Ever since I saw Vania again, I somehow felt more and more on her.

Regret always haunts me for wasting a woman as good as her.

While my feelings for Alexa are dwindling. Especially when we were in the hospital. I'm getting to know the nature of Alexa which turns out to be worse than I thought so far.

I finally had to deal with two tough choices in my life.

I don't seem to understand my current condition.

I just want what's best for my son, but I've always been more concerned with Alexa's feelings.

Mother is very easy to trick Alexa with the lure of money. I know Mom never liked Vania, because Vania came from a poor family.

Seeing the closeness of Vania and Andra lately, made me become afraid of losing Vania for the second time.

Moreover, I know clearly what Andra felt like to Vania a long time ago.

But this time I will make the right decision for my life. I don't want her to regret it again.

I will fight for Vania, we have a reason to defend our household because there is already Elmira among us.

And about Alexa, I'm gonna divorce her. I really can't stand living in a household with Alexa. Not to mention that our household always had interference from her parents.

And that makes me a man who has no self-respect as the head of the household.

Anything I would do to get Vania to forgive me and accept me again.

"Vania, please come back to me. I'll do anything for you to forgive me." I grabbed Vania's hand and grabbed her.

Instantly Vania put away her hand and looked at me sharply.

"Mas, if you just want to say this, I'm sorry I don't want to hear anymore." Vania gets out of the chair.

Not giving up, I took Vania's hand again.

"Vania, I'm sorry" I said.

"Thank you!!!" Suddenly I heard a voice that was familiar to me.

I looked for the source of the voice, and it turned out that my guess was not wrong.

I saw that Papa-in-law was already standing looking at me with a gaze that seemed to want to swallow me alive.

"P-papa" I said nervously. Vania immediately threw out my hand that was still holding her hand. From Papa's gaze, I'm sure if Alexa had complained about the incident to her papa.

Papa approached me, and without warning Papa punched me in the face.

I fell to the floor, I held the corner of my lips that let out a red liquid.

This is not the first time that Papa-in-law has been violent against me, because Papa-in-law is a person who cannot speak only by mouth.

I saw Vania looking surprised at Papa's sudden treatment.

"I didn't believe Alexa's words at first, but now I've seen them with my own eyes. Basic male bajing4n" said Papa looking wrathful.

I immediately got up to my feet while holding my sore cheek.

"How dare you play my daughter, have you forgotten what Alexa's sacrifice looks like to you? Without Alexa, you are nothing. All the money, positions, houses, and possessions you have come from Alexa. You just came with the clothes you're wearing, do I need to remind you of that again?" shouted Papa-in-law.

As soon as people looked at us, I don't know how many times my household problems became the spectacle of the people in this hospital.

Actually I was very embarrassed and felt that I had no self-esteem anymore, especially to Vania because she had witnessed all the embarrassing things to me.

"And you, if you were a good woman, you wouldn't show your face here anymore. Are you deliberately trying to ruin my daughter's household?" Papa pointed at Vania and stared at her cynically.

"What does Om mean? Even though I have been cheated by Mas Arvin and Alexa, I have no intention to destroy their household" said Vania.

"Shut up! I'm not asking for your opinion" Papa said, widening his eyes.

"Pa, enough. Papa can insult me, whatever Papa does to me I always accept. But don't insult Vania, let alone demean her. Vania is innocent here, we've had enough to wound her" I said.

This time my patience was as thin as a tissue, the sense of an atomic bomb was about to explode inside me. I can't accept that Papa would judge Vania that way, because I know Vania better than anyone.

"So now you have the courage to fight Papa? Just for this girl? For the sake of women who have absolutely no share in all your success Arvin." said Papa.

"Indeed, Vania didn't contribute to my success Pa, but Vania knew how to treat me as a husband. He always respected me and never disrespected me Pa" I replied.

"It's only natural that he's like that, because he's self-conscious. While Alexa, she's been instrumental in your success Arvin. It's only natural that he sues you a lot. You should not be the reason to blame Alexa" Papa said.

"Now I realize Pa, Alexa's attitude has always been arbitrary from whom. It turns out that Papa is the one who became Alexa increasingly spoiled and must get whatever his will. With today's incident, I know what decision I have to make" I replied.

Once again Papa raised his hand on my face, the pain I felt would not be comparable to my current heartache.

"You're getting brazen Arvin, you're not self-conscious about what your life was like before it. This was my fear from the beginning when I was going to marry you to Alexa. "I'm aware Pa, if I don't deserve Alexa. So, from now on Papa can find the most suitable man for Alexa. Not a poor man who doesn't know himself like me Pa" I replied.
