^^^“How about we get married?”^^^
Elliot’s POV
The floating panel in front of me instantly disappeared when someone hit me from behind. Fortunately my balance was quite good, but it seems that the one who hit me earlier was less fortunate because I could hear his voice falling with his luggage which also fell.
“Ah, shit.”
That familiar voice made me turn around and I found the girl who rubbed her long Lavender hair tied up in a ponytail. His two green eyes opened instantly, realizing my presence in front of him.
“Wah, what a coincidence,” he said with a smile.
...****************...
“So...what is it?”
I'll ask when Myra keeps the bag (?) it is not shaped like a bag. More like bed linen (?) which he tied up to keep things in it. It looks like the boxes are storage boxes, from the color I can guess.
“Uh...storage-ku?”
I think that question is too stupid.
I hit the jidat and responded, “Ya... I mean what are you doing with your storage being carried around like that? And again why so much, you moved?”
I can guess from the number of boxes he brought could be everything is his completely, which means he will move.
In this game, all players have 17 storage boxes that can be owned and in it each contains 50 items. Then there is a cloud storage or bag that can be taken anywhere to load 65 items, can be accessed from the hovering panel of the player and the system is invisible. But for the rest, players could store it in the storage box that Myra was carrying at the moment.
The usual storage box is kept by someone in the house or inn where they are temporarily staying. The boxes could not be stored in cloud storage and had to be manually carried by someone if they wanted to carry them. To make it easier, the boxes can be shrunk and reduced by 3 times. Yes, although small, the problem is that there are 17 of them…
“Ya...so? Shit, they are so heavy,” Myra stretched both her hands and her waist. I can hear the sound of “krek” from the bones he stretched. The notification sound distracted me, I found a picture of the message appearing in front of me, where the hovering panel was usually located.
I opened my panel and I found a message from Davis.
‘I'll be offline for a while. Maybe just log in for a while tonight.’
‘Myra for me, okay?’
“What is he, leave me like a baby?”
The statement coming from behind shocked me, I turned around and firmly said, “Hey, carelessly read your people's messages!”
I closed it immediately, Myra just said, “Hee, but I'm not interested at all with the other messages tuh,” he said as he moved his lips. “Yaaa I did not see any message from the ID player that there is a heart shape behind it.”
I sighed and stood up from my seat, “H-hey, where are you going?” Myra followed me and I replied, “Farming.”
“And you won't take me?” Ask.
“Oh, you want to come? With your storage?” It actually sounds a bit annoying to say that, but it would certainly be very troublesome to see him struggle to bring the entire box when farming later. Even the short drive from the road where we met earlier to the breakfast place this morning was also very torturous.
“It...” himself turned and looked at his storage which was still lying scattered on the table where we were sitting earlier. I heard him sigh and say, “I don't think I can just leave him.”
I don't know what got into me, suddenly an idea popped into my head. I opened my panel and I pulled an item that I never thought was still in my storage.
“What is it?” Myra pointed at the purple and pink kelana bag that I was holding after I pulled from my storage earlier. Without answering, I gave this bag to her, which she held with a confused face. “What does it mean—“
“You want to come or not?”
Myra glanced at the bag she was holding, then glanced back at the boxes behind her, looking at the decision to wear it or not. “Why should it be pink?” He seemed to be muttering to himself.
“Ya already if you do not want to come,” said me while walking towards the exit.
“Ah! A minute!”
...****************...
The sound of boxes colliding inside the bag was slightly heard by me as Myra walked beside me. Scroll his face that looked a little sweaty because of the burden he carried from the bag. Both of her green eyes glanced at me and I turned my gaze while asking, “Where are we going today?”
Myra stopped and replied, “Eh? I thought you knew what our agenda was today? Did you bring me?”
I closed my mouth shut, thinking back to what I was really doing right now. I thought Davis would go online this morning and go back to doing whatever stupid thing he had planned. But in fact, he left this girl to me.
“Let's know, I haven't played this game in a long time. How is the market price now?”
