Chapter 3: “Maintenance”
‘I'll kill them both.’

The sound of wind passing through the green trees at that time gave peace to the map that players were passing through to perform various quests theirs. The moving clouds followed the direction of the wind, where the passing birds that occasionally died in the middle of the road because of the grip of the shadow stream seemed to be at a glance visible, coming from the player who killed him.
There are many players who work together to be able to complete the quest quickly, but not a few also decide to complete it themselves. There are also those who just sit pensively on the hill, staring at the vastness of the map that is green as far as the eye can see.
Three players had just entered the map, one of the girls held onto her forehead and rubbed it occasionally. The other two players were busy talking about the quest that would be done together, until finally the three of them decided to form a party together.
The black-haired man in a white pallet named Davis was finished discussing and now he said, “20 birds, 5 deer. I'm sure you two can handle 20 birds. I'll get the deer. Bye-bye.”
“But you can't—“
Davis ran south before Elliot finished speaking.
“—leave us just like that,” continued Elliot in a soft voice. He turned around and found Myra with eyes focused on the panel hovering in front of him, he was smiling to himself and looking like a less sane person. Feeling himself watching, he glanced at Elliot, then glanced back and forth. “Hm? Where's Davis?”
Elliot sighed and turned to walk again, Myra followed him.
Myra’s POV
“So...your ID name is Elliot yes,” my word finally, after 5 minutes of walking without sound. This sculptured man next to me doesn't seem to like talking, even his way of answering a lot with just a nod. I sighed, kicking back the stone that had accompanied my journey to the middle of the map. I think the existence of this stone is better than this blonde guy next to me. ‘Davis where the hell is it?’
What was being sought immediately appeared in my notifications, as well as Elliot's. I think he gave a party message. Elliot and I opened our own panels, reading messages from them.

I pulled both of my eyebrows up, surprised by his question. Why would he ask that? I don't think he noticed it at all.
I propped my left hand up on my waist, with a hint of laughter and a wave of hands I replied, “Ahaha, is that? It's nothing. He really likes it that way. It's usual.” The elusan on my forehead made him glance at me with his eyeball with his blue iris.
He slightly tilted his head as he asked, “Aren't you Red Shadow? You should be stronger than him, right?” A faint ignorant smile appeared from his lips before he finally refocused himself with his floating panel.
Did this stone man just joke?
I looked at him in disbelief, then I said, “You're so funny. Me and Davis? Of course he's stronger than me, I can't even—”
Why... I suddenly thought of something?
“Can't what?”
The grip on my neck I can't let go. His cold eyes scared me to death. Again and again. How many times will he kill me? What do I have to do to make him stop doing this? I'm tormented. What if I run out of pills?

With a single click on my floating panel, as well as a cut of my coin count, the color of my eyes came back green.

“Ready for what?” I asked to go back stupidly. I only realized when I saw Elliot who was ready with his fire shadow on his left palm. With a small pane appearing in his right eye, he was visibly focused when aiming at one of the birds in the sky back then.
Fire shadow blue. It is not strange to see blue. Perhaps that was why he chose the original blue eyes, perfectly matching his character.

I opened my panel and pulled the archery from my item list. Elliot laughed and said, “You're serious? It's just a bird, even its level is much smaller than ours.”
I know, using fire shadow will be easier and faster, let alone the level of this mob seems to be far from me. But I did not hear his words and took the remaining 3 arrows of my farming before.

I gulped when I saw the purple icon next to the bear's blood bar, indicating that the bear was a mini boss. Right, haha. Mini bosses. It would be so easy to defeat him, just look, my arrow just reduced by 0.09% his blood red bar.

I turned to look at Elliot with his panel still open, his hand touching his chin, “Maintenance in a minute. Just log out. What's hard?”

I pulled his sleeve which instantly disappeared in the blink of an eye because his entire body had disappeared in front of me. My shaken face could only be silent as the bear behind me began to approach, along with the sound of an announcement notification that maintenance was about to take place.
