Ch. 38

Tom was shocked when he saw a man who was no longer young enter his room. Since when did the old man have a hospital ? tom asked in his heart.

The man was Samuel Parera who was none other than Tom's real father. Tom's father only owned a property and hospitality business.

"What purpose do you want to meet me for ?" tom asked with a cold voice and a flat face. Tom didn't even allow his guests to sit down first.

Samuel smiled bitterly at the attitude of his son who seemed not to know him. Tom never considered Samuel his father. What else after his mother died.

Samuel sat his body, though he was not told.

"Tom, papa .."

"If there's nothing important to talk about please come out." Tom cut Samuel's words.

Tom hated to hear Samuel call himself papa. For Tom, he doesn't have a papa. If Tom finds out who came to see him is Samuel, Tom will not allow Lucy to tell him to come in.

For many years Samuel never came to see him again. Tom thought the old man had given up and had forgotten his wish.

"Please give papa a chance" Samuel said in an imploring tone and he ignored Tom's words telling him to come out.

Tom snorted not liking to see Samuel pleading like that. Tom stood up from his seat and walked straight to the exit.

"Tom wait !" Samuel tries to keep Tom from leaving.

"There's something important you want to talk about" Samuel said. But Tom still walked out of his room without a hint of poking, said his father.

Yeah, that's how Tom has been all along. If Samuel does not go, he will go. So Samuel did not get a chance to talk to his son.

Samuel stepped inside his house. He was immediately welcomed by his wife.

"Didn't it work anymore ?" widya asked who saw her husband's face glum. Samuel shook his head weakly.

"Did you tell me about his wife ?" ask Widya again.

"Have you told Tom that Alula is here ?" widya asked as soon as they entered the room.

Samuel sighed while sitting his body on the bed. Boro-boro wants to tell Tom about Alula, just to talk Tom doesn't give Samuel a chance.

"He won't even let me talk" replied Samuel, to Widya's disappointment.

Widya had always hoped that her husband's son would stay with them. Because Widya did not have the opportunity to give birth to children after her womb was lifted. Widya loves Tom even though it is not from her own flesh and blood. Tom hates Samuel and does not even consider him his father.

There's been a lot of ways they've done to melt Tom's heart. They had to use Alula.

"What about Alula ?" widya asked who could not bear to see Alula daydreaming every day.

"Alula must have missed her husband so much" Widya said sadly.

"I don't think so."

Widya frowned hearing Samuel's words.

"What do you mean ?" if it wasn't for Tom, then what would Alula think.

"Maybe their relationship is in trouble or they're fighting" Samuel guessed.

Not without reason Samuel said so . Because when the man kidnapped Alula, the woman was carrying an ATM Card and ID card in her pocket. If Alula just wants to walk in the hospital park why should I bring it.

Samuel suspects that Alula wanted to escape from the hospital or from Tom.

"Did Alula not tell you anything ?" Samuel asked his wife.

"She's a very secretive girl" Widya replied.

Widya has tried several times to approach Alula so that she would share her story with her. But, Alula just said she was fine. And every time Widya asks about the father of the baby she contains, Alula just replies with a smile. Widya did not want to force Alula too much. He is afraid that Alula will make him uncomfortable and will be more closed to him. So Widya will find out patiently and slowly.
