Let the Heart Choose
Chapter > 44

Andra and the nurse who escorted her were surprised by the one who snapped at them, andra turned around.

"I just want to see my son's condition" Andra said politely.

The nurse simply looked at Andra with a fierce gaze, as if she wanted to throw him out of this room right now.

"Let me be here for a moment" Andra pleaded.

"Sorry, don't you see in front there's a rule board? It was written there clearly that the family was forbidden to enter right," said the nurse with high intonation.

"I just want to see my Son" Andra said no less fiercely.

"Now is it? so you can go" said the nurse.

With a heavy heart Andra stepped out of Alif's room, occasionally she looked back. Hoping for a miracle, her Son would open his eyes and look at her at this moment.

Step by step, Andra finally disappeared behind the wall. At the same time, Alif's tiny finger slowly moved without anyone knowing.

Andra was sitting on the hospital floor, she was massaging her forehead. His head was as if he was hit by a large stone that made him have a prolonged headache.

"Sabar Mas, the nurse here is so. Later after changing shifts, the nurse is fine" said one of the people sitting on the carpet.

Andra just threw a smile, she nodded her head softly. Let's just hope what the guy says is true, Nada must be very happy to hear it.

He could not imagine how Nada felt if he could not see Alif even if only a glance.

"Who is sick?" ask the middle-aged man.

"My son sir, he's been in an accident" Andra replied briefly.

"May I recover quickly ... What age?" said the middle-aged man with an attentive gaze.

"6 years sir," Andra replied briefly, he was a little troubled by the man's question. His head was not doing well, it was very difficult for him to apply a friendly fashion.

Maybe the middle-aged man knew that Andra was distracted, so he didn't continue the conversation. He leaned against the wall while playing his finger at the flat object before him.

Shortly afterwards came a middle-aged mother who was sitting next to the man, she was carrying some plastic bags and there were some rice packs inside.

"Let's have breakfast with Mas" said the woman was friendly.

Andra shook her head softly, her stomach was hungry, but she somehow refused to put in a mouthful of rice.

"Eh, can't be refused. Monggo," said the woman, handing Andra a packet of rice.

Andra was forced to accept it, and sat down to get along with the man and woman. In the end, they had breakfast together.

Sometimes they chat lightly, where they live, who is sick, to the type of disease. Until the moment the father told his story.

She lost a child, she died of cancer in her womb. All the ways he has gone, many struggles he did just to try to keep his son's heart beating.

Until one day, the father had a dream to meet his son. He said he was tired and wanted to rest.

Since then, there has been no progress on his son. He lived only with the help of medical devices, then the father realized that all he had been doing was torturing his son.

His body was forced to stay, while his life had already flown and was still drifting without direction. And in the end, the family agreed to the release of medical devices attached to the child's body.

And the next day, their son breathed his last. Because his condition is declining drastically.

"The father prayed for the recovery of Mas's son, but I only told him. Don't defend what should be on the loose, it will instead torture both sides." said the father gently.

As if she was advising her own son, Andra nodded her head softly and farewell. He passed a hospital mushalla.

Somehow his heart was knocked to go inside and perform the Dhuha prayer.

On the other hand, there was Nada who was busy feeding Zaskia. Because his hand is attached to a syringe makes him feel disturbed.

Over and over Zaskia's blood went into the infusion tube, and repeatedly she screamed as Tone confirmed the blood-clogged infusion.

After finishing the children's drama breakfast accompanied by crying, Zaskia finally fell asleep due to a drug reaction. Her tiny body fell asleep, I don't know how long Nada left her little daughter.

She felt Zaskia's body getting thinner, her black hair was matted and greasy as if it had never been shampooed.

"Sorry Mother yes, after Brother Alif healed. Mommy will definitely take good care of her, son," said Nada and stroked Zaskia's tangled hair.

"Where? is it better?" tanya Laras, Nada's gesrek friend first.

Aghast tone due to the loud voice of Laras, his friend did have a loud voice. Without a shout, the entire hospital was able to hear his voice.

"Udah, just wait for his appetite. Maybe tomorrow can be brought home." replied Nada with a forced smile.

Barrel stroked Zaskia's tangled hair, he stared fixedly at the young boy who was sound asleep.

"Where's andra?" ask Laras Kemabli.

"I don't know, don't care either." replied Nada origin, somehow it feels dead for her husband.

Nada loved him very much. It was even able to reject an established person like Satria and as good as Faisal, just for the sake of a man full of mystery like Andra.

"Patience yes Nad, the household has its ups and downs" said Laras while nudging the limp body Nada.

"Gue buyin somay huh?" ask Baras with sparkling eyes.

Tone of a small smile, his eyes glazed at the behavior of his friend. They have not been together for a long time because of their respective activities, it turns out that their attention is still the same as before.

"It's a habit, to ask what. What's the answer." complains Laras while scrambling Tone's hair.

"Still the Race" said Nada hugging Laras tightly.

"Remember our motto, live to eat and eat to live. There is no such thing as confusion, because we .." continued Laras with enthusiasm.

"Wonder woman" Nada and Laras said. And for the first time Nada can smile cheerfully after all this time.

"Yaudah, it's lunchtime I'm the same kids here again. We eat together, already I want to be absent first." said Laras hugged tightly Nada for a moment and stepped away.

The solemn ward of the mother gave birth quite crowded, so Laras could not leave her duties too long. A small smiling tone looked at the back of Laras who was stepping away.

He never regretted his decision to take care of his little family and leave his job.

All he regretted was, his inability to fight the person who had been wronged to him. And to have to drag his two children into this problem.
