Handoko Residence is famous for sacred for some people. Dita's great-grandmother was indeed a kejawen and worshiper of something supernatural.
In the past every full moon, in the gazebo there will be an offering led by Grandma Buyut Dita with her assistant Mbahnya Mbok Nem as a pigeon. They never leave the tradition. I don't know for what, but Dita wasn't told why.
It lasted for several years until Grandma Dita died, after which no one continued the tradition. Moreover, the house was instantly deserted uninhabited afterwards.
However, apparently the tradition is maintained by the pigeon who sometimes come to the House of Handoko once a month right on the full moon. He did so to keep the mandate of Mbah Buyut Dita.
The awesomeness of the place is seen from the building of the house and also some relics that are in the house. Until now there is a ban that says if no one is allowed to move or replace old items with new items in the house.
Almost all of the goods there are made from Dutch teak wood. Every ornament engraved on the wood has a hidden meaning. However, all of that was done by special craftsmen who had served the Handoko Family.
A gazebo in the backyard is often used for worship ceremonies on ancestors there. Therefore when we are there, the atmosphere will feel wingit.
Dita who remembered it immediately invited her husband to leave, because after that it was certain that the place would be used by Mbok Nem as a place of recitation.
Dita did not immediately say that but she looked for a reasonable reason, for her husband to follow her into the room.
"Mas, just go back to the room, I'm tired."
"Yes, come on!"
Tito returned his wife back to the room. Moments later, it was true that Mbok Nem came and immediately cleaned the gazebo area.
First he poured the four pole gazebos with water. Then after that, it was wrapped in red cloth.
Mbok Nem also prepared a tray containing seven flowers whose petals had just been picked fresh, and did not fall out. The petals of cantile flowers that are purchased also have not bloomed, still buds all.
Do not forget the incense that has been burned in a cup. Afterwards some porridge from rice and sticky rice is placed in five containers and brought with a slap placed in the middle of the gazebo. Beside the flower seven forms with in the middle there is a chicken cemani cooked into eggplant.
As a complement there are four kinds of drinking water that are in four small glasses. There is tea, powder (coffee), boiled water, and water containing intact rose petals, a three-seed bud cantilever and a five-seed ylang flower, everything must have a submerged part and a sliver from above.
The king's sword was placed on a tray as a cover. Mbok Nem doesn't need anyone to help him do all that.
He is very familiar with the world of Kejawen. So that the Handoko Family just accept the order. After everything was enough and there was no shortage, Mbok Nem immediately started the event.
He clenched his hands in front of his forehead and prayed there. His mouth read the mantra.
A few moments later the wind blew very hard. The cover cloth gazebo only until waving because of it. Almost a gust of wind put the fire in the cup out, but it didn't happen.
The flower arrangement that was once neat is now scattered and becomes withered instantly. If that happens, it means that the gazebo waiter has come and is ready to eat all the dishes served.
The smell of frankincense burning, making mystic air very felt up to Dita's room. However, Dita was not disturbed at all.
Although Tito is basically a ghost, but he does not like the smell of frankincense. Unknowingly, he closed his nose. She was shocked to see her husband behave this way.
"What's wrong with you, Mom?"
"I don't like the smell of frankincense, Ayu."
"Ha ha ha, ghosts don't like the smell of incense."
"So you why am I a ghost?"
"Well, isn't it, Mas?"
"But not that time either!" Tito immediately threw away the face of Dita.
She felt guilty for offending her husband, but she was astonished, why didn't her mother-in-law immediately take Tiyo?
"Mas, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your heart."
"Hm."
"Mas, can I ask you something?"
"Yes, just say it."
"Don't Mas say, you can't be in Tiyo's body for more than three days, why didn't you come here?"
Tito immediately turned his head, as if he had just been reminded of something.
"How about you take me to the Hospital, isn't there some equipment that can help Tiyo breathe?"
Dita nodded. "But, Mom, the car doesn't exist."
"Wear an online object anyway, I'm afraid if it lingers in this body later I can be destroyed."
"It's best that we anticipate before it's too late."
"Yes, how about after Dzuhur we leave?"
"All right, I'll come, Mom."
Not long after, Mbok Nem had finished his ritual in the backyard. Even some of the equipment has been done.
The gazebo was now as clean as before. It's just that the mystical scent is still thick. All the items used earlier were immediately washed by Mbok Nem. Meanwhile, the cooked food is placed under the gazebo. Maybe tomorrow we will take it again.
"Bok, is it over?"
"Sampun, Den Ayu. Now you want to cook for you."
"Not much, Mbok. Later after Dzuhur I'm with Mas Tito will go."
"Where to go, Den Ayu. Isn't Kanjeng the same mother who forbade Den Ayu to leave before going around?"
"That rule doesn't apply to me anymore, Mbok. Doesn't Mbok already know who Mas Tito is?"
The question posed by Dita seems to be trapping Mbok Nem who incidentally is very sensitive to creatures other than humans.
"Yes, Den Ayu" he said, looking down.
"So Mbok should be able to help me?"
Mbok Nem raised his face.
"What help, Den Ayu?"
"Help me for ...."