I regret asking him, because as he walked to the end of the map of this city, he never stopped talking. It seemed that all the items he described were too detailed, there was even some not-so-important information he added. Not a few also he interrupted my conversation that was trying to cut and finish the conversation, which was instead he added the conversation and made it branch.
“. Maybe because too many people need it, so people who farm vaccines also become very much, automatically the price falls deh— oh! I know, I know!”
He pranced on the spot, making me stop to ask, “What?”
“I know what we should farm today!”
...****************...
“Vaccine?”
I was confused when we arrived inside the cave filled with purple-colored slimes. I don't think I've been on this map for a long time, the last time I went here was probably when I was running a quest, and it was a few years ago.
“Didn't you just say that the vaccine price is down now?”
Myra walked through me, staring at the huge fountain that was in front of us. “What we are looking for is not a vaccine. Did you know there's a monster hidden here?”
He smiled when he found me who looked confused. Then slowly he walked back and my hand reflexively reached for him who completely threw himself behind the waterfall. I immediately ran and penetrated the waterfall to follow the plunge after him.
I didn't even know what was down there, but I was relieved when my body landed in a pond where a waterfall was rushing to fill the pond.
I can't remember the last time I jumped into the water in this game, and I only remember from a long time ago this game was a game that gave me a sense of being very close to real life. Just like this water makes my whole body feel fresh. My body feels the same way I used to feel in the real world.
“Oi, will you stay there and daydream?”
I only realized that I was staring at my hands under the water, admiring the clear water of the pool. Myra who had reached the end of the pool and pulled herself out of the pool must have been thinking strangely about me. I followed her, my clothes feeling heavier as I tried to get out of the pool.
“You necromancer right?” He asked suddenly as I stood next to him.
“Ya?”
Then he gave me a look that said ‘that's really’, or ‘ayolah’, I don't know, I really can't read his mind. What does he really want?
“Are you going to let us farm wet and cold like this?” Both of his hands were wide open, showing his clothes that were certainly wet like mine.
One and two water dripped from Lavender's bangs and I just realized what it meant.
Uh. It's mortifying.
With a slight thud, I opened the floating panel in front of me and said, “Why not change clothes? Easy kan.” Afterwards my clothes changed with the others in an instant and Myra just looked at me in disbelief.
“Ha, that's right. Why do I have a necromancer here if he can't even dry my clothes for me?” He grumbled softly, but I could still hear him.
After which he fused his hands together, summoning his fire shadow to come out. Then he made a semicircular motion in the air with one hand, making a black flame with a hint of blue-colored sparks painted in the air.
I can tell you that blue sparks are very few and I can't even see them clearly. I'm sure after this there's not a bit of his dry clothes.
.Mpersona: Charisma: Wind, Vaporate
The semicircle was dancing around Myra and slowly her shirt ‘seen’ dried up. Yes, it should. But it didn't last long. Only half of his wet body had become dry. Myra watched her entire body and let out a disappointed sigh afterwards.
Freelancers. It could be said to be the user of the entire shadow. The black flames he possessed could not be strong without another stream of shadows. As he tried earlier, he tried to imitate the necromancer skill I had. But because the balance of black fire and blue fire was disturbed, Myra was unable to launch her magic neatly. In my beta era there has never been a best freelancer user because almost everyone quickly gives up being a freelancer. Where there are people who can do everything at once by remembering all the tidings and movements that exist.
“Kan, I told you I'm the best player here.”
Except for that strange black-and-white haired man. I think he can master any job. Yeah, none other than Davis. It is not strange if Myra feels discouraged if she has seen Davis's perfect freelancer character slot.
At least he tried.
“Why don't you just tell me?” I asked him, approaching slowly.
“You mean?”
“I actually forgot about that magic spell. I haven't logged in in in too long. Though you can name the rapalan and how to use it, I can do it for you.”
After that long explanation that I thought would be answered with anger from him, he could only move his lips forward and reply, “Have it, I can't count on anyone. I'm the one who should be this freelancer can do all the jobs. You're not wrong, I'm the one who sucks.”
A woman does not blame a man and considers herself wrong? Am I dreaming?
He began to walk to the cave in front of us, following him I asked, “Who said that?”
