Long Journey of Tough Women
106. Gail's Promise

Promise if you can keep it, and stop making promises if you don't know whether to keep your promises. Because sometimes the lips are easier to say a promise when pressed by a condition. Eda Sally

"Look! Cease crying. Grandma won't leave you alone. Grandma knows what you're thinking, and grandma will help you as much as she can to take care of your son."

"Never think of rejecting it in your heart, because rejection will make you more depressed, and it will also put psychic pressure on your fetus."

"Grandmother does not want your child to grow in pressure. About your husband, we'll think of a way you can meet." Grandma Tati spoke at length.

"But I wasn't ready to meet her and wasn't ready to tell her about my pregnancy, grandma!" Yuana.

"It's okay if you're not ready. You don't have to tell him now. Wait until your heart is ready. And most importantly, you should be able to accept yourself, let alone your fetus. Remember that! He's never wrong. Don't reject it once! Do you understand?"

Yuana just nodded her head at Tati's grandmother's advice. He did not mean to reject his son, but the conditions that made him feel unprepared to accept the presence of a child in his life.

What if my son is big and people ask about his father. What should I answer? My son will definitely be bullied for not having a father, and I don't want that to happen. I don't want my son to grow up under pressure. Uh! Suppose you knew I was carrying your child! What can I expect now? You are now the husband of people, and I could not have expected you to know me and my son.

"Why you?" Tanya Gail shook Yuana's body because since then Yuana just hid her face behind a pillow and cried.

"Wakeup! Don't be sad anymore. I'm not gonna let you take care of that kid alone. I will always be there for you and your son!"

"Don't think of anything. I already consider you like my sister. So I'm not gonna let anyone put you and your son down. From now on, your son is my son too. Don't be afraid." Gail said all of that so smoothly.

Yuana slowly sat down to hear what Gail said, and wiped away her tears. He looked alternately at Gail and Tati's grandmother

"Are you aware of what you're saying? You're too young Gail. Don't sacrifice your life and your future just to do something silly. You think people will believe just hearing your confession that it's your son at your young age?" Yuana chimed in on Gail's words.

"Have you forgotten that we're in London? Don't compare life in London to life in Indonesia. Getting married at such a young age now in London is a common thing for my sister."

"But I don't want to marry you. I don't want to do that crazy thing. I don't want to make a wedding vow more than once. Because for me marriage can only happen once in a lifetime." Yuana responds to Gail's words.

"Who wants to marry? Oi! I already consider you like my own sister. I'll only help you take care of your son, lest you be ostracized. I don't mind your son calling me dady. Because I want him to feel the presence of a father since he was a child."

"I don't want your son to grow up not getting a father's affection. My intention is only to help you. So don't think of anything. Focus on taking good care of her from now on." Obviously Gail is long.

"Yes! Grandma agreed with what Gail said. You need a man for the growth and development of your child, so that he does not experience psychic pressure. Gail may be childish sometimes, but she's reliable."

"Let him accompany you, because you definitely need someone who will take you to check the contents and more. So inevitably, what Gail said you need to think." Tati's grandmother who had been silent had joined Yuana and Gail's conversation.

"But I don't want people to take things for granted or sneer at what Gail is doing. I'm afraid Gail will be depressed just for wanting to help me."

"Hey! I just don't care about it, why do you care?" Gail asked Yuana.

"Because I care about your future."

"I knew. I'm certainly going to find a wife. But before that happens, I want to see you and your son happy and well. Anyway I haven't thought about marriage yet, because I still want to work and pursue a career."

"So you purposely used me to teach you? Then I won't want you to take care of me and my son." Yuana pretended to be angry.

"Haha. Don't be angry just yet. Even though you are not pregnant, I intend to study. From tomorrow I will also apply in your office, so that I can take care of you and can learn how to work in the office with professionals like my beautiful sister." Gail said as she ruffled Yuana's hair.

"Tomorrow?" Yuana asked in disbelief.

"Yes! Tomorrow. I told Mr. Bert Conan that, and he agreed that I could help you and accompany you if there's any business outside the office because Mr. Bert sometimes can't accompany you on business."

Yuana and Tati's grandmother just gawked at what Gail said.

"Why don't you just work in your dad's office?" Asked Yuana astonished.

"It was. But ever since you've been here, I've wanted an office with you to beat up any man who dares to approach my sister."

"Curtain! Do you think you'd look cool if you did that?" Tati's grandmother sneered at Gail.

"Not so, grandma! But all for Yuana's sake. Didn't grandma realize that my sister was too pretty? Didn't grandma realize that a lot of men were holding back at the office to tease her?"

"Grandmother is aware of that. But with Yuana's position in his office, one wouldn't dare to tease her. Because if they dare to do that, then their position will be threatened."

"What about outside the office?" Ask Gail not to lose.

"That's what grandma thinks." Reply grandma Tati honestly.

"Well! If grandma knows, don't protest and let me do what I'm thinking."

"So, from now on don't worry about the father of your baby. I will always be with you. Whatever you need, don't forget to tell me. If you crave and want to eat something, even if it's midnight, I'll go find it."

"I will do anything to make my niece grow up well, healthy, and certainly smart like her mommy. So, do not hesitate if you want something. Ok?"
