration!”

“M-I'm sorry Miss,” Xia He said sobbing, she wiped her tears and ran small to catch up with Lien Hua who had walked away.

'Now think about how to get a job. What do I have to work for? So another killer? Or robbers? The bandits?' Lien Hua shook his head slowly.

'Strange idea, if the killer could have. But bandits or robbers, will be bothered because they have to gather a lot of people. So, um, I better think about it, maybe we can get a job in the market. I'll be there tomorrow.'

“Nona Lien Hua.”

Lien Hua stopped and looked back. “What's up?”

“What Master won't look for us?” xia He asked doubtfully, Lien Hua sighed softly. Lien Hua walked back and made Xia He follow her again.

“Xia He, you must have known. Who I am and what importance I have in their family.” Hearing Lien Hua's rather hoarse voice, Xia He lowered his head.

Lien Hua smiled faintly. “I'm not their real child, Xia He. To them, I am just a burden and will always be a freehold child who is nothing compared to them.” Lien Hua chuckled in a sliced manner.

“After all-” Lien Hua looks back. “Child raised on the road will still return to the road.”

“N-miss Lien, I don't mean-”

Lien Hua looked down. “It's okay, Xia He. I know you don't want to make me remember, please don't tell them anymore. Let's just say they're all just strangers.”

Lien Hua's hair covered one of her eyes, involuntarily. His hand lifted and returned Xia He's embrace.

'Shit! This is not what I want, why! It feels so real, this pain in my heart. Did Hua experience it too?'

Xia He released his embrace and made Lien Hua slightly move away. “Nona Lien, i-”

“What's Xia?” asked Lien Hua who was feeling strange with Xia He who was suddenly silent while covering his mouth with both hands.

“N-miss Lien-”

“Wah, whew. Looks like we found two pretty girls.”

Lien Hua who heard a foreign voice behind her turned her head, her eyes staring flat at some burly man who was standing in front of her. Only a man wearing a black robe stood amidst the burly man.

'Bandits on the street like this? And it seems, the hit men are also working together? Hahaha, that's weird.' Lien Hua laughed inwardly, she looked at the burly men with a peeking look.

“N-miss Lien, how is this?”

“Xia He, listen to me! On the count of three, you turn around and run as fast as you can! Bring Black, I don't want him to get hurt too,” muttered Lien Hua.

“What did you say Miss? No way I-”

“Xia He! Listen to my orders!”

“Good, Miss.” Xia He relented, he lowered his head and made Lien Hua sigh slowly.

“Don't worry, Xia He. I can take care of myself, I'll take care of you too. So follow my instructions, after finishing this. I'll find you.”

“It looks like the Miss is quite rich, we can take the money and also the woman.”

Lien Hua screeched cynically hearing the words from them. “Nona rich? Heng, you may be able to get anything, but he's an exception.” Lien Hua glanced at Xia He who was standing behind her.

“What's Miss? Are you giving yourself up, why? Is that waitress really important?”

“Servant? Yeah, he's very important. Even more important than valuables here!” lien Hua said without any burden, her flat gaze towards the old-looking cloaked man.

“Eh, what's that? All right, our boss gave you two choices. One, give all your precious possessions and that servant. Two, you're coming with us.”

“I'll come with you,” said Lien Hua without a second thought, the man looked a little dazed. He glanced at the cloaked man who was as if he was coding for the man.

“Alright, follow us!” the man immediately walked away, a few other men carrying Lien Hua. While Xia He who was carrying Black continued to call out the name Lien Hua.

“Nona Lien, please don't follow them! Let me go.” Xia He sobbed as he continued to hold one of the hand of the burly man, Lien Hua glanced at Xia He.

“Don't worry, I'll be back. Wait for my return, Xia He.” Lien Hua walked back and behind him stood two large-bodied men.

“Nona Lien Hua!” Xia He sat on the ground while sobbing.

Lien Hua continued walking without looking back, until she was quite far away from Xia He. Only then did Lien Hua stop and confuse them.

“What's up? Keep walking!”

“It seems, I can only get here.” Lien Hua's hair covered one of her eyes, her gaze was extremely sharp and piercing to anyone.