“Davis,” answers without hesitation.
Ah, I guess. That guy was always tough on anybody. I thought just because of her gender, Davis would be softer and kinder to her. He was always like that to anyone. Always demanding more, even though we only play games.
^^^“Then why don't you just become Red Shadow so that everything is perfect huh?”^^^
^^^“This is not a hair tie, its name is scrunchie!”^^^
^^^“Whispering!”^^^
^^^“Why? You suddenly interested in me? Hm?”^^^
But looking at all the events that happened again I can make sure he is a woman, yup.
“But I think what you did was good enough. Even you remember his good tidings,” I told him. He only looked at me for a moment before finally smiling, “But I'm not as good as you. I heard from Davis you're the best player in beta. Clairvoyant users are the most active and fastest in coping with situations. You also used to lead—“
“Ah, forget that. Dark past,“ cut me off with a nervous laugh.
“Oh, but Davis also said that you're bad without any magical slingshot. Just because you're a magic user, you can't do anything without magic. You forget a lot of the name of the magic label and sometimes fail to pronounce it. Oh, he also said that you were blind map and—“
“Okay stop-stop, stop there,” I reached out my hand and accidentally covered her face in front of me. He just laughed and I laughed a little bit. “Forget the words Davis. He's a fool full of slurs about other people.”
“I know. But he's also my savior.”
“You mean?”
A voice that suddenly sounded not far from us made Myra come to a halt. “They are here,” he said with a strained shoulder. He took a swing by taking the sword he pulled from the panel which he opened and closed.
“Who?”
My question was answered by the appearance of dozens of skeletons with red bandanas tying their plontos heads. I prepared at the back, taking out my blue shadow fire. I looked around me, not too many things I could make weapons with my telekinesis. Damn, if only I still remembered the other reports I had it would have been easier.
Myra stood in front of me, preparing with her long sword. “I don't think you understand the situation.” Myra stretched her head and took an attacking position.
“What?”
With a small black fire shadow in front of him, he replied, This first “Ronde is mine.”
He pulled one leg back, pulled one hand while chanting one of the chants I remember belonged to my job. Necromancers.
.Mpersona: Charisma: Foreshock
With two fingers that began to emit blue flames and black flames, he pointed them towards the skeletons. The ground cracked, making the skeleton stop running, but it only lasted for a moment. I'm starting to think he made a mistake. Just like before, he was still unable to balance both of his fire shadows well.
God, if this keeps up, we're going home with nothing.
Beyond a doubt, he chanted another attack that shocked me. He drew the purple-colored flame that suddenly appeared when he pointed his sword forward.
. Mumpersona: Obscura: Aeon
After that he stuck his sword into the ground, producing a purple-colored wave that made the entire skeleton that ran over into a slow move. Ah, apparently out of all the cracks that came from Foreshock, Myra was only ‘touch’ the shadow of the entire skeleton. That way Aeon managed to influence the entire skeleton whose shadow had been bound by it.
He pulled out the other swords he had in his pocket, swiftly running and slashing one by one the skeletons in front of him with ease. Make bones scatter. But due to the effect of his tidying, the bones just floated before me, taking a long time to touch the ground. I could only watch it with my mouth open. He who only uses a sword without shadow can defeat dozens of skeletons.
The last time I saw Aeon's tapes was definitely from Davis. He often tidied it up to make it easier for us to farm together.
I didn't think he could make out the attack of the owner of the purple flame as well.
“Oi, what are you waiting for? Your turn.”
Myra who was standing at the end of the cave shouted at me, the effects of Aeon are slowly disappearing. Turns out the tidbits couldn't last longer than I remember Davis. The bones fell to the ground and one by one the skeletons rose again and formed a new skeleton.
Ah, it turns out to be nostalgic with exciting new people as well huh.
Charisma: Telekinesis
All the bones that have not yet formed the new skeleton I made a tool to attack the already exorbitant skeleton. Because it is fragile, the bones that rub against each other slowly become smaller, until they eventually turn into ash.
After everything was gone, I saw Myra smiling in satisfaction at the end of the cave, giving me two thumbs in the air.
