As a college boy with student duties, the money I earned was only enough to eat and buy daily necessities.
not ungrateful but sometimes in a certain month at the beginning of the lecture period the allowance given is very fitting without giving the slightest residual for other things, therefore, I decided to work side by side on Tuesday and Wednesday after the end of the lecture hours and on weekends.
aq got a job at a cafe not far from campus and downtown through recommendations for side jobs on campus.
our campus does provide the opportunity to work side by side for students who want to earn a little extra pocket money, usually they work together with several cafes, such as, restaurants or supermarkets or grocery stores that require non-permanent employees and will place job advertisements on special boards to find part-time work.
aq felt lucky to get a chance at the Luna Cafe where I worked part-time. Mr. Peter the owner of Cafe Luna was very good to all staff including myself, he often asked me to work more so that we could get extra money.we were paid 5 dollars per hour, he said, it is not in accordance with the salary standards in our area but it is allowed because we are freelancers who come from campus so there are no contracts and rules that are too rigid for our work.
aq usually works between 5 - 6 hours on tuesday and Wednesday. for Friday and Saturday weekends aq usually work 8 - 10 hours because of the state of the cafe is quite rame and also the short material on Friday lectures provide the opportunity to work longer in the cafe, in addition, on Saturdays and Sundays, our campus does not hold lectures, only a few light activities that are still related to courses or casual events held by student associations.
today is Friday, my last course ends in 15 minutes.Look at the clock in my left hand, at 11:55 then aq still have a little time to go home and shower before leaving for Cafe Luna and work.
finally, the bell that marks the lecture time has ended ringing loudly, everyone is busy cleaning up the book and all the lecture equipment, our lecturer said happy weekend and advised us to always keep safety on weekends while some people had darted out of class before he finished his sentence.
aq was ready to leave until I felt someone touch my shoulder from behind, when I looked I saw it was Doni
"Hi Mei are you busy this weekend" Doni
"eehhmm as usual aq should work" aq
"what's wrong don, something important" aq
"no, just ask. I'm actually going to celebrate my birthday tomorrow, so if it's not too busy can you come" Doni
"wow seems like fun, is this a party of the upper class" aq while glancing teasing him

"ok, enjoy the weekend" Doni
"you too..!!!" aq while rushing out of our classroom to immediately go home and take a shower.
