39. Fal and Narz

Fal woke up from his sleep, he looked around. He remembered, yesterday he fell asleep in the living room, who moved himself to the room?

The door opened, Narz came with bread, "You're up?" Narz smiled.

Fal nodded, he saw the bread Narz was carrying, his stomach was ringing with hunger.

Narz gave the bread to Fal, "Eat it."

Fal took the bread, and he ate it.

"How old are you?" Ask Narz.

"12 years." Fal.

Narz was surprised, '12 years? But he looks like he's 10.'

"Sister." Calling Fal, he looked at Narz, "Why is big brother being nice to me?" Ask Fal.

"Why are you asking like that?" Ask Narz. The reason Narz was being nice to Fal was because when he saw Fal, he remembered him. He was also an orphan, he often starved, which is why he stole to be able to eat. Until someone came to save him.

Fal lowered his head, "After the death of my father and mother, the townspeople took everything from me, money, fields, and houses. In fact, the only person who was nice to me was kicked out of this town."

Narz stroked Fal's head, "You're great at staying, Fal." Narz smiled, 'If it were me, I would have killed those people.' Narz continued inwardly.

Narz, Axena, Alaya and Rin escape from the house, Fal follows the four of them.

The residents of the city smiled at the four people who were their saviors. But, their smiles disappeared upon seeing Fal.

They looked at Fal with a look of hate. Fal was terrified to see the gazes on the residents, he was hiding behind Narz.

Narz stroked Fal's head, Fal saw Narz, Narz smiled at him.

Narz looked back at the townspeople, "Thank you for giving us a place to stay for a while, soon we'll be gone." Narz.

Rin and Alaya are surprised to hear Narz's words, "Tung–" Axena looks intently at Rin and Alaya, making both of them silent.

The townspeople were shocked to hear Narz say, they could not let him. If Narz leaves, then who will give them more food? They had spent all of Fal's possessions in order to survive all this time, now that they had no money left, the food supply was already depleted. At least, if those people were to leave this city, they would have to take all the money first.

"Wait a minute, wouldn't you rather just stay here first? We haven't even returned your kindness." The mayor's trying to convince Fal.

Alaya understands Narz's plan, Narz wants to make the townspeople dependent on him, so that they can stay in the city and hide from the Emperor.

"After some thought, the mayor's words have a point." Alaya.

"Right, stay here for a while." Mayor.

"Alright, after all my friends must also still be exhausted, we will stay for 1 day here, tomorrow we will go." Narz smiled.

Alaya and Rin heaved a sigh of relief, but they hoped that 1 day was enough to wait for the order from their master.

The mayor smiled in satisfaction, this way he and the residents would steal Narz, Axena, Alaya and Rin's money at midnight, then let them go tomorrow. With that money, they might be able to survive for the next few months.

The mayor and the townspeople stared intently at Fal, trying to stop Fal from telling Narz and the others.

Narz understood Fal's intentions, he just smiled at Fal to calm Fal down.

Fal didn't understand Narz's smile, he was worried about Narz.

"You stay in that house until you're gone." The mayor smiled.

"Yes, thank you." Narz.

The mayor glanced at Fal, Fal immediately hiding behind Narz. "Fal, come here." Mayor.

Fal was trembling in fear, he remained hiding behind Narz.

Narz stroked Fal's head to calm him down, "Mayor, can I take this child? I want to make him my student." Narz smiled.

The mayor was surprised to hear Narz say, "Murid?"

"Yes, his parents have died, therefore as mayor of this city, I ask your permission." Narz.

The mayor sees Fal, it's not a bad idea to hand Fal over to Narz. If Fal remained in that city, he could take all of his possessions back.

The mayor smiled, "Of course I can, I'm happy if Fal can be happy. But before that, can I talk to Fal?"

Fal was surprised to hear the mayor's words, talking to him? More precisely, the mayor must have wanted to threaten him. He was afraid of the mayor and the townspeople.

"Of course you can." Narz.

Fal was more frightened, he pulled Narz's clothes, to let him know if he didn't want to talk to the mayor.

"But I want to listen to your conversation." Narz said, "From now on, my student is trembling, maybe he's afraid of you."

"T-Fear of me? Where is possible.." Mayor.

"Maybe it's because your face is creepy, usually the kids are afraid of creepy things." Narz smiled.

Axena, Alaya and Rin try to hold back their laughter. Fal was surprised by Narz's bravery.

The mayor clenched his hands, 'Fuck you! Just look at tomorrow! You will cry for losing all your money!' Inner mayor.

"In that case, it's best not to." Mayor. The mayor turned around, he left.

The townspeople also left from there, not forgetting when they were leaving, they looked at Fal with a cold gaze.

After everything left, Alaya and Rin's laughter broke. While Axena still held back her laughter.

Narz looked at Fal, he smiled. Fal was glued, he smiled.