“Keren!”
...****************...
“El?”
“Ya?”
“You know? Newbie's stuck in there sometimes. Against the skeleton is actually a bit difficult.”
Myra who was now all over her body had dried up was walking next to me. The sky had turned orange when we returned to the city on foot.
“It is difficult if you do not know how to effectively deal with it,” I replied.
“Really! The Skeletons were walking very fast, the attacks from them were also quite sick and fast. But their defense is very fragile. So between a far-off attack or freeze the time and voila! It will be easier to face them!”
I just smiled looking at him who was very happy to give that explanation. Just like Davis who first tried Aeon which was just released at that time. She was as happy as Myra was right now, making my memories even stronger to remember those times.
^^^“I think I'll play a long time here. Cool, right update?”^^^
^^^“Oi, we should often level up here.”^^^
^^^“Do not forget to log in tomorrow at regular hours.”^^^
“El?”
“Ya?” Without me knowing I was late in my daydream.
“Is your storage still empty? Mine's really full. I'm very upset. If only I still have storage surely we can still farm until night,” grunted that saw the panel in front of him has a red notification.
This vaccine is a rare item that is not easily obtained. Moreover, the power needed doubled because the skeleton returned to life after being killed. But it is cool to see the storage full of rare items. It means we killed a lot of skeletons together.
“Your entire storage is up? That right? What are you wearing?” I was surprised to hear that. I thought what he was carrying in that bag was some empty, it was full? 17 Storage boxes are full? Really, what did he collect exactly?
“Ahaha, take it easy, I'll trade it first. Will not be too full after,” answers that seem to think hard, such as determining which unnecessary items he will throw away.
“Dexchange? Wh-wh-what for? As I said the item could not be exchanged for anything,” the question made Myra close her mouth tightly. But before I asked what was wrong, he immediately replied, “Ahaha, yes, I mean, uh, exchanged for money on players in need! Right enough. This rare item can sell well in the city right?”
Sometimes the laughter looks too forced, like it's hiding something. But I can't ask you more about anything about him. Just like he did the day before. Urgent with questions won't change anything. I think I should do it slowly.
Just sec. Why would I want to know more about him?
Myra who was walking in front of me accidentally opened the character slot panel. I briefly saw the entire open slot. I was surprised to see him say, “Wow, did you buy the entire slot? You have a lot of money yes.”
It made him close the panel and look nervous when answering, “T-no really. You may have seen it wrong. M-Where maybe I have the whole open slot. Buying just one is very difficult aha.”
Freelancers. Character slots that freelancers have must be many. That was why people couldn't survive for long being a freelancer of the black flame. Buying a single slot is very expensive, especially entirely. One in the blue flame necromancer, and two in the purple flame paladin. He already has two, and the fact is seen when he did his tidying in front of me earlier. Then why doesn't he want to admit it? Did he see me like a fool? Did I not realize it?
“El.”
“Ya?” I don't know why it felt like from now on he called my name a lot before asking or saying anything. Directly to the point is easier.
“Is there a way to add storage slots?”
That question got me thinking two things, one: what could really open a storage slot? Two: why does he really need storage? What is he really piling up? Trashy? Is he a newbie who used to stack things that were actually useless?
Damnit. Stop wanting to know about it and just answer the question.
“Entahlah. Aside from the purchase of character slots that add five columns of storage slots, I guess just marry the other way.”
“Married?”
I replied with a nod of the head, “With the married system you can open 50 new slots and two boxes that can be owned by each partner.” Then the next question was the unexpected thing that would come out of his mouth.
“Then how about we get married?”
Stopping walking with my eyes staring at her in disbelief made Myra blink twice before finally realizing what she was saying. He was shocked with his mouth and eyes wide open.
“A-I don't intend to—“
“Sorry, but I've got a girlfriend.” The answer from me made his face even more crimson, his hands waving in front of him quickly.
“AAA-I GO.”
After that he teleported somewhere, and left the party just like that. I could only laugh softly and continue on my way home.
I think Davis is right. This game is getting more interesting.
