One day, he was laid off by the electronics company he worked for. The reason is that there is a reduction in the number of employees.
Their families no one wants to care. Unable to pay for the rented house, the family, Father, Mother, Rumi, and Sham, were evicted by the owner of the rented house.
They moved to a small boarding room in the Wonokromo area, in a very narrow village. There is only one room for four to live in, with a shared bathroom with the rest of the boarding house. Between Rumi and Syam bedding with Father and Mother bedding is only separated by a closet.
Ever since I quit my job, I look like a confused person. Not long after, I fell ill. Half of his body could not be moved.
Unable to afford the school fees, one of the twins was forced to drop out of school.
Syam. He dropped out of school and worked as a building clerk. This hard work must be done to meet the needs of the family.
Rumi remains in school. Because according to Mother, if one of her children is there to continue school, there is at least hope of a change in fate for their families in the future.
As Rumi's school fees have not been paid for several months, Rumi is forced to borrow money from Jaka, her classmate.
Jaka is the richest kid in school. He is the only child of a famous businessman in Surabaya. He was very spoiled by both his parents. Since Rumi has not been able to pay off the debt, Jaka and his friends drag Rumi into the school warehouse and beat her to a pulp.
That night, when everyone was asleep, Rumi woke up. Trickering, he got up and opened the closet that separated his bed and his brother, with the bedding of his parents. The wounds all over his body still felt excruciating.
Take a diary in the closet. Rumi's body looked thin and not muscular. Unlike the body of Sham which is more sturdy and busty field. Often he feels inferior to his body shape. He thought, how can he have a good body shape like his twin brother?
Even so, Rumi could see the Angel of Light. Every time he closed his eyes, the Angel of Light appeared. Often white or yellow. And the Angel of Light could speak. However, only Rumi himself could speak to the Angel of Light, without being heard by others.
The mysterious Angel of Light escorted her since she was a baby, following her wherever she went. And every time Rumi is bullied by her friends, the Angel of Light always tells Rumi not to reciprocate the treatment of her friends. A crime should not be repaid with a crime either. Dirty floors should not be cleaned with a dirty cloth. But clean it with a clean cloth. Fight darkness with light. Conquer evil with love. That was what the mysterious Angel of Light often said.
Rumi gave him the name Teja. Actually, the angel had no name. Just to make it easier for Rumi to call him.
Indeed, the Angel of Light is a secret portal to penetrate the infinite Center of the Universe's intelligence, a kind of library in the light realm that contains all the knowledge and events that exist in the universe.
Even so, Teja greatly appreciates every process experienced by the Soul of Rumi to grow. If he immediately gave Rumi a favor, Rumi's soul would never learn from the process. He did not want Rumi to always depend on him.
Occasionally, Teja did not appear even though Rumi closed his eyes and called out to him many times. Often Teja also deliberately brought Rumi to a problem, then gave instructions and a lesson after letting Rumi solve the problem himself.
He deliberately does not help whenever Rumi is beaten by his friends. For, he knew, though bitter, that it would provide many life lessons for the Soul of Rumi.
Teja advised Rumi, so that his ability to see Angels should not be known by anyone, except to fellow people who can see Angels like him.
Teja also always reminds Rumi not to fall into arrogance. If that happens, Teja will disappear. Similarly, if Rumi returned the mistreatment of others with ugliness, even if only saying "ah", Teja would not be willing to meet him. Rumi also responded.
When she was only a few months old, Rumi was able to speak a word and call her parents' names.
Meanwhile, like babies in general, Syam can only cry. When he turned one year old, Rumi was already interested in books and could name the names of the pictures in the book appropriately, without anyone teaching. Actually, Teja taught him.
At the age of two, he was able to read, while Syam still did not read smoothly until the second grade of Elementary School, until he threatened not to go up to class. By the age of three, his ability to count developed rapidly.
The drawback, Rumi is often bored with his daily routine. He was also bored with his school lessons. He prefers to be alone. Observing the surrounding environment. Watching the rain. The layman thought it was daydreaming.
Unlike Syam, Rumi's feelings are more easily touched. It is very easy to stumble and shed tears.
Rumi earned the nickname "Sleeping Professor", as he often closed his eyes for a long time when he talked to Teja. The other children thought he was asleep, but he was not. And when he opened his eyes, Rumi always got the smart solutions of every problem, including finding ways to quickly solve the tasks of physics, mathematics, and chemistry.
Almost every night, Teja told her to write a poem. Just by writing, all the messages from the light realm to mankind can be conveyed. And in that way, the earth will survive the destruction.
However, in the mind of a teenager, Rumi had yet to understand all of that. He does not understand his mission. He did not yet understand how important his poems were to the earth. He simply carried out what Teja ordered without protest.
Rumi started writing what Teja said. His hand moved by itself without him being able to control it, until he arrived when he set the point at the end of his poem. Rumi fell asleep too.
