Part 49's

Dendy drove his bike to a meatball stall near his house. The shop where they first ate meatballs together. Dendy parked his bike in the shade. Dina came down from the bonfire and took off her helmet.

They walked into the meatball stall. The atmosphere inside was so crowded and full because it happened to coincide with the hours of rest of the employees and also the hours of return of the school children.

"Inside is full Din, we just sit outside ya.." said Dendy pointed to the bench kosososng on the terrace of the stall.

"yes, in the heat of Den, it's good outside the breeze" said Dina with a smile.

"you want to eat what Din, let me order" said Dendy

"the meatballs are just like orange ice Den" said Dina pulled the chair closer to the table to make her sit more comfortable

Dendy walks into the car of a meatball brother and orders meatballs for him and for Dina. Then she sat down next to Dina and took off the jacket she had been wearing. Soon their order came. Dina performs her ritual before eating meatballs, tasting the sauce then adding sambal and vinegar.

Dendy noticed what Dina was doing, she tried to memorize everything Dina did.

"The ritual can't forget Din?" dendy chuckled

"iya.biar fit on Den's tongue" said Dina as she sipped her meat sauce.

"You like spicy Din?" dendy asked as he poured the sambal in his bowl

"Like Den.but now be more careful when eating spicy" said Dina blowing on the meatball sauce that is still steaming

"why Din?" said Dendy knitting both of his eyebrows

"i have heartburn Den" said Dina casually

The two of them ate in silence, Dendy confused about where to start the conversation from again. Until finally their food was gone.

"want to add more Din? " ask Dendy

"no Den.. was lazy to eat, usually also three bowls of meatballs run out" Dina chuckled.

"if you want to add, I'll have another message for you" said Dendy

"already enough Den.." said Dina while waving her right palm.

"yes, if you don't want to, I pay for this we go to the city park" said Dendy up from his seat

Dina just smiled at her smile. Dendy drives her motorcycle and drives Dina to the city park.

Arriving at the city park Dendy parked his motorbike on the side of the road. And walk to a bench under a big tree in the middle of the garden. They both sat side by side.

Dendy took off her jacket and put it next to her.

"Din, where did you go yesterday?" Dendy opened the conversation

"yesterday?" Dina knitted her two brows staring at Dendy

"yes yesterday during the afternoon break" Dendy stared at Dina

"yesterday, eating meatballs at the 'AA' stall" said Dina, looking straight ahead at her face

"that's your girlfriend Din?" dendy asked withstanding the turmoil within her chest, afraid of Dina's reply

"oh.no..not.not..."

"who is that anyway? you look so close, you look like a date"

"hmmm...so yeah....?" Dina chuckles "yes my boyfriend." he continues while staring at Dendy.

'Deg.deg....

Dendy froze at Dina's reply, her face looking angry and disappointed

"was..." Dina chuckled at Dendy's expression

"what's Den?" said Dina holding back her smile staring at Dendy

"ah.no...no..." Dendy shook her head

"he was my ex-boyfriend in first grade Den.." said Dina back to his eyes straight ahead.

"oh.. but from what I see it looks like you guys still love each other" said Dendy turned into a wistful

"somehow" Dina flicked her shoulder "maybe I'm just betting material" said Dina pulling one corner of her lips

"uhuh?" Dendy was shocked to hear Dina's words

"what brought me here now?" ask Dina

"keeping my promise at that time Din, invite you bonceng my old motorcycle"

"oh...if riding a motorcycle why sit here Den?" Dina chuckles

"hot Dina.... not good to ride the bike during the day, if you want and can how Saturday night or Sunday morning we walk again?" Dendy looked at Dina with sparkling eyes

Dendy took off her jacket and sat back down. Suddenly his body felt weak, because he was panicking but Dina instead laughed at him. That annoyance was what Dendy felt.
