Two weeks passed. Orion and Cheryl are getting closer and better. They've been open to each other, especially Cheryl who has started to put feelings into Orion.
“This is her fetal heartbeat. He is now ten weeks old,” said the doctor when examining Cheryl's content. The doctor did an ultrasound to know the development of Cheryl content.
Orion stared at the monitor screen that showed Cheryl's fetal condition, hearing the fetal heartbeat that had begun to sound. Although Orion is not the father, but somehow hearing the heartbeat made him so moved, even without realizing his eyeballs look teary.
This time Cheryl looks more eager to check the condition of her fetus, than when she first came with Lusy and Joya.
“He's still very small,” said Orion still staring at the monitor.
“Iya because it is still so old,” reply doctor.
Orion turned to the doctor, then looked at Cheryl who had been looking at him. Seeing his wife smiling at him, Cheryl felt funny at the look on Orion's face.
The doctor prescribes vitamins to be redeemed at the pharmacy. After taking the medicine, Orion and Cheryl leave the hospital.
“Do you want something before we go home?” ask Orion. He deliberately took time off work just to be able to take Cheryl check.
“The weather is very hot, suddenly I want to eat ice cream,” Cheryl replied as she looked out where the sun looked so hot that afternoon.
“OK, we eat ice cream before we go home,” Orion said as she extended a smile to Cheryl.
They also went to the ice cream shop. Cheryl ordered strawberry ice cream, while Orion ordered chocolate.
“What is delicious?” cheryl asked when she saw Orion eating chocolate-flavored ice cream.
“You want to try?” Orion scoops and thrusts into Cheryl's mouth.
Cheryl was seen enjoying the chocolate-flavored ice cream, especially the one feeding Orion. The sweet and cold food was getting sweeter.
The two had just finished eating ice cream, and walked out of the ice cream shop hand in hand. Cheryl's gaze was fixed on a baby supply store across the street.
“Ion, get there yuk!” take Cheryl with you while pulling the end of the sleeve of the shirt Orion is wearing. He pointed to the baby shop across the street.
Orion looked at the store Cheryl pointed to, and went where she wanted to go.
They went to the baby shop. Cheryl seemed enthusiastic about looking at the baby equipment in the store. Initially Cheryl could not accept the presence of a fetus in her womb, but after Orion entered her life, making Cheryl really happy because there was a fetus in her womb that had united her with Orion.
“The shoes are cute,” Cheryl said while holding a very small pink shoe.
“We do not know later the baby boy what girl, why want to buy pink shoes?” ask Orion astonishment.
“Iya doesn't know yet, but this is very funny. Can I buy it?” ask Cheryl for being fatigued by those shoes.
“If you like, just buy,” Orion replied.
Cheryl smiled broadly, then picked up a pair of tiny shoes and paid for them at the cashier. Although not yet know the sex of the baby, but Cheryl is very fond of the shoes.
Cheryl stared at the small paper bag containing the baby shoes she bought. She looked so happy and had actually received a fetus in her womb.
Orion held Cheryl's hand, looking at the wife who looked so happy.
They walk back to cross, the traffic lights show green for pedestrians. Cheryl and Orion cross to get to their car.
However, from the left direction suddenly there was a car that was speeding. Cheryl was to the left of Orion, not noticing the car now driving towards them because she was focusing on her paper bag.
Until the sound of the tire squeaking on the asphalt sounded so loud in the ears. Orion is shocked and Cheryl, both of them looking at the car that is now heading towards them.
