Dian also did not lose the shock of hearing Riyadh's speech. The woman even covered her gaping mouth with both hands. He did not expect that the man had come to visit the special Mansion to propose to him.
"How, Dian? Are you willing to accept my proposal?" riyadh asked as there was still no answer coming out of the woman's lips.
Dian stared at the beautiful ring then her gaze turned to the man who was holding the ring. Dian thought hard, she was still confused by her feelings towards the man.
"Master Riyadh, may I ask for some time to think about it?" dian replied with a stammer.
Marissa patted her cheek after hearing the mother's reply. He could not believe that his mother still needed time to answer his father's proposal.
"Oh, Mother! Just say 'Yes', what's the trouble, '" muttered Marissa.
"Hust! You like to interfere. Let them decide for themselves, we'll just be spectators!" sahut Marcello's.
"But, Dad! I'm so upset about it,"
"Here, shut up."
Riyadh looked disappointed after hearing Dian's reply. However, he still tried to keep smiling warmly to the woman.
"But, why? Do you still hate me, Dian?" lirih Riyadh's.
"Bu-not! Not like that, Mr. Riyadh. Honestly, I never hated you. But, it seems like I should talk about this to Marissa first. Isn't that right, Marissa?"
Dian glanced at Marissa whose face looked bent. The woman coded Marissa to confirm the answer. Dian nodded her head and blinked her eyes repeatedly at her daughter. Marissa rolled her eyeballs. He did not know what was on his mind until he asked for time just to say 'Yes' only.
"Well, right? Marissa understood. We have to talk about it first" Dian replied with a wry smile staring at Riyadh.
Riyadh exhaled heavily while watching Dian's beautiful face at that moment.
"Well, tomorrow I'll come back here to ask you for an answer. But I beg of you, Dian. Never say 'Yes' if you just have to," Riyadh replied with a sad face looking at the woman.
Dian nodded her head quickly. "Yes, of course, Mr. Riyadh. I'll answer your proposal according to my heart," replied Dian confidently.
Riyadh smiled again, although clearly the smile was forced. He returned the beautiful ring to the gold box and then put it back in the pocket of the pants he was wearing.
Now he turned around then looked at Marcello and Marissa who were still standing behind him. He threw his warm smile at the couple and then said goodbye.
"I think I should go back, Marcello. And maybe, tomorrow I'll come back here. Asking for an answer about my application to Dian," said Riyadh as he glanced again at the beautiful woman who was now standing behind him.
"Of course, Mr. Riyadh. With pleasure, we will always wait for your arrival" replied Marcello.
"Dad just calm down. Actually, I'm just nervous. Marissa was so sure, I'd say 'Yes' tomorrow. So, don't get discouraged just yet, huh?!" marissa said, holding the man's hand.
Riyadh chuckled at the words of his daughter. He grabbed Marissa by the shoulder and kissed her forehead.
"Father is not the kind of man who never gives up, Cha. I will keep fighting until the last blood!" the answer.
"Well, so dong, Dad! Marissa was glad to hear that."
By night.
Dian sat on the edge of her bed with a worried face. Marissa was at the door of her room. Marissa wants to talk about Mr. Riyadh's proposal. Slowly, Marissa knocked on the door while calling out to her mother.
"Mom, it's me, Marissa. Can I come in?" ask Marissa from outside the room.
Dian's daydreams broke, he immediately got up from his position and then walked to the door of the room.
"Just a minute, son."
Patiently, Marissa waited for the door to open until she saw the mother who was now standing at the door smiling warmly at her.
"Come in, son."
Dian grabs Marissa's hand and leads her to the edge of the bed and sits Marissa there.
"How, Ma?" ask Marissa who was impatient to know Dian's answer at that time.
The worried face came back. Dian was confused as to what to answer about the proposal. Marissa was also confused after seeing the expression on her mother's face at that time. It made her wonder what exactly is on Dian's mind now.
"What's the matter, Mom? It seems like it's hard for you to say 'Yes'?" ask Marissa.
"Actually,"
Dian exhaled heavily again and looked at Marissa with a sad look.
"What exactly, Mom? say?!" marissa asked increasingly curious.
