Cheryl asks Lusy to come out first. While opening the door for his mother, he saw Orion standing in front of the door.
Orion was surprised that the door was open and now faced each other with Lusy and Cheryl, so the young man slightly bowed to greet his father-in-law.
Lusy squinted, then chose to go from there and pass Orion without greeting his daughter-in-law.
Orion himself felt awkward, Lusy's attitude which clearly did not like him, became a burden for him.
“You've come, why don't you knock on the door?” ask Cheryl after Lusy leaves. Orion looked at him, who was just staring at him.
Orion did not immediately answer Cheryl's question, choosing to go into his wife's room and put the paper bag brought to the table.
Cheryl herself closed the door, then walked up to Orion who was already on the sofa.
“I heard you were talking to someone, so I didn't think it was good to interrupt, then wait for you to finish,” Orion said in response to Cheryl's question. He spoke while busy taking out the box containing the salad and also lunch.
Cheryl was surprised to hear Orion's reply and swallowed her hard-earned saliva. If Orion hears inside, it means that Orion knows what Lusy and Cheryl are talking about.
“Ka-you heard all?” ask Cheryl stammered. He stared at Orion who was slightly bent over serving a salad.
Orion stopped opening the salad box cover, then turned to Cheryl who was standing next to the table.
“I heard all,” answered Orion then reviewed his sweet smile.
Cheryl immediately poked her lips, both cheeks red with embarrassment because Orion heard her talk with Lusy.
“Let's sit down and eat!” take Orion because Cheryl's just standing.
Cheryl looks clumsy and misbehaved, but is unlikely to shy away. Finally Cheryl sat down and received a box containing a salad offered Orion.
“Thank you,” says Cheryl.
Orion replies with a smile, and takes her lunch box to accompany Cheryl to a salad.
Cheryl put a mouthful in her mouth, but occasionally glanced at Orion who was eating.
Why should he come when there is Mommy, where would I put my face if he discussed or asked about Mommy's question that I have not been able to answer, Cheryl murmured in her heart. Even he chewed and swallowed hard-earned fruit because of wrong behavior.
Orion chewed the food that entered the mouth, until then looked at Cheryl who was wrong behavior.
“Cher.”
Orion had just called out his wife's name, but the woman immediately choked in surprise.
Orion is shocked to see Cheryl choking. He got up and took the water from the dispenser in the room, and gave it to Cheryl.
“Drink, if you eat slowly,” Orion said while giving a glass of water to Cheryl.
Cheryl received a glass from Orion, then downed the contents to relieve the heat that spread in the throat. Orion himself chose to sit beside Cheryl, watching his wife who was drinking.
Sitting while being watched by Orion, makes Cheryl's heart beat faster. Drinking doesn't make Cheryl's throat cold, but it's getting hotter because it's choking on the water from Orion's gaze.
Cheryl coughed, until the water that had just entered her mouth gushed out.
Orion was surprised and immediately picked up a tissue. He also intends to wipe the surface of Cheryl's lips with a tissue.
“Why are you choking like this?” Orion rubbed the surface of Cheryl's lips slowly as she was still coughing.
Orion does not realize that Cheryl is watching him, he is focusing on cleaning the surface of his lips from the water.
Orion's black eyeballs moved until it finally met Cheryl's blue eyeball gaze. The two also look at each other for a moment with Orion's hand still holding a tissue in front of the surface of Cheryl's lips.
“Thank you, I've been feeling better,” Cheryl broke the awkwardness of staring at Orion.
Orion still did not take his eyes off Cheryl, until the young man commented on her sweet smile.
“You remember our first meeting?” ask Orion suddenly.
Cheryl was shocked and now looks back at Orion.
“I'm in the car, you piggyback Kak Langit, we meet at the intersection of red lights,” Orion said again.
Cheryl nodded with a faint smile on her face. “I remember.”
“At that time I immediately admired you, maybe it was just a sense of admiration for seeing you different. I said to my brother if I wanted to get to know you more, then I knew what my brother was saying. He said ‘Don't invent a leak!’ I realized that it was still really small because I was sitting on the Junior High School bench. However, I was thinking of quickly growing up in order to catch up with you.”
Orion tells the story and remembers the day that Cheryl first saw her and was instantly fascinated by Cheryl's different figure. Her wavy brown hair, her glowing blue eyes were beautiful, a friendly smile that could make all men bend their knees to that woman.
Cheryl seems misbehaved to hear Orion's words, despite knowing that the young man liked her a long time ago, but never terbesit thought that Orion was fascinated by her from the beginning of meeting.
“I think approaching you as a child, will make you sooner or later accept me. However, I was disappointed when I found out that you thought I was just a child. I never bothered you again after that, but I never buried a taste for you. Just always pray that you don't get married, before I grow up, so that I can marry you,” Orion said as he looked at Cheryl.
Orion's prayer seems to have been granted, as is evident from Cheryl who was unmarried at twenty-eight years old, as well as Cheryl who was never close to any man. Orion is able to marry Cheryl, despite a tragedy.
Cheryl was flabbergasted at Orion's words, not expecting the young man to hope so, though all hope was finally granted.
Cheryl looked at Orion seeing a sincerity in the young man's eyes.
“Ion, may I ask you something. But I want you to answer it honestly,” Cheryl said with an unmoved look from Orion.
“Just ask, I will definitely answer if I can,” Orion replied.
“Promise to be honest, for the sake of the baby in my womb,” pinta Cheryl looked seriously at Orion.
Orion is very surprised by Cheryl's request, why the woman brought a fetus in the womb just to get an honesty from him.
“Don't take her, Cher.”
“Then promise,” pinta Cheryl again.
Orion finally nodded and was forced to promise.
“Ion, it wasn't you who framed me, ‘kan? I'm pretty sure if it wasn't you, I remember that guy's face, Ion. That's not you.” Once again Cheryl asks for Orion's recognition, this time convinced that Orion will not refuse.
Orion fell silent and swallowed his hard-earned saliva, apparently unable to lie because Cheryl asked him to be honest on behalf of the fetus in the womb.
“Yes, I didn't do it because it has a lot of consideration. Besides not being able to let my sister suffer, I also really want to marry you,” Orion said honestly but did not dare to look at Cheryl, afraid that the woman was disappointed because she lied.
Cheryl was so relieved to hear Orion's words, that she clasped Orion's palm.
Orion is shocked to see his palm held by Cheryl, then dares to look at Cheryl and see the sweet smile of his wife.
“Thank you, Ion. Thank you for accepting me.”
