Memoria: Searching for My Memories in the Game!

Memoria: Searching for My Memories in the Game!
Chapter 3: “Maintenance”

‘I'll kill them both.’

^^^*From here, the story will change POV!*^^^

The sound of wind passing through the green trees at that time gave peace to the map that players were passing through to perform various quests theirs. The moving clouds followed the direction of the wind, where the passing birds that occasionally died in the middle of the road because of the grip of the shadow stream seemed to be at a glance visible, coming from the player who killed him.

There are many players who work together to be able to complete the quest quickly, but not a few also decide to complete it themselves. There are also those who just sit pensively on the hill, staring at the vastness of the map that is green as far as the eye can see.

Three players had just entered the map, one of the girls held onto her forehead and rubbed it occasionally. The other two players were busy talking about the quest that would be done together, until finally the three of them decided to form a party together.

The black-haired man in a white pallet named Davis was finished discussing and now he said, “20 birds, 5 deer. I'm sure you two can handle 20 birds. I'll get the deer. Bye-bye.”

“But you can't—“

Davis ran south before Elliot finished speaking.

“—leave us just like that,” continued Elliot in a soft voice. He turned around and found Myra with eyes focused on the panel hovering in front of him, he was smiling to himself and looking like a less sane person. Feeling himself watching, he glanced at Elliot, then glanced back and forth. “Hm? Where's Davis?”

Elliot sighed and turned to walk again, Myra followed him.

Myra’s POV

“So...your ID name is Elliot yes,” my word finally, after 5 minutes of walking without sound. This sculptured man next to me doesn't seem to like talking, even his way of answering a lot with just a nod. I sighed, kicking back the stone that had accompanied my journey to the middle of the map. I think the existence of this stone is better than this blonde guy next to me. Yes, but still, both are just rocks. No one can accompany me. They're just the same.

‘Davis where the hell is it?’

What was being sought immediately appeared in my notifications, as well as Elliot's. I think he gave a party message. Elliot and I opened our own panels, reading messages from them.

‘Oi. I have to go, I have something to finish in the real world.’

’20 birds and 5 deer. I've killed 5 deer, where have you been?’

Ish. He thought it was easy? Me and Elliot were staring at the sky and no birds had appeared yet. I think there's a bug or something.

‘I'll be back by 5pm. Myra, don't die.’

With a little laugh, I closed my panel. Davis is always overrated.

“Why did you let him do that?”

Finally the sculptured man spoke. I had to look at her face with my head slightly raised. Shit, he's so tall.

“Let what? Who?” I answered her question with another question.

But he came back into focus again with his floating panel, and he replied, “Davis. He hurt your forehead, right? Why did you let it?”

I pulled both of my eyebrows up, surprised by his question. Why would he ask that? I don't think he noticed it at all.

I propped my left hand up on my waist, with a hint of laughter and a wave of hands I replied, “Ahaha, is that? It's nothing. He really likes it that way. It's usual.” The elusan on my forehead made him glance at me with his eyeball with his blue iris.

He slightly tilted his head as he asked, “Aren't you Red Shadow? You should be stronger than him, right?” A faint ignorant smile appeared from his lips before he finally refocused himself with his floating panel.

Did this stone man just joke?

I looked at him in disbelief, then I said, “You're so funny. Me and Davis? Of course he's stronger than me, I can't even—”

Why... I suddenly thought of something?

“Can't what?”

The grip on my neck I can't let go. His cold eyes scared me to death. Again and again. How many times will he kill me? What do I have to do to make him stop doing this? I'm tormented. What if I run out of pills?

“So? Are you finally going to pay for what you did?”

My eyes were blurred and I couldn't breathe. But I still try my hardest to be able to reply to his words.

“Ma-die just you k-to hell!”

“Hei, Myra?”

The flick of a finger in front of my face made my life feel like it was coming back after that memory slowly disappeared. Though I thought it was a long time ago, but it can still reappear.

“You why?” Elliot asked who was watching me closely. I felt so strange being noticed like that, I also threw my face away from him. “No. It's nothing,” I replied slowly. “You've found mobs we should kill?” I added, trying to distract him without seeing his face.

He replied with a little voice from inside his throat.

I don't understand, is just saying ‘iya’ is difficult?

I nodded slowly, biting slightly on the inside of my lower lip. It feels a little awward when playing with new players. But I haven't really played like this for a long time. And playing quests? Just be right. What exactly is Davis' plan? Usually we just follow plan Z to deceive people. Whatisthis?

Yeah, but I was curious.

“Ah, but before that.”

“Ya?”

With a slight glance at me, he looked back at the panel and took out some potions in the form of bottles. Is he going to give me something?

“Change the color of your eyes. Looks like you're out of time.”

I blinked my eyes twice, unaware of it. Usually Davis tells me, or if not, there must be a notification about the appearance item that has expired, but what is this?

Busy looking for that notification in my floating panel that I might have missed, my mind was also drifting everywhere. Did Davis say anything about my eyes? Why is this man also warning me because my eyes are red again? Where did my eye's expired appearance notification go?

