''Oh my goodness, Ma'am. This apartment what a palace. The place is wider than where I lived before, many times even the breadth." Mira giggles in awe as she enters her new residence.
His eyes looked around, all the furniture that was there looked luxurious. And he could occupy this place for free without thinking about the monthly rent anymore.
''Suppose I was told to rent. Perhaps, his rent per month was equivalent to my salary for three months."
''Only two-story apartments, let alone the main house. Must be a floor with a yard the size of an airfield."
Maura shook her head at the girl's chattering.
''Until when are you going to admire this place, Mir?"
''Until I am satisfied, Ma'am," Mira replied still with her activities.
''Ma'am, I'd like to take a look at the room on the second floor."
''Yeah, yeah...."
''Where do you want to put your stuff, Miss?" asked the young man who had brought Maura's luggage.
''Put it there. I'll arrange it myself."
''Oh my goodness, his looks," said Mira with sparkling eyes.
He stared intently at one of the aides Bram had assigned to look after Maura.
''Mira, you go up! Don't be ashamed," Maura said with firmness to the girl.
''I admire only the most beautiful creation of Almighty God."
Feeling in vain to ban his best friend, Maura changed to command his aide. ''You can get out, your job is done. Later, if I need anything, I'll call you."
''Okay, Miss." The young man looked down respectfully before retreating.
''Well, Ma'am ... I was told to leave, but I wanted acquaintance." Mira was disappointed.
''Don't need to be weird. Now, let's go arrange your things into your room."
''Yeah, yeah...."
Maura was astonished by the behavior of her best friend who was sometimes still like a child. He chose to bring his belongings to a room that was downstairs as his private room.
The loud droughts from the cell phone distracted the girl for a moment. He picked up the call after finding out who contacted him.
''Hallo."
''I came to your house but said your neighbors you've moved. Where did you move, Ra? Why didn't you tell me?"
''Why didn't you cancel your resignation at that time? What do you mean, Ra? You want to stay away from me?"
The successive questions from Emran left Maura at a loss to answer.
''Emran, I can explain everything, but not over the phone. I'm sending you my new address."
''Yes, quickly. I can't wait long" insisted Emran, then shut off the connection unilaterally.
Maura immediately did as the man asked, before he returned to scout himself with his various questions.
...----------------...
Emran immediately clenched tightly onto Maura's body as the girl opened the door. He had already thought a no-no when he did not find Maura in his residence. All sorts of bad thoughts haunted him.
''Thank goodness I found you here."
''Why you?" maura asked puzzled by the position of the body tightly attached to the man's body.
''I'm afraid you're going away from me" he said softly.
''I'm not going anywhere. There's no way I'm going far from here. My family is here.'' Maura broke her embrace, "so throw away your bad thoughts."
''Yuk, comein. It's not good to see people making out in front of the door."
''Don't be weird."
Emran chuckled slightly as he looked at the annoyed face of his puja girl.
''I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you about my move."
''Why didn't you cancel your resignation?" Emran interrupted Maura's words quickly.
''I have a reason, Em."
''You want to stay away from me, that's the reason, '' said Emran upset.
''No, ma'am-it's not like that." Maura immediately denied the man's allegations, however she did not want Emran to misunderstand.
''I was asked to serve in one of his foundations, and I couldn't refuse." The woman tried to give understanding to the man beside her.
''That means you and I will be apart, Maura. Can I not see your face for a day?"
Suddenly, Maura could not help but laugh at Emran's words which she thought were too excessive.
''Is there anything funny until you laugh like that?'' Emran panned dislike the girl in front of him.
''Your face is funny. You do not pantes dreadful, let alone minimal expression so. Not really original, Em," said Maura still with the rest of her laughter.
''R...."
''Yes, what is it?''
''Mama wants to match me with her choice of woman."
Maura was silent for a moment, then forced the corners of her lips together to form a smile.
''Wow, nice, dong. In a moment, you'll be ending your single life." The girl tried to show her excitement, although she had to endure the tightness in her chest.
''This is not the response I expected from you, Ra," Emran said with a disappointed look.
Maura frowned. "meaning?"
''It turns out, I was wrong. I guess you already have feelings for me."
''Tell me the obvious, Emran," Maura protested.
''This is not the response I expect from you, Ra. I was hoping that you would beg me to refuse the match, and then ask me to propose to you immediately."
''Do I deserve that?" Maura asked back.
''Intermediate, my position is nothing to you. I'm not your partner, we don't have a special relationship just as friends, especially your mother also hates me so much, even wants me to stay away from you, Em." The woman spoke with teary eyes, puddles of water seemed to accumulate in both of her eye fertilizers.
''Why are you silent? You can't even answer yourself, can you?" maura asked in disappointment.
''Perhaps, this is one of your mother's attempts to keep you away from me."
''But, Ra ... We can fight together." Emran gently grasped the girl's fingers.
''Accept that match."
''But, Ra...."
''Accept, Em. Don't disappoint your mother, for my sake." Maura let out the ultimate word to persuade the man.
Emran breathed a rough breath, until finally he was just resigned service.
''Alright."
''Rest assured, if we match, there will be a way for us" said Maura accompanied by a genuine smile.
A smile that could make Emran feel calm.
