"Congratulations, Mr. Riyadh. Your baby boy has been born safely without any lack of anything. However, Lady Dian was still in a critical state. She's bleeding heavily and we're just praying, hopefully Lady Dian will get through her critical period soon" said the doctor, who just came out of the operating room.
Marissa's cry broke out in Marcello's arms. "Mother, Dad!" marissa said in between her sobs.
"Pray, Cha. Pray for the best for your mother, so she can get through her critical moments" Marcello said.
Not only Marissa, Riyadh was no less sad. The man could not even bear his grief after learning how his wife was currently.
"Yes, God. Don't take my wife this fast! Me and our baby still need it the most" murmured Riyadh while rubbing his face rough.
Zaid, who was also in the room, immediately approached the father and stroked his back gently.
"Patience, Pah. May Mama Dian be healthy again and be able to gather with us," he said.
Not long after, a nurse brought a handsome baby who had been wrapped in a cloth bedong. The nurse approached Mr. Riyadh and handed him over.
Riyadh greeted him with teary eyes. After a long time, she finally had another baby. Riyadh kissed the two cheeks of the tiny baby in turn. Zaid was so enthusiastic to welcome the presence of the handsome baby. He watched the little baby while smiling.
"Well, can I hold her?" pinta Zayd's.
Riyadh nodded his head and handed the baby to Zaid. The young man carried her very carefully.
"Look, Marissa. Our sister is very handsome and she looks like me" Zaid said with great confidence.
Marissa, who was so sad, chuckled after hearing Zaid's confident words.
"Oh my goodness, brother. You are very confident to admit that handsome dede is similar to you," said Marissa as she wiped her tears.
"It turns out not his father, not his son, it's the same," muttered Marcello who still hugged Marissa's body.
"Yes, biarin. No one wants to praise me. Right, Deck?" said Zaid who now invites the tiny baby to talk.
"Here, let me carry it, brother." Marissa broke Marcello's embrace and approached Zaid, extending her hand to the man.
Slowly Zaid handed the tiny baby to Marissa and let the woman carry and hug her affectionately.
"Dede, pray for a healthy mother again, yes. Let's get together like we used to. There's Mom, Dad, Brother Zaid, Brother Icha, same twin M" said Marissa with trembling lips.
"I? Why wasn't I mentioned?" marcello protest.
"Ah, yes. Brother Icha forgot, same Om Marcello too."
Marcello rounded his eyes perfectly. "It's not fair! Why was it my turn that I was called Om? The little baby should have called me Brother Marcello. Heh, it feels like I'm 20 years younger."
"Heh, this gray hair is not a symbol that my age is old. However, this is a symbol that my life is far more experienced than yours" he said proudly.
"Hhhh, same thing."
Riyadh could only smile wryly at their rant without wanting to reply.
"Oh come on, Riyadh! Be excited! At least for your little baby" Marcello said, patting Riyadh on the shoulder.
Riyadh nodded his head with a smile. However, his lips were still tightly closed, just like before.
Day later.
"How's my wife doing, Doc?" ask Riyadh with a pale face.
Since yesterday Riyadh has not even slept a bit. Doctor smile. The smile the doctor threw made Riyadh feel a little calmer.
"Mistress Dian's condition is progressing rapidly. He has passed his critical period even though the current condition of Lady Dian is still weak. But you can see him, just don't take too long. Let Madam Dian rest more because she needs him the most."
The doctor's speech at the time made everyone in the room happy. Finally, their prayers were answered by God.
"Thank you, God. Because you have granted our prayers" Riyadh said.
"I'll excuse you, sir, Miss," said the doctor.
"Yes, Doctor. Thank you very much" Riyadh said.
Marissa slammed into his father's arms while shedding her tears. "Finally" said Marissa.
"Yes, Son. Your mother still stands up for all of us" Riyadh said as he peeked at Marissa's head.
After breaking her arms with Marissa, Riyadh immediately entered the room where Dian was being treated. The woman was weak and her eyes were still tightly closed. Slowly Riyadh approached Dian's bed and noticed his deathly pale face.
"Dian Maharani, my wife." Riyadh grabbed Dian's hand then kissed the back of the woman's hand.
Slowly Dian opened her eyes and then fell back a thin smile on her paled face.
"I miss you, Dian," shrieked Riyadh with teary eyes looking at the woman.
