Light Warriors
Section 15

Something is different about this Saturday.

All students in the school do not carry textbooks, but carry various cleaning equipment, such as brooms, buckets, and others.

Today, the school has guests from Malaysia. Charity, a social and humanitarian organization with offices in Kuala Lumpur.  They held socialization by visiting schools in various regions in Indonesia as a form of cooperation between the Indonesian and Malaysian governments in the social and humanitarian fields.

All teaching and learning activities are eliminated for a day.  Instead, the entire student was deployed towards a river not far from the school.  The river was very dirty and filled with garbage and wild plants.

Rumi and all the other students, as well as some teachers, entered the river with cleaning tools to clean all the garbage and wild plants.  As a result, after the service work was completed, the river flow seemed more smooth and clear.  All activities of the day were covered by print and electronic media in Surabaya.

After the activity ended, all the students were getting ready to go home.  Of course they're happy. Because that day, they came home earlier than usual.  Suddenly Rumi was visited by Mr. Suyadi.

"Mi, you don't go home yet" he said.

"Lho, what's up, sir ?"

"Follow talking to our guests from Malaysia. Representing our class. Pretty Mi, tomorrow you can get in the paper."

Rumi looks groggy. " But what should I say, sir? "

"Already, Mi. You just come along. "

"But I'm not ready, sir."

"Come on, come along. Nothing to admit." Mr. Suyadi was a little pushy.  He pulls Rumi's arm and takes her to the meeting room.

Inside the meeting room, there were several other students.  There, there was Pak Tirto, Rumi's principal, two guests from Malaysia, a journalist from print media, and another journalist from electronic media.

The two guests, a woman in Malaysian brackets, were about 54 years old.  Her name is Mrs Hanizah. His face looked friendly and cheerful. The other man, the same age as Mrs Hanizah, is Mr. David. The two of them were the husband and wife of the leader of the Charity organization.

Puan in Malay means "lady". While Mrik in Malay means "father".

"Our vision and mission is to instill the realization that we are human, social beings in need of one another" said Mr. David with his distinctive sentient logic. He speaks a mixed Indonesian and Malay language, occasionally interspersed with English.

"We must learn to empathize with each other. Feel the suffering of one human being with another human being. And this feeling of empathy needs to be instilled as early as possible into the younger generation."

That is why we visit various countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and America. Visiting schools. To hold cooperation with the government in various countries," added Mrs Hanizah.

"We give awards to young people who have done something for humanity, including scholarships."

"How do I join this Charity organization? " ask a journalist.

"It's easy" replied Mr. David. "Work for humanity. Do simple, but routine things. Such as helping the poor, teaching voluntarily, helping victims of natural disasters, cleaning places of worship, and much more. Make a report accompanied by photos of each of your activities. We will give you value and appreciation. "

"You have to say something to those two Malaysians." Teja, suddenly appeared.

"Huh? What should I tell them?"

"Gold opportunity? What chance?"

"Secret, spoiled child. You will know for yourself."

"Yes, yeah, yeah. Just think it's the same as you."

After the event in the meeting room was over, all the students rushed out of the room.

Mr. David and Mrs Hanizah are still talking to Mr. Tirto.

Rumi ventured to approach them.

"Excuse me, "he said shyly "I am Rumi. Can I tell you something? "

Mrs Hanizah and Mrs David smiled.  So did Mr. Tirto.

"Your name is good, " said Mrs Hanizah.

"Like the name of a famous Sufi, Jalaludiin Rumi. "

"What do you want to tell me? " Sir David asked.

"Look, I met an old woman and her husband who is also old.Namea Ibu Ismunah and Mr. Min. Conditions concern.

Mr. Min is suffering from an illness, there is a lump on his neck. But they have no cost for treatment. They also have no place to live. They lived in their stalls which were very small and narrow.

If Mr. Min sleeps in a kiosk, Ibu Ismunah is forced to sleep on the side of the road with a makeshift bed. If it rains, they are forced to ride in the stall next to it to just shelter. "

Mrs Hanizah and Mr. David listened to Rumi's story enthusiastically.

"Rumi, will you not take us to Ibu Ismunah and Mr Min's kiosk? " ask Mrs Hanizah.

Rumi smiled and nodded her head. "Yes." Yeah."

"Good, " replied Mr. David.

"Hmm..sorry, Mr and Mrs are you in no hurry to return to Malaysia? " ask Mr. Tirto.

"We're still here until tomorrow" replied Mr. David.  "Tomorrow, at three in the afternoon, we just returned to Kuala Lumpur. "

"Well, then, how about we go to Ibu Ismunah and Pak Min's kiosk by school car? " ask Mr. Tirto.

"All right, " replied Mr. David. " Ride anything that is important up to the goal. "

"Rumi, you come with us, yes, " said Mr. Tirto.

"Ready, sir, "Rumi answered.  His heart is so happy today.
