Chapters 270. Fighting Testing Rank - 1
After completing all the process of registering new disciples and obtaining the badge that was the identifying mark for the members of the Sunlight Sect, Ling Tian and Pang Huaxian immediately rushed back to the ranking testing arena.
When they arrived, Niu Lang and Jing Bao's fight had ended with the victory that Niu Lang had. He had finally managed to enter the top ten ranks in the Outer Disciple section of the Sunlight Sect. Jing Bao's position dropped to rank eleven.
“Woah ... Senior Niu is really strong!” ling Tian said with a smile. Then asked Pang Huaxian, “But why is Senior Niu not down from the top of the arena? Didn't he win?”
“That's because Senior Niu hasn't secured his position as the 10th rank. As per the rules, he would have to fight twice more for his position to be completely safe. So, Senior Niu was now waiting for the other disciples who were about to challenge him. If in ten minutes no one issues a challenge to him, then the 10th rank will automatically be his,” replied Pang Huaxian.
“Isn't that a little unfair since Senior Niu has already consumed a lot of his Qi energy? Especially if Senior Niu faces the next opponent who has the same strength as him.”
“Yeah, it is! However, it was a test for all the disciples in the sect. Because if we fight in the outside world, there will be no 'Adil' word to gain a victory from our enemies,” Pang Huaxian replied in a calm tone.

While waiting for the disciples who were about to issue a challenge to Niu Lang, Ling Tian also noticed the nine people sitting on the stage not far from the fighting arena. From Pang Huaxian's tone, Ling Tian knew that Pang Huaxian was extremely dislikeful of Hong Cao Yan's arrogant demeanor. Ling Tian also understood that Pang Huaxian was afraid to offend Hong Cao Yan, as Pang Huaxian's abilities were not comparable to those of the first ranked disciples.
