Sari and the Journey to the East team arrive at the residence of one of the Osing culture. A beautiful and shaded house with wood as the main material and a little modern touch welcome the arrival of Sari and her team.
The face of the middle-aged man wearing Osing traditional clothes seemed to welcome the arrival of Sari.
"Welcome to our hut."
Kang Pur kindly greeted Sari and her team. His wife who wore a black kebaya typical of Osing women in general also came out to welcome the arrival of the Journey to the East team.
The sun had already slipped on the western horizon and left a tinge of orange in the sky as the coverage team prepared coverage support equipment. Sari assisted Rara to give direction to Kang Pur and his wife about the question material.
Sari takes the best angle so that the lighting can be absorbed well and does not cause feedback on the camera. Every now and then Sari glanced at Rara who looked riled up as the night began to creep in replacing the light with darkness.
"You why Ra?"
"My body's starting to get sick Sar."
"For dapet right? Maybe the effect of that." inquired Sari.
"Yes, maybe." Rara touched her stiff neck. Every now and then he hissed as if he felt a stifled pain.
Sari noticed her best friend, "Mending you rest deh Ra, this is only the first day of coverage you know. Take care of your health."
Sari's hand touched Rara's forehead, but then Rara brushed it off as if she didn't want Sari to notice herself. Rara leaves Sari.
It's cold, this is Rara just out of the refrigerator how? The feeling of the weather was very hot, but he did not sweat at all.
Bagas who saw that took the initiative to approach Sari. "Why Sar? What's the same with Rara?" whispered slowly.
"You know, lately Rara's changed. Weird." Sari answered while tidying up the wires blocking the road.
"Since lunch?" Bagas tried to guess.
"Yes, since then. He changed completely, didn't know why but I suspect this had something to do with Atikah and the two men who always followed behind him, already on their bodyguard cake "
"Well, I feel that way too, eh but where are they?! From the nyampe here I don't see the three of them." Bagas began to be curious about the absence of the three members of the Lingga pack.
"Ehm, where are they too? Mr. Lingga said anyway, they will be followed but already this hour is still not look like it either."
"Early walk first Sar, dah justin aja aja that is important our core team only. We're all ready, right?" ask Bagas again.
"Hmm, already ... out of magrib we start a record so not kemaleman. Lighting is done, right?!"
"Udah, it's Doni who takes care of everything. Angle you fit him!"
"Yes, that's it. Everyone is ready to take it."
The voice of the Maghrib adhan roared, Sari and his team performed congregational prayers first. At about seven o'clock in the evening, shooting began. Sari was on the outside side of the camera giving a question to Kang Pur.
"Can you explain to us earlier Kang, the origin of the Osing tribe itself?" Sari's voice sounded from behind the screen.
"So this is the Osing Tribe of the indigenous people of Banyuwangi or also referred to as Laros (acronym of Lare Osing) or Wong Blambangan."
"The former Osing tribe was the royal servant of Majapahit. When the Majapahit kingdom was attacked they fled to Bali, Tengger, and Banyuwangi."
"Therein they made the Blambangan Kingdom. That is why it is often called Banyuwangi Blambangan city."
Kang Pur explained the origin of the Osing tribe with good intonation so that Bagas did not need to re-take.
Majapahit, Blambangan .. Lingga, a remarkable coincidence. Wonder who that phallus is?
Sari's mind wanders and digs into her memories while in another dimension, the banner of Majapahit kingdom against another kingdom. The face of the knight who survived, and .. the oath that was heard in Sari's ear.
Wait, is it possible that Lingga is the knight?
"Sar, next question?"
"Eh, I forgot."
Sari regained her senses and asked her questions again. "How is the fate of the Blambangan kingdom itself Kang?"
"The kingdom of Blambangan much meddled by the VOC on its mass, especially for the succession of the king. Blambangan was destroyed after the war of Puputan Bayu in 1771 between the VOC and the people of Banyuwangi."
"It was the most terrible, most tense and most violent war the VOC had ever fought during its colonization of the archipelago."
Sari recorded an important point of information from Kang Pur. "Events 98, what was the impact on the Osing tribe itself Kang?"
Kang Pur seemed to be sighing heavily, remembering that event was like opening an old wound back. The bloody events of Santet 1998 successfully changed the image of the city of Banyuwangi into a terrible city of Santet.
"Events 98, it was a tragedy that really hurt us. The alleged existence of political games also sticking, but I always consider it as a form of misunderstanding in understanding the art of culture."
"I mean Kang?"
"People misinterpret the Osing culture with evil witchcraft. Santet is considered to harm others, whereas according to our understanding the witchcraft is different from magic."
"Their?"
"In our culture everything is considered fine and it has become part of the life of the people of Banyuwangi. Santet is more functioned as compassion but magic is more inclined to the science of harming and killing."
"So according to the culture of the Osing santet is good?"
"Not so well, in culture we know 4 types of witchcraft. White sanset for healing, red and yellow for compassion and soul mate searching, and lastly black for harming people."
"If white and black can only be controlled by certain people then red and yellow can be studied by other Osing people."
"So magic is synonymous with black magic in the understanding of the Osing tribe?"
"It's very fine. The tragedy of 98 had a lot of bad effects for the people of Banyuwangi. Fear, psychological trauma, economic downturn, and of course bad labeling for us in Banyuwangi."
"But thank God we can rise again from those dark times even though labeling as a city of witchcraft remains attached."
Interviews revolve around the unique Osing society. Several times the re-take must be done because of noise interference from outside the shooting location.
The more night the disturbance gets stronger. Sari can feel an unusual disturbance. More than just a human distraction.
"Sari ..." a gentle greeting accompanied by a small gust of wind hit his face.
"Duh, what else is this?!" muttered Sari annoyed.
Sari monitored the surroundings, she did not see anything as far as her eyes could see. "Who greeted me?"
Sari asked Bagas to take his place. "Where are you going?"
"In a moment, I'm really sealing her back." replied Sari followed by an unusual look from Bagas. He knew Sari felt something strange again.
Sari walked a bit away from the filming location. The greeting came again to him, but this time accompanied by the presence of a beautiful figure who grinned at him.
"Sari .. glad to meet you here."
"Who are you? Why do you know me?" Sari was astonished because that figure could know her.
The woman who was not even on the ground was circling Sari with a small laugh, and stopped right in front of Sari's face.
"You will know me in due time ... for now, I can only watch over you but either tomorrow when Lingga goes and is off guard .. I will take you with me. in eternity."
