aq arrived at Cafe Luna at 13:05 while the cafe was still not many visitors, there are still 25 minutes left before my working hours began. aq walked to the staff room and picked up a special apron that was reserved for us cafe waiters. after putting up the apron and making sure my appearance then aq rushed to the front of the cafe where aq is in charge of serving the guests who spend time to eat or just drink coffee while talking. today is like a typical day working on the weekend, I tied my curly hair so as not to disturb me at work and I rubbed a thin pink lipstick so as not to be too flashy and make my face look fresher, "aq ready to fight" I said in my heart.
when I got to the service area I saw Mr. Peter was standing at the checkout and talking to one of my part-time staffers, Janet. I decided to approach and greet the two of them before starting work even though I actually still have 15 minutes to relax.
"good after Mr. Peter, hi Janet, how are you today" I said
"oh hi girl in may you finally come, we're waiting for your presence" Mr. Peter, sir,
he always called me by the name of the girl in May or May Girl who sounded like My Girl, and aq happy with the call because to me he was like a father figure I never had.
"hi may, I am good.what about yourself" Janet
"I am good, can't wait to rock and roll" I replied as I rang.
they both laughed almost at the same time hearing my answer, we knew that on a Friday at the weekend the visitors of Cafe Luna would increase than usual, although sometimes tiring but we are always happy if many people visit Cafe Luna rather than lonely and we become bored.
There have been several tables filled by customers who order lunch, it looks like they have finished eating and wait a little time for a dessert that is a little sweet accompanied by coffee or tea. Mr. Peter after explaining a few points about our work he went back to the cashier and kitchen area to make sure everything was ready by the time a wave of customers arrived.
without feeling it has been almost 1 and a half hours we work and the state of the cafe has started rame filled with customers who just returned from work and some students who came to spend time chatting with friends while enjoy sweet dishes and coffee or tea.
aq recognized some of them because they were also on campus with me, I told them how they should be and started handing out the food menu so they could choose what they wanted to order, aq left them with a menu and promised to come back 5 minutes later to take back their meal order and they agreed to it.
at the time when the situation was almost out of my control and Janet came 2 super heroes of our life savior. Jack and Sam were regulars at Cafe Luna knowing that we were overwhelmed by the guests and their orders quickly plunged into the service area to help us. finally aq and Janet can breathe a little relieved.
"how are you may girl" said Jack with a big smile
"you are late, you are late" I said as I glared and pouted pretending to be annoyed at the two of them
they laughed at me while hearing my protest
"we were on purpose because we like to see you angry and glaring with your beautiful eyes" Sam said chiming in on my angry temple attitude.
finally we laughed together while running a small run between the customer's desk.
