Eps. 38 Meet the Bear

The place where Orion lived, which was actually the border between the state of anubis and werewolf country, is now getting crowded after the number of newcomers living there.

Most of the arrivals were married and had young children the same age as Orion.

Orion was thrilled with the presence of a little boy there who could be his friend. He often played with the kids. But even though he was very happy to play with the children who were there, he spent more time playing with Ariel.

That afternoon Orion invited Ariel to play with the children there. They play all the children's games starting from hide and seek and role play.

“Orion... now we play the role of one family.” said one of the small children to him.

“Because I am older than you I will play the role of your mother and you as my daughter.” the little boy told Orion.

Orion just followed what his friend said.

“Oh yes... Ariel you play the role of my husband.” said the boy while pulling Ariel forward with red cheeks.

Ariel refused but because Orion pulled her too she finally agreed to be played by the two children. And they started playing their part.

“Dad... my body is hot. I want to faint..” Orion said pretending to stagger while looking at Ariel.

Ariel who felt silly also started acting.

“Yes son, I will carry you to the room.” said Ariel who approached the child and carried his body with red cheeks.

Somehow Ariel felt like a fool playing the role with the girls and she felt uncomfortable playing the role.

“Orion I'm tired of playing this stupid game. I stopped playing.” he told another child and took Orion away from that place.

“Hei... wait... ! Where are you two going?” one of the children shouted at the two of them.

“We want to go home.. !” ariel looked back as she continued walking.

Soon they arrive at Orion's house. Ariel saw Orion's mother sitting here on the porch and she came over.

“Mother Zoya can I go play a little while with Orion ? We will be back before lunch.” he told Princess Zoya.

Zoya's daughter finds out that Ariel is a werewolf and her son Fredi gives her permission to play.

“Ariel.. please take care of Orion. Please help her when she's in trouble. And remember do not harm yourself, you two are still small.” said the princess advised the child.

“Iya mother...” she replied then immediately approached Orion who will play with another child.

“Let's find another playground.” invite him and immediately pull the child away from there.

“Where are we going to play ? Didn't you just say you wanted to go home?” he asked the boy as he continued to follow him.

“Yes I said that because I didn't like that stupid game to get out of there. I want to catch a rabbit for you..” he explained.

“Rabbit... ? Yes of course I want to. I like rabbits. I will keep it if you manage to catch it for me.” Orion said excitedly after hearing the explanation from the boy.

They kept walking away from their place. In the middle of the road they saw a white rabbit eating grass.

Because Orion was so anxious at the rabbit, he immediately approached the rabbit himself and caught it. The shocked rabbit ran away when he found out someone wanted to catch him.

“Orion... stop ! Let's just go back, it's dangerous here. Many wild animals in this forest.” he said as he pulled Orion's hand and took the boy out of there immediately.

“No... I want the rabbit..” he said who was reluctant to go from there and still wanted to chase the rabbit.

“Orion. Out there a lot of rabbits I'll catch one for you. You shut up later when you see a rabbit, let me catch it so it doesn't run away like it did.” said the boy kept pulling Orion out of the forest before there were any beasts they would meet there.

With a heavy heart Orion walked away from the place and followed Ariel walking out of the forest.

It turned out that without them knowing they had entered almost into the middle of the forest. In the middle of the road Ariel heard the sound of rapid footsteps leading to them.

“Orion let's run from here. I don't know what we'll meet if we don't get out of here soon.” Ariel ran faster while continuing to pull Orion's hand out of there.

But it was too late for them to escape.

“groar..!”

A big bear appeared in front of them. Orion who was afraid to see the big bear suddenly could not run anymore.

“Orion why stop ? Let's run.. !”

The child just silently looked in fear at Ariel and continued to hold her hand.

“Don't tell me you're scared to the point of not being able to move?” said the boy who saw Orion nodding at him.

“Ah... shit !” Ariel then carried Orion up to his shoulders and walked out of the forest. Carrying Orion, Ariel could not run. And the bear quickly chased after the two of them.

Now the bear was right behind them.

“Ariel fast... ! The bear is already behind us !” said the boy while looking back.

Ariel now ran still holding Orion. But unfortunately, he fell down because he was not strong to carry Orion's body while running.

“bruk..” They both fell and now the bear was behind them.

“Ariel... how is this... ?” he was afraid of the boy.

Ariel stood up and asked Orion to hide behind a large tree behind them. He obeyed Ariel and immediately stood up and hid behind a big tree not far from him now.

The bear approached and chased Ariel. He walked by showing his sharp claws and opened his mouth wide revealing a row of his canines.

“Dash...” The bear swung his hand to catch Ariel. But the boy jumped and was able to avoid.

“buk..” Ariel picked up a large boulder nearby and threw it at the bear which made her feel pain.

When the bear collapsed, Ariel immediately ran and pulled the hand of Orion who was hiding along to run with him.

Ariel ran fast and Orion could not keep up with the boy's running speed until he fell. And the bear quickly came back to them.

The bear saw that there was a body still lying and he immediately grabbed the child's body.
