''Is something troubling you, An?" Maura took the initiative to approach her future husband.
''Nothing, I'm just sleepy. I can't sleep all night. My habit of being in a new place is always like this."
Though not satisfied with the man's answer. However, Maura had no intention of finding out any deeper.
''Later, you can sleep in the car."
There was no response from the man, even if it was just the word 'iya' or a nod.
However, Maura did not want to bother. He chose to join the others.
''Finally my father came too" said Maura when he saw his father walking towards him.
''I'm sorry, I kept you waiting. It's getting late, we better get home."
All seemed to be getting ready, not forgetting they say goodbye to Mahesa and his wife. Yunita again shed tears when she had to let go of her adopted daughter. It is undeniable, after the departure of Maura. The middle-aged woman often feels lonely, even though they still send word by phone.
''Mother, don't cry! Later, I'll cry." Maura gently rubbed the tears flowing down her foster mother's cheeks. His eyes were in tears when he saw the woman's sadness.
''Yes, not anymore." Yunita immediately wiped away the remaining tears on her cheeks, "Go home! If there's time to visit this bundle."
''Yes."
''Bye, Mother..," she said with a wave of her hand.
Yunita returned the wave of the hand with tears streaming down her cheeks. Mahesa immediately clenched her body from the side to calm her.
''Maura!" a man's shout stopped Maura's intention of entering the car.
Alvaro approached his best friend with a breath of terror.
''Fortunately, there was still time. I got something for you. Consider this my wedding gift." The man held out a box to his friend.
After feeling able to control himself, he resumed his speech.
''I'm sorry, I can't attend your show."
Maura looked at her old friend full of haru. Without warning, he immediately hugged the man's body tightly.
''Udah, Ra. Don't dawdle! Your candidate will be jealous" whispered Alvaro.
Hearing that, Maura immediately took off her arms. In any case, he should be able to keep Andrian feeling. He glanced at the man who was right behind him. However, the man did not give any response, instead his face seemed flat.
''I'll go home first.''
''Be careful.''
...----------------...
''Where was the father?" Maura's voice broke the silence of their journey.
In the car only the driver was still awake, while others seemed to close their eyes whether it was asleep or just closed.
''Just calm down" Bram replied briefly.
Maura frowned hearing that answer. "Did anything disturb my mind?"
Bram only silently chose to turn his gaze outward like avoiding his question.
''Sleep on! The journey is still far. I don't want you to be tired."
The woman felt strange about the change in her father's attitude. He wanted to question it, but he stopped. Because it feels not the right time, maybe later when they get home.
He turned to glance at Andrian who was right beside him. The man seemed to be asleep with the earphones stuck to his ears.
''What is it with these two men, why is their attitude suddenly strange? Yesterday's feeling was fine," inner Maura.
Not wanting to take a headache, he chose to close his eyes hoping to sleep like the others.
Bram glanced at his sleeping daughter. Over and over again, a heavy sigh came out of his mouth. His mind was still fixed on what he heard last night.
Last night his eyes could not be closed, rethinking the decision he took spontaneously just because of a momentary emotion. Want to cancel but the event just counts the days. And if he forced, it would definitely hurt many parties including his own daughter. Certainly, Maura would think he was playing with her life.
Because of endless restlessness, early in the morning Bram decided to go to his wife's grave. The same thing he did when he was with Riyana. Every time, he faced the problem of his wife always able to calm his mind with sweet treatment accompanied by a sincere smile.
''If only you were still there, Ri. I'm not gonna be this shady. I'm not going to spend this much for our daughter's life" she whispered inwardly.