Suddenly I heard Elliot say, ”Ah, are you looking for a notification huh? I think maintenance will be soon. I usually like it that way, right? You know.. bug.”

“Maintenance?!”

My eyes are wide open to hear it. How can I not remember the schedule? I don't think Davis remembers either, because there's no way he could have just left me.

“See. We found him,” Elliot touched my shoulder, making me a little surprised and forced to come see what he pointed at in the sky. It turns out that the reason the birds did not appear was also definitely due to maintenance in plain sight. Bugs are everywhere.

Stupid timing. Dead is dead. I don't care anymore.

With a single click on my floating panel, as well as a cut of my coin count, the color of my eyes came back green.

“You ready?” Ask.

“Ready for what?” I asked to go back stupidly. I only realized when I saw Elliot who was ready with his fire shadow on his left palm. With a small pane appearing in his right eye, he was visibly focused when aiming at one of the birds in the sky back then.

Fire shadow blue. It is not strange to see blue. Perhaps that was why he chose the original blue eyes, perfectly matching his character.

|Charisma: White Blast |

And with that one spell, a white circle suddenly appeared and gripped the bird until it was seen that the blood panel of the bird was empty. The bird stopped flying and turned into black ash before touching the ground. A 1/20 notification appears on our panel.

“You'll just shut up?”

“Hah? Ah, i-iya.”

I opened my panel and pulled the archery from my item list. Elliot laughed and said, “You're serious? It's just a bird, even its level is much smaller than ours.”

I know, using fire shadow will be easier and faster, let alone the level of this mob seems to be far from me. But I did not hear his words and took the remaining 3 arrows of my farming before.

Ah, I forgot. All my items are at home. This is all that's left.

One. Two…

I had trouble finding the third one. Until finally I seemed to find one was perched on top of a tree branch not far from my previous two shots.

Okay. Three.

| External: Arrow Shots|

I released the three arrows that shot high towards my three targets. The color of the fire shadow black vaguely accompanied it and I cursed inwardly because despite using the arrow it turned out that my shadow color was still visible. Although not very visible. I hope Elliot doesn't see it.

“Black. Lowest level.”

I patted my cheek and closed my eyes.

Ah, goddamn. Just be right.

But the notification satisfies me, because it looks like 3/20 of the birds have been killed. That means all my archery worked! “Yash!” I quietly celebrated with a fist.

“Myra.”

“Ya?”

I turned around and looked at Elliot happily, but he still had a stone face. “One of your archery was not hit. You don't remember one of them being my first result?”

Oh. right too.

After I looked back and made sure, it was true. “Then... where one more—“.

BRUGH!

My question was answered by a loud enough sound not far from us. It made me turn around to find a bear that looked angry because of the arrow stuck in his left ear. Yep, my arrow.

Damnit.

I gulped when I saw the purple icon next to the bear's blood bar, indicating that the bear was a mini boss. Right, haha. Mini bosses. It would be so easy to defeat him, just look, my arrow just reduced by 0.09% his blood red bar.

“Hmm... It looks like he is angry,” Elliot said calmly. “You take yes. I have to go.”

HEH

“Hei-hey! N-it's not that easy! Aren't we a team?!” I said with eyes still staring at the bear, like it was going to disappear in an instant and suddenly it could be next to me to kill me. What else, right? That's the mini boss! It definitely has some weird and amazing tricks and horrors that will kill me quickly!

“El?”

I turned to look at Elliot with his panel still open, his hand touching his chin, “Maintenance in a minute. Just log out. What's hard?”

“T-no! Kill him together before log out okay? We'll—“

“Myra. I have other business. I have to get out now.”

“Tapi—“

“Dah.”

I pulled his sleeve which instantly disappeared in the blink of an eye because his entire body had disappeared in front of me. My shaken face could only be silent as the bear behind me began to approach, along with the sound of an announcement notification that maintenance was about to take place.

“Ha. I'll kill them both.”

...|Ninj|...

...Fight without magic or fire shadow. Attacking with his own exercise of his mathematical skills....

...|Minstrel|...

...Buff giver. Without buff of any food, if minstrel is in the party, then buff will be abundant....

...|Necromancer|...

...Related to magic. This job requires full intelligence to remember the mantra....

...A little note about fire shadow!...

...~The fire shadow is randomly selected by the in-game system at the beginning after the game tutorial is completed. Players cannot change the color of their fire shadow, unless they create a new character.~...

...Shadow level...

...| Untuk...

...Purple is ranked first in this game because of the swift fire shadow that they can use. This color was a requirement to become a paladin as the purple flame shadow made it easier for players to drain it into his weapon. Minstrel is also a job that requires purple shadow fire....

...|______|...

...Blue is second. Because magicians need a stream of blue fire that is no less swift than purple fire for magic abilities such as telekinesis and clairvoyance....

...|_Highlight...

...Green is ranked third in this game. This fire shadow is connected with a healing spell for the althea....

...|_Highlight...

...Black is the lowest level with the weakest strength. The advantage, this fire can be used for any weapon and any work in the game. It takes someone who can master the entire job aka freelancer....
