CHAPTER 42. GIVE BIRTH

A few hours later...

The opening is complete, Kanaya is ready to give birth to her baby.

In accordance with the instructions given by the doctor, all his strength Kanaya pushed with all her strength to get her baby out. However, in his first attempt he had not succeeded in getting his baby out.

Kanaya gathered all her energy, tightly grasping Vino's hand. Kanaya breathed as much as possible and exhaled slowly, then with all her strength pushed back her pelvis.

It was amazing process after process that Kanaya went through. With his own eyes, Keenan witnessed how Kanaya struggled to exert all her effort and energy giving birth to their children.

Kanaya's breath gasping after her struggle gave birth to the baby. He seemed unable to speak and could only smile a little.

"Congratulations, sir, ma'am, your baby's a girl." Speak to the doctor who helped deliver Kanaya.

Keenan and Kanaya simultaneously looked at the doctor and thanked him, then moved to look at the nurse who was holding their baby.

"Kanaya, look at our son, he's so funny." Said Keenan happily while peeping the back of his wife's hand.

Kanaya simply responded with a smile. His breathing is still panting after the labor process through which he passed.

Until the sisters holding their babies approached for early breastfeeding initiation, Keenan slightly moved away from his wife to make room for the sisters.

"Please help, sir, to get the clothes off of Kanaya's mother's boss." Said the nurse.

Keenan nodded enthusiastically then immediately undressed Tania's superior at the sister's command. And after it opened, the nurse immediately put the baby on his mother's chest.

Early Breastfeeding Initiation or more often referred to briefly as IMD, is the beginning of early breastfeeding carried out with the baby's own efforts immediately after birth. IMD can be done by placing the baby in a prone position on the mother's chest or abdomen without being obstructed by a cloth, for at least one hour starting immediately after the baby is born. Thus there is direct contact between the baby's skin and the mother's skin (skin-to-skin contact), so naturally the baby will begin to actively crawl to find the source of his life from the mother.

During the process of initiating early breastfeeding, some of her other sisters clean Kanaya's birth canal.

"This "direct contact between the baby's skin and the mother's skin immediately after birth has a beneficial impact on both. In addition to creating a bond of affection between mother and baby from the beginning of life, the mother's body temperature will naturally provide warmth for the baby. Keenan and Kanaya smiled and once again thanked the doctor who helped Kanaya deliver the birth.

A few moments later, after the IMD process is completed, the baby is taken back by the nurse to be cleaned, as well as Kanaya will be in the process of several examinations after delivery. Meanwhile Keenan came out of the maternity room to meet his father and mother who were waiting outside.
