Part 193 Should we sacrifice?

Early in the morning Dina was startled by the pounding of her bedroom door. With her eyes still slightly closed Dina opened the door of her room.

"what the hell is Yes?" said Dina while yawning

"what time is it? You're not in college?" tia said

"what time is college?" said Dina who was still not fully aware

"it was only half a seven o'clock.but...." Tia scratched her non-itchy head

"but what?" ask Dina

"that's...." Tia pointed out "from when I woke up at six, she was there.She said you were sick, she called you back and forth but your phone died" Tia said hesitantly.

"oh..I've been better, although still a little dizzy" said Dina "i took a shower first to go to college" Dina closed the door and then took a shower.

Fifteen minutes later he was ready to go to college. Dina came out of her boarding house on foot, but only a few steps blocked her hand.

Dina was shocked she reflexively pulled her hand. It was Bimo who blocked his hand.

"i'm worried, I'm calling you but your phone is dead, until late at night I'm here but you don't want to see me, early in the morning I've come you ignore" said Bimo with a worried tone mullied

"i'm fine mas" said Dina flat

"let's go with me, this morning our lecture is the same, right?" bimo. Dina relented, if she refused there would definitely be more debate and they would be late for college.

"mas..please stay away from me. I do not want the events of yesterday to repeat again.." said Dina when in the car.

"but why Din...? I just want to be close to you no more"

"that's exactly what scares me. I beg you mas.I just want to go to college quietly" said Dina with a pleading gaze.

"alright, I will try to stay away from you, but don't ask me to ignore you" said Bimo choked he knew Dina would no longer be in contact with him.

Arriving at the campus they walk alone. Dina road first and Bimo a few meters behind him. Being traumatized, he did not want to be humiliated anymore, even though it was not entirely his fault.

Even in class, they sat far apart. Dina was a little relieved, at least Bimo was willing to keep his distance with her. Although Dina was already used to Bimo's presence, she did it for the good of both of them.

Dina just wants to recover her good name on campus which had become a conversation on the campus. Dina wanted to prove if it was not her who took Bimo from Riri but Bimo himself who approached her.

Dina is an independent girl, although a little difficult because she has become accustomed to the presence of Bimo who always accompanies and takes her everywhere, Dina can go through everything.

Dina's relationship with Dendy is more tenuous than usual. Usually Dendy can call him for hours at night, now he calls only briefly even at most half an hour.

Dendy sends short messages more often. Dina felt that something was different from Dendy even though in each of them talking nothing changed, Dendy still remained just as gentle to her.

Dina also still once a week to go home to see Dendy, after a few weeks he waited for Dendy at his house but Dendy just stopped by for a while finally Dina relented.

Dina returns to her habit of visiting Dendy's house. Dendy's mama's welcome is still warm and unchanged. Nothing has changed, only Dendy starts reducing the length of her calls.

"Next week you're birthday, I can't go home because it's in the middle of the week even though it's my college day off but there are tasks I have to complete" said Dina with a soft tone

"it's nothing, it's important to pray" said Dendy gently staring at Dina

"hopefully my Friday school is empty so I can go home early"

"if you can't not be forced, and one more don't skip college just for my birthday" Dendy said with emphasis at the end of her speech.

"yeah.iya..." Dina shrugged off her smile

"remember never sacrifice your lecture for me" Dendy said with a serious face.

Dendy's words seemed to imply something but Dina didn't know what it was. Dina did not want to think too much about it, she thought maybe Dendy was too stressed to face the final test.

"how? Where are you going to college?" ask Dendy's dad firmly

"the same university as Dina pa.." said Dendy firmly

"meaning you already know what you have to do" said his father Dendy then he left the family room

"ma.." whine Dendy.

"mama don't know why papa became like that Den.." said Mama Tari softly.

"but it's not fair to me ma..." Dendy became a different figure since her father told her to break up with Dina "please ma, persuade papa"

"mama can't Den.mama can't fight your papa" said his mother Dendy.

"later this time I had a really sincere boyfriend" Dendy said.

"mama also loves Dina but maybe you split up while the time is the right decision, you can focus on your respective lectures" said Mama Tari gently

Dendy is angry, he takes the keys to his bike and leaves the house. Dendy's mother could only sigh, seeing her firstborn return to being a child who did not care about herself or her family.

As usual Dendy called Dina night-night. This time almost every day Dendy called him like he used to do.

^^^️ let it go^^

The two of them chatted with no memory of the time, exchanging stories of what happened when they did not meet. Being honest and open even just over the phone has made them both happy.
