Just a Misunderstanding
Lisa woke up when the twilight had already shown her tinge in the sky that afternoon. He looked around like he was looking for something or maybe someone.
"David." call Lisa break the silence making the owner of the name turn his head.
"You awake? " ask Dave while approaching him who is sitting leaning on the king size bed.
At this time, Lisa was already not too awkward with the presence of Dave by her side. He began to get used to being in a room with a foreign man who had helped his life, Lisa thought.
"Are you hungry? " ask Dave gently staring into his wife's eyes.

One hand outstretchedly rubbed the wavy strands of hair belonging to Lisa that looked a little messy. Lisa felt a little nervous with Dave's gentle treatment of her.

Lisa tries to digest all the explanations of her husband, she looks into Dave's eyes which do not look a lie at all.

"Yes, you just misunderstood, baby. There's nothing between me and Grace." Dave's assertion makes Lisa feel the weight in her heart lifted a little.
Whether he admitted it or not, there was a sense of relief and pleasure in what the man before him was saying. Lisa doesn't know if she still loves Dave or not, which is clear when she feels relieved because the misunderstanding between them is finally over.
"Trust me dear. I've never left you this long, because I love you so much." Dave finally made Lisa believe.

Dave pulled his wife's body into his arms. Dave is determined, if he can't make Lisa remember about their relationship at least he will make her fall back in love with him.
Dave was willing if he had to bother to repeat his struggle first to get the heart and trust of his wife. He is sure even though Lisa does not remember it, but Lisa will always love him.
He just has to be more patient and wait. No matter how long, he will wait for his love to return. Dave would not allow any more misunderstandings to occur between them.
