My Wife, My Destiny

My Wife, My Destiny
A lie

The sun had started to show itself, but Dave's eyes were still reluctant to be closed. Dave finally chose to clean himself first to the bathroom in a VVIP room he had prepared for his wife.

One of his men approached and gave 2 paper bags containing clothes for him and also food for breakfast in the morning. Mike had arranged for someone to prepare all the needs of his master while in the hospital.

After finishing cleaning himself, Dave just glanced towards the paper bag containing food that was on the nightstand. But really, he had already lost his appetite altogether.

Dave reached into his pocket to pick up a cell phone, he remembered if he had to contact his grandfather. Without waiting for a long time Grandpa immediately answered the phone call from him as if he was waiting.

"Hello grandfather. " greet Dave calmly.

"Snick boy, where have you been since yesterday I called you! Where's my son-in-law's granddaughter? Why haven't I been able to contact her since yesterday? Where are you guys really? Say it!" said grandfather grudgingly scolding his favorite grandson.

Dave held back and tried to strengthen his heart. His grandfather's current condition did not allow to hear the news of this accident. Moreover, lately his condition is improving, Dave does not want grandfather to fall ill again.

"Oh, come on, grandpa. How can I explain it if Grandpa keeps talking." Dave said in an annoying tone as usual.

"We're fine now, and we're in California. Lisa suddenly gets the news if one of her friends is sick. Therefore, we left very suddenly yesterday." explained Dave made up a lie to convince his grandfather.

"You sure you didn't lie to me? then where's my son-in-law's granddaughter? I want to talk to him now." said grandfather still hesitating.

His premonition says if something might have happened. His heart really cannot feel calm and comfortable if it has not been ascertained all.

"Grandpa Lisa is still sleeping, she is so exhausted by the journey here and goes straight to the hospital to see her best friend. Let him rest first, okay?" dave's story again tries to convince his grandfather.

He also sent a photo where Lisa was asleep on a king-size bed. The real picture they took when they were away on vacation and staying at a hotel a few months ago.

"look grandfather, I'm not lying, am I?" said Dave holding tightness in his chest.

"Yes, well then go home if your business is done. Grandfather felt lonely here." obviously grandfather in a lower voice.

Although there was still a hint of doubt in his heart, he could only try to trust his granddaughter. I don't know why Grandpa was so worried about Lisa.

"Okay, grandpa, then it's old. I'm gonna go out for a minute to buy her the breakfast she wants, before Lisa wakes up." said Dave as if he was right.

"Alright, take care of your wife and baby-to-be. Grandpa will be waiting for you at home." said grandfather made his heart slightly pinched.

A crystal thread was seen starting to fall down both of his cheeks after the phone call ended. Dave was really trying to hold the tightness in his chest.

Actually he was eager to complain to his grandfather about Lisa's current condition, he was anxious to complain how devastated he was at this time having to watch his wife struggle between life and death.

In fact, he wanted to tell if he was very sad now because he had lost their baby. And stupidly, right now there is nothing he can do but wait for the miracle that God might give to his little family.

Tok tok, tock,

Suddenly the knocking sound on the door rang out, making him wipe away the tears from both of his cheeks and take a deep breath before finally allowing someone to enter.

"Come in." said Dave briefly as he turned his back to the door while placing a limited edition Rolex watch on his wrist.

"All right, I'll be there right away" said Dave rushing in a light blue knit sweater.

The doctor is seen walking out when Dave arrives, and without making small talk Dave asks about the progress of his wife's condition.

"How's the doctor ?" ask Dave in a hurry.

"Mrs Walton's condition is better than last night, it's just that she's still not aware of you" explains doctor Bryan a little afraid to give an answer.

"Whatchu mean? say it clearly!" dave said with an intimidating look.

"M. I mean the mistress will probably be in a coma for a while" Bryan explained.

Degh,

"What did you guys do that couldn't make my wife realize huh?!" dave said pulling the doctor's collar again made him even more afraid.

"Pardon us sir, we have done our best. I'm really sorry." said Bryan's doctor, who dared not look at Dave directly.

Dave immediately let go of his grip, sighing harshly.

"We will immediately move the madam to the treatment room, excuse me sir" said Bryan's doctor, followed by several nurses who were pushing the bed where his wife was lying with a pale face.

Dave was finally only able to resigned to the conditions that hit him at this time. He followed the nurses and tried to line himself up next to his wife without forgetting to hold her hand warmly.

1 hour later, James arrived at the hospital with several bodyguards in black suits. Mike told her where Lisa was. James was one of the most important men in the government.

Therefore his arrival became the thing that made everyone seem rowdy. They also wondered about the purpose of his arrival to the hospital.

One of the nurses on the floor of the room where Lisa was also trying to lead him and show the room he was headed.

James sighed softly before finally deciding to open the door of the VVIP room where Dave and Lisa were inside.

"uncle James." said Dave a little surprised by the arrival of his father's best friend.

"Calm down Dave, I'm sure your wife will be fine. She's a strong, tough woman." James tried to comfort Dave while giving him a hug to strengthen her.

"Thank you uncle, you're right. My wife is a strong woman she will definitely survive." - Dave with reddened eyes, but he forced the corners of his lips to lift for a moment.

"I've heard everything, you take it easy. I'll help you investigate your wife's accident. So you take it easy, and focus on taking care of Lisa." James said, making Dave even more relieved.

Yes, all this time, he was always lucky to be surrounded by good people like James and Harvey. Even though his father had died, but the two of them never left him and always supported him at all times.

James and Harvey were like his father's replacement. Dave has a lot of respect for them and so do the two who already consider Dave to be his own son.
