My Wife, My Destiny

My Wife, My Destiny
Chapter 36

For almost 3 hours Lisa just sat pensively in a garden chair overlooking a beautiful artificial lake right behind the 45-story apartment building that looks magnificent.

One of the luxury apartments located in the middle of the city that carries the theme of natural beauty. The park alone has an area of almost 2 hectars with pine trees and some beautiful flower gardens.

While in the middle there is an artificial lake that is quite large and looks beautiful. We will not even realize if all of it is an artificial garden because it looks very beautiful and natural.

Since then Amy has been busy answering messages with her boss who constantly asks if Lisa has returned to the apartment or not and what she is doing now. Having run out of words to reply to her master's message, Amy chooses to photograph Lisa secretly and send it to David.

And sure enough, after Amy sent him a picture of Lisa smiling while feeding the bird in front of her David finally stopped sending her messages.

"Miss, the day is about to start in the afternoon. What if we go back." said Amy who finally ventured to talk after hours.

He did not dare to say a word seeing the first 1 hour Lisa was there He just sat there pensive. The next 1 hour Lisa started crying and now after she felt better Lisa decided to feed the birds in the park.

"You're Amy's year, ever since I was a little girl, I've been an orphan. I grew up in an orphanage on the outskirts of town." Lisa finally started telling stories.

"My life used to be so hard and it felt so exhausting. Even so I remained grateful, for God gave me a spacious heart and a strong determination."

"When I was 10 years old, there was a simple family who adopted me. I was so happy then and thought that I would finally have a family." Lisa said with tears welling up in her eyes.

His voice sounded a little quivering when he said that. It was as if there was a weight in his heart when he remembered that. Lisa continues her story.

"They are a couple who look good and warm. I thought they were the ideal parents of every child in our orphanage. All my friends at the parlour looked with envy at me when the day I was officially adopted and ready to leave the parlour."

"I was so happy because I finally felt like I had a complete and perfect looking parent like them.

But it turns out, it was just my wishful thinking." said Lisa featuring a bitter smile on her face.

"Did something happen Miss ? did they treat you badly? “ ask Amy curious.

"It's not like that, Amy. My foster parents were very kind and loved me sincerely. But it did not last long." said Lisa again paused the story removing tears that have now been plunged freely on both cheeks.

"That was the 6 most beautiful months of my life Amy. We lived in a beautiful country house, one day when I came home from school I found something terrible. Both of my adoptive parents were already lying on the ground in their back yards covered in blood" Lisa said again feeling tightness in her chest.

"Miss." call Amy while hugging Lisa to calm her down who seemed to cry as much as she wanted.

For a while Lisa cried in Amy's arms to channel all the emotions entrenched in her heart. The bitter memories that he always kept in his heart, he never even told anyone.

After almost 30 minutes Lisa looked much calmer. Her tears also seemed to be falling. David was shocked to hear what his wife was telling Amy.

But it turns out David was surprised when his wife even told him about his wife's past. Why He never knew that, David was very sorry because He missed important things in his investigation.

And as they remember, when they were little Lisa also never told me if she had been adopted by someone.

"Although it's only 6 months, but I'm still grateful for being a part of their lives even at the last moment" Lisa forced a faint smile on her face.

"Miss, if I may say how they died? " ask Amy again.

"Let's know, I was a kid and I didn't understand much. But according to the police, both of my parents died because they were killed by a herd of robbers" Lisa explained.

Suddenly his memory again sends him to a bittersweet story in the past. After his parents died, he was returned to the orphanage.

All his friends always mocked him as the son of an unlucky bearer. They continue to make Lisa as gossip material.

"People say I'm the unlucky bearer that my adoptive parents died tragically like that. Just like my real parents who died tragically in a fire. For the sake of saving me, they had to lose their lives." Lisa explained with a lowered head, her shoulders still slightly shaking and a small sob sometimes escaped her lips.

"Fuckily, I believe what people say about me. Therefore, I chose to stay in the orphanage until I was old enough to be able to get out."

"Whenever anyone comes and wants to adopt me, I will vehemently refuse. I'm afraid there will be new parents who have bad luck meeting me."

"Miss, there's no son of a pesky carrier. Believe me, it's just a coincidence.“ said Amy trying to build the confidence of her best friend.

" Any, in my life I don't know a lot of people. And now you're the only friend I can trust." Lisa made Amy quickly disconnect the phone that David was connected to.

He knows where this conversation will lead to, so do not let the master hear what Lisa will say next. If not, then finish the story.

"Sure miss, I understand." Amy said firmly.

"Don't hide anything from me anymore. I hate being lied to like that, even though he is my husband, betrayal is betrayal. Regardless of whatever the reason." Lisa said as she looked up at the sky that began to look dark.

"Bb. good miss." Amy's great-granddaughter unkindly.

After a deal with Amy is made, Lisa agrees to return to the apartment. Although Lisa was reluctant, but she also realized that there was nowhere else she could go.

Where else can she go, while all she has in this world is her husband alone. Although in his heart still stored an unstoppable disappointment, but he tried to be patient.

Until he's ready, and the right time comes he'll just pretend to be stupid. Let time heal the disappointment in her heart towards her husband.
